Nigerian pop star Davido performed at rapper J.Cole’s Dreamville Festival which took place in North Carolina, United States over the last weekend.

Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy has finally revealed why he's yet to get married.He made the revelation while on episode of “Street Hop” on Hip TV and according to him, his choice of being single is simply because there are lots of amazing people and he is not sure of which one to go for.

“There are a lot of amazing people, that’s why I can’t pick one. It doesn’t have anything to do with my status. I have trust issues but I feel like even if I wasn’t Don Jazzy, I probably would be the same,” he said.

This is coming just after the music producer took to his Instagram account to tease that he now has a girlfriend.

Speaking about artistes who back out of music deals with his label, Don Jazzy said he has learned to move on in the face of the fast-growing nature of the country’s music industry.

“The Nigerian music industry has come a long way. We used to get sentimental about these things and some still are. Unlike when it used to take everyone unawares, people have gotten used to it,” he explained.

“I’ve been through almost every scenario you can think of in the music industry. It’s not the end of the world. You get to realize that these things happen. If you get to a point where you feel you can do it by yourself, then why not?”

“I don’t really want to be with anyone that doesn’t want to be with me. My contract is the only contract in the world that has the clause ‘the moment you’re tired, you can go.'”

A man has taken to social media to narrate how he saved his family from kidnappers just moments after they were abducted.

In his narration, he mentioned that his wife was driving ahead of him on their way from a church program when she was waylaid by the kidnappers.

He gave them a pursuit and was able to crash his car into theirs before saving his family members.

He wrote:

Nigerian contemporary rapper MI Abaga has rendered his support to Simi in her fight against Yahoo boys.The songstress had earlier called out the internet fraudsters over their illicit activities and asked them to desist from listening to her music.

While taking side with her, MI also re-echoed the adverse effects of the activities of Yahoo boys in the society and how it is hurting more people than the few ones it is helping.

An American lady has taken to Twitter to give a narration on an encounter she had with a Nigerian man she met online.

According to her, the man approached her and told her he would love to marry her so he could gain access into the United States of America and they could then divorce once he gets there.

She said she was thrilled by his courage and eventually offered to help him.

A newly-born baby from a family of Nigerian migrants has died during home circumcision in Italy, the second such incident in little over a week.

ANSA reported the newborn died overnight near the port city of Genoa after his Nigerian mother and grandmother called for emergency medical help.

According to the ANSA news agency, the baby, only a few weeks old, was found dead at home in Genoa, a port city in north-western Italy, by emergency services called in by his Nigerian mother and grandmother.


“The events took place overnight. The two women have been taken in for questioning by Police amid suspicions that a third person attempted the circumcision,’’ the ANSA news agency said.

On March 25, a five-month-old boy from a Ghanaian family living near Reggio Emilia in northern Italy, died in hospital after his parents tried a home circumcision.

There was also a case in December when a 66-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of a two-year-old boy as a result of a circumcision ritual in a town north-east of Rome.

Circumcisions are expensive and not subsidised by the National Health Service; so, many migrant families try to perform them on their own or rely on unlicensed doctors.

According to Mustafa Qaddurah, a paediatrician and representative of the Islamic Centre of Rome, who spoke to ANSA, “the only solution’’ is for the state to pay for the operations.

Circumcisions are often performed within Muslim and Jewish communities for religious and hygienic reasons.

Circumcision is the surgical removal of the foreskin, the tissue covering the head (glans) of the penis.

It is an ancient practice that has its origin in religious rites. Today, many parents have their sons circumcised for religious or other reasons.

Nigerian actress, Omotola's tribute to 1st child Princess is nothing but an epistle of the strong bond between a mother and her daughter.

If you recall, Princess turned 22 few days ago and her parents gifted her with her 1st car. In her emotional post on Instagram, Omotola referred to her daughter as her Woman Crush Wednesday.

She wrote:

”#wcw She was barely a year,she started running a temperature,can’t remember how many hours anymore… she is our first child and we had not much experience.

Gave her some medication didn’t seem to get better…suddenly,she slipped into what seemed to be a COMA.

I panicked,we all did… neighbors everyone screaming and suggesting all sorts…. she was clenching her teeth fiercely, an Old woman we knew in the neighborhood suggested to put a spoon and pour SALT into her mouth (Totally wrong move)”Pls cold shower”…

We rushed her to the hospital and at first, the doctors were a bit reluctant ( I guess they thought it was a lost case) however, almost without much hurry she was worked on and miraculously,she came back!

