Teens on SnapChat have been spotted in many videos eating wrapped foods ranging from sweets, cookies, banana, whole eggs and orange peel.

In most cases things like fruit skins are not usually dangerous to consume, particularly banana skins and orange peel.

The bigger issue is consuming plastics as it can be harder for your body to digest and can potentially have long-term effects on your body.

Doctors are warning people that eating plastic is not healthy.

A 100 level University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT student studying Chemical Engineering, has reportedly died of possible suicide after battling with depression for a very long time.

According to reports by friends, the lady identified as Hikmat Gbadamosi was found dead in her room, yesterday.

Reports have it that the deceased had been battling a medical condition since birth and the resulting pain sent her into depression.

She is assumed to have consumed two bottles of a poisonous substance on Saturday and was only discovered on Monday after her best friend stormed her room with other classmates to check on her and know why she didn’t show up in school for a test they had yesterday.

One of Lee Rigby’s killers, Michael Adebowale, is reportedly bidding to be transferred to Nigeria to complete his jail sentence in a Nigerian jail with a VIP wing.

Michael Adebowale, 37, is currently in detention at HMP Wakefield, but wants to have a prisoner-swap deal between the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

Adebowale, who is serving a 45 year jail term for the 2013 murder, was born in Britain but has Nigerian parents.

A source told The Sun:

“Michael hates Wakefield. It’s stuffed full of lags who see him as a top target. He thinks he can spend the rest of his sentence in Africa.”

It is reported that Adebowale has written to immigration experts asking for advice.

But it is thought that his bid would fail because he was not born in the West African country.

Adebowale was moved to HMP Wakefield, a high security prison dubbed “Monster Mansion”, last year.

He and Michael Adebolajo hacked Mr Rigby, 25, to death by his barracks in Woolwich, south-east London.

The Fusilier’s mother Lyn Rigby reacted to Adebowale’s bid, describing it as a “disgrace and an insult to Lee”.

It was reported that Adebowale plans to seek a transfer to Lagos’ Kirikiri jail where then-Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson agreed to pay for a new £700,000 wing in 2014.

Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has said pop-star Davido is broke after the artiste paid as much as $15million for radio airplay in the US.She made the statement while reacting to a viral video of the singer riding a Uber.

Kemi mentioned that after paying the huge sum as Payola to various radio stations across the country, Davido could no longer afford to get a private car to take him home from the airport.

Facebook CEO and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has built a sleep box for his wife Priscilla so she could sleep well at night.

Priscilla, according to Mark, had been having difficulty having good sleep because of the kids. The sleep box was constructed in such a way that it emit some light when it;s the right time for her to wake from sleep.

He made the revelation via his Instagram page:

Being a mom is hard, and since we’ve had kids Priscilla has had a hard time sleeping through the night. She’ll wake up and check the time on her phone to see if the kids might wake up soon, but then knowing the time stresses her out and she can’t fall back asleep. So I worked on building her what I call the “sleep box”.

It sits on her nightstand, and between the hours of 6-7am it emits a very faint light — visible enough that if she sees it she’ll know it’s an okay time for one of us to get the kids, but faint enough that the light won’t wake her up if she’s still sleeping.

And since it doesn’t show the time, if she wakes up in the middle of the night, she knows to just go back to sleep without having to worry about what time it is. So far this has worked better than I expected and she can now sleep through the night.

As an engineer, building a device to help my partner sleep better is one of the best ways I can think of to express my love and gratitude. A bunch of my friends have told me they’d want something like this, so I’m putting this out there in case another entrepreneur wants to run with this and build sleep boxes for more people!

A Nigerian student identified as Augustine Wallies, has been murdered by his compatriots after he was accused of stealing his roommate’s money in Cyprus.

According to the police, Augustine, a student of the Near East University, was hit on the head till he passed out and his body was dumped in a forest area in Haspolat on Friday, April, 19, 2019.

However, with the help of surveillance cameras, 12 people, including 9 Nigerians, have been arrested in connection with the murder and 3 of them have admitted their roles.

The suspects appeared in court in Lefkosa, today. One of the suspects told the police that the murder took place in the living room of an apartment. He added that the deceased was severely beaten and strangled.

Those arrested include: Eze Christopher, Ambrose Kelechi ONYEUKWU, Afamaefune Hanry UWADIBIE, Clement Ozuman MANUFUR, Christian Chukwuka ALZANI.

A notorious pick-pocket arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) over the weekend, revealed how much he makes in the 'business' on a daily basis.

CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, The Chairman of the Taskforce, disclosed that the suspect was nabbed on top of ‘Costain Bridge’ around Surulere area of Lagos, Vanguard reports.

The suspect, Godwin Okafor (31) of No. 127, Ojo Road, Ajegunle, is a leader of a gang who specialises in picking pockets and robbing the public of their valuables such as phones and jewelries.

He confessed during interrogation that has been in the business for a very long time and he graduated from being a conductor to picking people’s pockets

“We have been in this robbery and pick-pocketing business for long as we dispossessed our passengers of their valuables such as wallets, jewelries, including phones which we sold as fairly used to the public”

The suspect also claimed they were making N80,000 to N100,000 everyday after selling the stolen phones and other valuables.

