I understand you largely, and I like you too, but got to tell you when you want to start derailing the thread (you have almost done that previously though, I remember someone called for your ban at the time). Are you not the one that seems to be on the immigrant visa pursuit, whose dad is in the US and filed for? The one his dad sent church invitation to some people and they got denied and got the pink paper, and you got confused over the blue and pink paper stuff?
yeah that me stay tuned for my own thread

I swear, I still don’t understand you. Did she get the B1/B2 visa by applying for an F1 visa or what exactly were you communicating previously?
the former agent we used was helping her processing schooling, ASA college I can send all d paper work for u for proof if justwise won't ban me but the agent was exorting money from my dad and d process was taking longer than usual then my dad got a church invitation for my sister's.............. Her current f1 visa as not expire so instead of buying b1/b2 visa fee they just use d F1 Visa for her...
Note: I can send u all d proof here on nairaland if justwise won't ban me

That is a ridiculous assertion. When people post their transcripts and they made obvious mistakes are we supposed to clap for them or point it out so that they could do better next time? If like you said, with your month old profile that you read the other parts, you would see that some people post their intended transcripts before their interviews, so that others can point out loopholes. Interview is serious business, not something you wake up and go to without preparation. You have been refused visa in the past and you now tell the VO 'No' when asked, how on earth are they going to issue you with a visa? Maybe you are one of the agents or trouble makers banned here cos your reasoning is not logical and unhelpful to the applicants.
How I wish u understand me, if u follow this thread right from part 3 u will know what am talking about

@The bolded remains a major way of cowards. They create another moniker for the purpose of distraction and disruption of anything good. Wounded at heart and bitter, with their unsound take on matters, they would begin to attack those that they feel are hurting them with the truth.

But we are here, create hundreds of monikers, bring it on, you can’t give what you don’t have!

Mr “on-point”, Even though understanding you from how you write is extremely difficult and confusing, how did that F1 (instead of B1/B2) category of application fly with an invitation letter from a church please?
the former agent used was dealing with her schooling stuff ASA college he bought f1 visa category but d agent is a scam, the processing was taking a long time...

The visa officer uses these criteria to make their assessments. Nobody has said it's impossible to get a visa with an unused passport, merely that it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. The information VOLUNTEERED is not here to coddle you and tell you everything will be fine with prayer and belief; people are helping you by giving you information to the best of their knowledge. People are here to help you understand the interview process, where people are most likely to make mistakes and how to avoid them, and factors that are likely to make your application difficult to be approved.

E.g.:
Earn 150k a month, only been employed for a six months and expecting to get a visa? Difficult. Earn 350k and been employed for 3 years in the same organisation? Better. Want to use a visitor's visa to emigrate? That's illegal. Lying on your application thanks to an "agent"? Don't.

No one is guaranteeing any applicant success or failure here, but let's be real Nigerians have proven themselves to be an untrustworthy lot time and time again, so we cannot complain when we are treated as such. Even as less Nigerians are being issued visas, more are staying behind and reinforcing the negative narrative of Nigeria and its citizens.

Upset that other countries have it easier? Do your part to make Nigeria better.
bro you are off point my sisters went to US embassy with just an invitation letter, virgin passport and no income because she just finish her nysc, she didn't take any bank akant statement along, my other sister went on church invitation instead of b1/b2 her visa category was under f1 because d other agent bleeped up, both of them where issued visa and they are living their best life.....
I don't think u follow this thread from part 3.

I'm all about constructive criticism but from random person that hardly contribute to this forum, that I won't take.
I've stopped answering repetitive questions i.e I need earlier date, how do I go about applying for US visa, I have a letter of invitation, I should get the visa etc. most of this questions can be answered easily.

Okay, I get. Actually wanted to know why you are studying somewhere here in Africa instead of the US like your sibling, or even at somewhere in Europe.... I think getting a student visa for North America will be easier for you than a visit visa. Again, everything is possible, I won’t dare writing your application off.

Meanwhile, forget that “going as a group” thing, they will easily still know you to filter out if you are not qualified for the visa, no be today!
the last time we went for our USA visa, this we were denied a mother in a late 30s came with her dad that they want to go and visit their brother in Florida for vacation they gave d old man the white woman refused d lady in her late 30s I was like wow shocked shocked same with us also the V.O wanted to give my mom only visa because she is old she said she can't issue me and my younger sister visa my mum rejected it why?? No one to take care of us if she leave................. My point is that d the chances of the v.o giving d guy visa is slim.... Parent and old people have no issue in visa

I haven't said anything about bad energy. I am simply saying that it is very easy to lose confidence about your chances for a visa when you read about all the negative outcomes.