She had prior turned cold and was not responsive… hmm

We were told , it was “High fever” it had affected her brain and she could probably not develop normally or be able to catch up with her peers. Short of saying a vegetable…. As people of faith, we called on God, used proper medication and most importantly, applied extra lessons and treated her Normal as others.

At first it was challenging, as she grew, she struggled, mostly with her sight. She couldn’t see things right in front of her! Even in school , she would be put in front and still not see. A few changed schools,glasses,extra lessons …we kept pushing.

At every level Princess Worked Extremely hard,harder than others . Always trying to prove everyone wrong and pass.

Every time we feared or doubted, she passed with flying colors and moved to the Next phase! Miracles before our eyes… Today she not only finished well from Uni, she insists on going for her Masters and is conquering all her fears.

Yesterday, she drove with her dad without instructions back and forth in traffic all around v.i.

You might not really understand this but anyone whose been told they can’t achieve or do something especially for health reasons will understand.

This is the first time I am saying this in public and Many will be shocked,some might go,oh… now I understand… Princess, you’ve been an inspiration to Me without even knowing. May you inspire others too. God Continue to Bless you my #WCE ”

A man identified as Mubarak Abdullahi has been sentenced to jail for stealing chicken.

The 29-year-old ex-convict was sentenced by a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, to five months in prison.

Abdullahi, who resides at Angwan Hausawa Karmo, had pleaded guilty to the three counts of being in possession of a chicken suspected to be stolen, idleness and constituting nuisance.

The convict pleaded with the court saying, “Please sir, temper justice with mercy, times are hard, and no work in the country.”

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Ijeoma Ukagha, told the court that one Mohammed Ismailia, a team of vigilance group at Idu Gbagji, arrested and took him to the Karmo Police Station on Monday.

The prosecutor said that the convict has been prosecuted before for stealing a turkey.

During police investigation, he said that the convict confessed to the crime and all efforts made by the police to take them where he stole the chicken from proved abortive.

Ukagha said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 319, 406 and 199 of the Penal Code.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he will surely put in his best Nigerians in his 2nd term in office.

The president made this known while speaking with the board of trustees and Advisory Council of Gidauniyar Jihar Katsina (Katsina State Development Fund) at the state house, Abuja, on Monday.

Buhari, who thanked the council for their support, said his campaign to all states of the federation was an eye opener.

A cleric of a NKST Church in Gboko, Benue State has allegedly sent out all Catholic faithfuls out of the church during a wedding ceremony holding within the premises of the House of God.

According to one Ferdinand Mary, who made the revelation via Facebook, the pastor had claimed the non NKST Church members are not allowed into the church, as stated by the 2019 Code of Conduct of the church.

A guest of the groom who came from makurdi, condemned the pastor's action, saying he, the pastor was not fit to gather Christians for Christ. Mr. G. James posted that, the pastor if he never liked the catholics would have advised the young man, Sam Vihi, not to pick his wife keziah from a Catholic family, a family that has produced a Rev. Father. Only for him to disgrace young men and ladies well dressed, including the best man to such humiliation.

A suspected bandit in Zamfara State apprehended by members of the Civilan JTF, has been executed by an angry mob.

The mob, apparently angered by the incessant killings in the state and the inability of the government to curb their actions, decided to take the law into their hands.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Shinkafi local government area of the state, where about 40 persons were killed by armed bandits over the weekend.

A witness at the scene who posted the photos on social media wrote:

A Brunei Gay Law which goes into effect on Wednesday in the Southeast Asian country, will punish adultery and homosexual sex with death.

Anyone found guilty of the offenses will be stoned to death, according to a new penal code based on Sharia law, an Islamic legal system that outlines strict corporal punishments.

The strict new laws were announced by the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, in 2014 and have been rolled out gradually in the small nation on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia, CNN reports.

The latest phase of implementation, including the brutal new provisions, was quietly announced on the Brunei attorney general's website in December.

The Sultan "does not expect other people to accept and agree with it, but that it would suffice if they just respect the nation in the same way that it also respects them," according to the government website.

The country has no plans to halt the law amid international pressure, according to a statement from the office of Brunei's Prime Minister.

Just yesterday Richard Nnaji, the owner of Escape Night Club, took to his social media to reveal a damning secret about celebrities that were chronic debtors at his club.He added that he would soon release the list celebrities who have refused to pay him what they owe.

He also revealed that his club has been shut down due to a N120 million debt.While speaking during a recent interview, Nnaji revealed that Bobrisky is in the list of customers that never owes.