A Kenyan Nanny caught on CCTV beating a sick baby with a carpet brush because she vomited on the sofa, has been arrested by the Police.

The mother of the helpless baby posted the footage of the incident on social media on April 19 and the Police launched a man-hunt for the nanny who had escaped. She was eventually arrested in another location.

The Kenyan mother of two posted the incident on Facebook to warn other mothers about the nanny from hell.

“On this video, this is my daughter Amani,she is 2 and 1/2 years old and the other is Praxides Lumiti Vicheti, the nanny from hell. On 12th March 2019, i saw a footage from my CCTV as my daughter was being brutally beaten with a carpet brush simply because she had vomitted on the Sofa.

First, my daughter was sick, the previous day we were from hospital and sadly my daughter was diagnosed with ulcers(God knows how long this torture had been happening for my daughter to be so stressed).

We rushed back home and quickly fired the nanny without looking at the full footage. We should have called the police! I know!!!!!I swear its always hard to explain the decisions we make while on panic mode.

Finally after the lady left we reviewed the footage and my heart still breaks when i see what my daughter went through. So we decided to just use legal means to get justice for our daughter. We reported the matter and finally began the journey to tracking and arresting her.

We finally arrested her in parklands where she was working( thank you Viola Ayoo for pretending you knew nothing till we came with the police). On arresting her, we came to know that a few days after leaving my house she had a job at Phenom Estate and later on left for Parklands. This DMs have a huge demand.

She was taken to court and is finally out on bond but i wouldn’t be suprised if she is working for another lady who knows nothing about the devil she welcomed to her home.

This is my point, what ever happened to my daughter is irreversible and hopefully she will be well helthwise. Its my sole duty to ensure that no other child goes through this or even worse.

A Nigerian Police officer identified as Akinola Ola Rotimi, has taken to Facebook to show appreciation to God after returning safely from fighting Boko Haram in the North Eastern part of the country.

Rotimi revealed that himself and 62 of his colleagues spent left Lagos for an assignment, just exactly 187 days ago and now he is back at the same spot where he prayed before they left for the assignment.

A Pastor is considering divorcing his wife upon discovering that 'his children' don't belong to him, after DNA tests were being conducted on them.

In his narration, the man revealed that he had an accident years ago before meeting his wife and he was told it would only take a miracle for him to father a child.

Surprisingly, years into their marriage, his wife gave birth to their 1st child and then the 2nd and then the 3rd. But after DNA tests were done on the three children, it was revealed that they belong to another man, though his wife is not aware of this.

5years before I met my wife, I was involved in a car accident together with two of my friends. We were travelling and our car skidded off the road. I was the only survivor of that accident.

The Rivers State Police Command has reacted to the reports on an alleged police brutality case on some residents of the state.

According to a certain report, youths of a local town, Atali, had stormed the Police Station in their area. The Police officers on duty were then reported to have opened fire on the protesters and one of the them was also alleged to have been stabbed with a knife by a police officer identified as Chinedu.

The report stated:

HAPPENING NOW Police officer by the name Chinedu stabbed & murdered an innocent man named Nyebuchi at Atali/Elimgbu, Obio/Akpor LGA. Rivers State. When the youths of the area went on protest at the station, @PoliceNG shot sporadically at unarmed civilians.

A 13 year old by the name Precious Gladstone & Turuchi (27) were shot by men of the @PoliceNG when youths went on protest against the murder of Nyebuchi.

Nyebuchi was stabbed to death minutes ago by a @PoliceNG officer called Chinedu. Precious Gladstone & Turuchi were subsequently shot by officers at Atali/Elimgbu Police station.

While responding to the alleged police brutality on the ‘innocent citizens’ the Rivers State Police Command debunked the initial reports and claimed that its officers at the Police Station were attacked by the youth of the Atali Community, who had earlier set ablaze an apartment of a police officer close to the station.

In her narration, she explained that he relative called her to inform her of a plot of land available for sale, which she agreed to buy and then sent her the money.

It was after the family member received the money, that stories upon stories now began to drip in. And now other members of the family want the matter settled amicably.

A man of God identified as Pastor Giwa of the Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Gospel Church, has advised Christians to stop praying for the dead.

According to daily Post, the cleric in a statement mentioned that since the dead are no longer in existence in the physical realm, nothing can be changed about them.

Giwa however said prayers should be for the living.

“It baffles me when people pray for the dead. Specifically, the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:5 that ‘For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.’

“Also in Psalm 146:4, ‘When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day, their plans come to nothing.’

“As we are still living, we have plenty of time to examine our lives whether we are in the faith. All of us are still living by grace, and when death comes, we know nothing again.

“Let us look deep into our hearts to see whether we truly serve God or not. Are we not using God’s name to gather money for ourselves? But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken, according to Matthew 12:36.”

A teenage couple in Sokoto State is set to wed after dropping their pre-wedding photos, which has since gone viral over the internet.

The 17-year-old boy identified as Aliyu and his 15-year-old fiancée, Aisha, according to reports are getting married next week.

Reports have it that Aliyu is following his family tradition of marrying early as male children in his family marry at the age of 17, while the female ones marry at 15.However, in extreme cases, they marry at the age of 19.

The tradition was allegedly embraced to prevent them from fornicating and also to allow them see their grandchildren.