Besides, submitting your passport via drop box does not guarantee you a visa, you could still be denied or called in for an interview. We've been reading the stories.
grin

I'm one of the "silent readers".

I know the purpose of this group is to help with the visa process and that's a good thing but for some reason anytime I apply for a visa I come on the group and freak myself out with all the denial stories.

Anyways I applied for drop box on the 9th of April, was too scared to track because of the "221g" section i'd been reading about. I got an email yesterday 25th April that my passport had been collected from the embassy, went to pick up my passport today 26th and thankfully I got the visa.

Note to self: Stay away from nairaland after applying for your visas and avoid heart palpitations.
u renewed your visa you didn't went for visa interview there is no bad energy anywhere

MrTraxSta:
Hello guys.
Wish I had found this thread before. So much good advice.

Ok. So I am a Nigerian citizen and have had a US Visa since I was 17. I am 34 now and married with a child. I always do dropbox renewal.
My wife has a virgin passport and my child is just 2.
Last year I was thinking about doing drop box renewal for myself as usual but also including my spouse and child in the dropbox process, but I wasnt sure about whether my spouse and child qualify, since they have never had a visa before, so I decided to do dropbox renewal myself and have my wife and child go for the interview process just to be sure. My own renewal was successful. My wife and child then had my passport with them complete with my US visa in it with them at the interview yesterday.
My wife's DS 160 said we were going on a family vacation sponsored by me. My wife has a 4 year job at GTB and is married with a child(who was also applying for a fresh US visa too) unfortunately this was not enough to show strong ties. Im thinking I should have gone to the interview with them, because I am more convincing at that kind of thing. At the very least I should have had them try to do the renewal with me. Instead I sent them on their own to do interview. I feel responsible. I thought my wife being married to a US visa holder and having a good job would be enough for a family vacation.
Now Im looking for advice on what to do. I have been given 6 options.

1) Wait 1 year and have your wife and child reapply again. In the meantime take a family vacation to Dubai or SA or Ghana so that your wife's passport has some stamps in it. It will also make more sense when you are applying since you would have been a family vacation before as opposed to it being your first time. Try to get your wife a promotion at GTB even though you are the one sponsoring the trip it will help. Also try to own some property. Also try to have another child. You will need something for her to show as a change of status at her next interview.

2) Wait until your current US visa expires and do the dropbox renewal with your wife and child. In the meantime take a family vacation to Dubai or SA or Ghana so that your wife's passport has some stamps in it. It will also make more sense when you are applying since you would have been a family vacation before as opposed to it being your first time.

3) Wait until your current US visa expires, instead of dropbox, go to the interview with your wife and child so that you can do the interview with them.In the meantime take a family vacation to Dubai or SA or Ghana so that your wife's passport has some stamps in it. It will also make more sense when you are applying since you would have been a family vacation before as opposed to it being your first time.

4) Reapply for your wife and child today. This time your wife has to be more vocally proactive while still being polite in the interview. This is risky though. Yes she is married but she has just one child who is also applying with her. The 1st VO was not convinced they would ever come back. The 2nd VO will want to agree with the 1st VO. This is a risky one. Before reapplying I must repeat I think it is best if you should take a family vacation to Dubai or SA or Ghana so that your wife's passport has some stamps in it. It will also make more sense when you are applying since you would have been a family vacation before as opposed to it being your first time.

5) reapply immediately but only for your child, leave your wife out for now. Let your wife be a tie for the child.

6) reapply immediately but only for your wife, leave your child out for now. Let your child be a tie for her.

Which options do you think are best? I donot like 5 and 6 at all. Thanks in advance.
if only our Nigerians over staying abroad can be like this man America visa will be easy, I have nothing to say but all I can say is that I really like you for not misusing your visa you git your visa in d 90s you could have been a permanent resident you won't have any problem inviting your wife and kid filing for them is better but I just like u shaaa

My question is simple..pls I will like to apply for US visit..I have a uncle, dad, sis living and working in the US..what's my chances obtaining my Visa and how do I go about it...God Bless
if u are under 21 and your dad is a citizen or a permanent resident the best way is that they should petition for you, but if it USA visit u wan do the v.o will ask u on what visa category Did your dad and siblings used to travel out and u tell them b1/b2 then your chances are slim

I remember vividly what I posted, was trying to use some coded code to relate with someone here, and boom (seems it was internally decoded), I was suspended a few days, got to the Mod and I was released.
they suppose to change their ban law and if someone is banned they suppose to write days, month or weeks

The truth is nothing is stopping you from applying. What really matters is your main INTENT of travelling and it is left for the Visa officer to interview you and decide whether to approve your visa or not.