The Office of the National Productivity Centre, NPC located at Cape Town Street, Zone 4, Wuse, Abuja, was on Wednesday afternoon gutted by fire.

The Director-General of the Centre, Kashim Akot, reported that the fire was caused by the electric surge in one of the sockets in the upper building of the office, Daily Post reports.

Although no life was lost, the fire, however, ravaged some parts of the first floor of the building.

The NPC boss regretted that many important data that are relevant for national usage were lost during the unfortunate incident.

The NPC, an agency under the Federal Ministry of Labour supervised by Senator Chris Ngige as Minister, aims at improving the quality of lives of Nigerians by making available increased quantity and improved quality of goods and services to the people.

A 40-year-old man identified as Abubakar Hamisu, has reportedly died of gunshot wounds while testing bulletproof charm in Katsina State.

Another man who is reported to be the late Abubakar's friend, Rabe Salisu also sustained gunshot injuries in the incident.

The deceased and Salisu are from old Kwari village in the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, where the incident occurred, The Punch reportsThe police said the incident occurred on March 16, 2019.

The man, who was alleged to have mistakenly pulled the gun’s trigger, Mani Mohammed, has been arrested by the police and charged to court.

Mohammed, 43, who resides in the same village with the deceased and Salisu, reported himself at the Jibia Police Station on the day that the incident occurred.

It was learnt that Mohammed mistakenly pulled the trigger while attempting to collect the gun from the others, who were testing the efficacy of the bulletproof charm.The gun reportedly went off, while the pellets hit both the deceased and Salisu.

2 sisters have explained in details to an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Special Offences Court, on how a driver, Gabriel Ogbar, who is their father raped them serially for years. 

They told told Justice Abiola Soladoye that the incidents occurred from when they were 10 and 12 years old, at their home at Oke-Ogbe, Atura area of Badagry, Lagos State, Guardian reports.

They testified against Ogbar at the continuation of his trial for the offences. Sister A, now 23, told the court that she endured sexual abuse from her father for five years from the age of 12 until she was 18. She said: “When I was 12, I was living with my mum and dad, my mum is not always around because she is a businesswoman and my father was a driver at the time.

Nigerian singer Mayorkun had taken to his social media page yesterday to announce to his audience the cost of his new car, a Mercedes-Benz CLA 250, he purchased ahead of his 25th birthday.

The singer had claimed the worth of the car is N35 million.

In the caption he wrote:

But according to Weares4lent.com, the cost of a Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 is actually N11 million, judging from the dollar rate of the car, which is about $33,100

They wrote:

He claims to have bought the car for such amount, however simple Google search shows that a 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 is being sold for 33,100 dollars which is equilvalent to just over 11million Naira.

A man identified as Ogho-Oghene Stephen Akpata, who killed wife a month after wedding has been sentenced to death by a Federal High court in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State.

42 year old Ogho-Oghene Stephen Akpata had stabbed his wife Oyinye Faustina Eze, with a kicthen knife at their home in the Kpansia area of Yenagoa in August 2017.

Faustina and Stephen, a returnee from Australia, met in February 2017 when he came for his Sim card registration at her office. Faustina who was previously working at the Bonny Island branch of Globacom, was transferred to Yenogoa and so she had to relocate.

When they met, he asked her out and she accepted his proposal. They got married in July after many times of him dodging to go see her parents and by August he had murdered her. She was about 4 months pregnant with their son.

Upon his arrest after the murder, Stephen alleged his wife was having an extramarital affair.He has been in trial since and just yesterday, the court sentenced him to death by hanging.

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has revealed how MC Galaxy Freaky Friday on Instagram live came to reality.

The actress made the revelation in an interview with the Pulse, where she stated that MC Galaxy got the idea when he called in on her own Freaky Friday session on Instagram.

She said:

"So MC Galaxy is Freaky Friday started from my page. One evening I was doing my own personal live on my own page and MC Galaxy called in. And so for some reason, I was just, you know, playing we were playing together and I showed my legs. I'm like, Oh, I love my legs and beautiful legs, you know?

And, and then people just started to you know, commenting only watching it live. Oh, we need more, shows us more. So, it was just all jokes and then people were coming on, people were calling their brothers and cousins and then the people were just coming in like thousands of people that they are my own live that day and so after that call MC Galaxy called me and he was like he didn’t know that people like those kind of things and he said he's going to start Freaky Friday on his page.

She then went further to say:
