TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa: How Multichoice/dstv Is Under-developing Africa by dammytex: 6:44pm On Aug 22, 2013
I wonder if a day would come when all you hypocrites would just shut up about this big brother show.
To start with, big brother is aired on all the continents. No be today e start. In fact, the African edition is the most decent.
Big brother provides a lot of fun and entertainment especially when you are less busy and you don't feel like watching anything serious that will take your full attention.
You were not told its a religious show neither is it a place for moral education. Before you switch the channel to 198 or 199, you already know the kind of content you will find, so stop deceiving yourself here on NL after watching the show for 4 hours before going to bed yesternight.

There are a lot watching BBA can offer eg,
I have learnt about different African accents, looks and cultures.
I have learnt about different personality on display.
I have learnt about strategizing while competing
I have learnt what different flags in Africa look like.
I have learnt to understand that 9ja is always a threat to any other country on the continent
And many more...

How come the only thing you all see is sex sex sex.
In fact, you will not watch any BBA porn on TV, you'd have to pay for the download online.

So, all of you should stop deceiving yourselves. The show will end come Sunday, hopefully Melvin will win it for 9ja again. Next year, I will still subscribe and watch actively anytime I'm less busy and have nothing else to watch.

In fact I love Big Brother Africa (especially this year's edition)
Ohh Dilishhhhhhhh....

Even though, the write up sounds funny, they are actually true and helpful in some struggles for public passenger buses since we Nigerians are never patient enough to queue.

@OP, are these tips also applicable for BRT buses?
EducationRe: UNILAG Students Involved In Car Accident Along Airport Road, Lagos by dammytex: 4:47pm On Jul 01, 2013
Driving along Airport road yesterday, there was a little mad traffic, only to find an EOD badly accidented with a lot of people gathering and policemen diverting traffic. There was an ambulance there too when I passed.
It was around 10pm yesternight and it was still drizzling..

Could it be the same accident?

Let's respect people's choices and focus on the campaign.

@dammytex: None of my write-ups were directed at you. I don't understand, you want me to stop campaigning so you don't feel quilty?? C'mon!

Campaign Manager,

MCCT
Of course your write-ups are making plenty sense in a way. And you almost made me feel I made the wrong choice.
But then, as an Ekiti guy that knows how to defend his decision...

I saw that Abpatrick qualifies uniformly for all the criteria needed to win Mr NL more than the other contestants including Ekwah. Patrick's interview response is good and intelligent enough plus he looks better than others. He stands gracious in his clothes and he's smile says "I'm Mr NL, thanks guys"

When it is time for the most brilliant NLer, I will vote Ekwah wink wink wink
RomanceRe: Mr Nairaland June 2013 is AbPatrick! by dammytex: 4:44pm On Jun 21, 2013
Its just like you asking me to vote Bill Gates as Mr America when we have other contestants like Chris Hemsworth just because he's a programmer, he's massively intelligent and he's the founder of Microsoft.

I voted the rightful winner for the right position. Period.
So, Shollypopz, stop making me feel guilty with your write-ups.

And this thing is gradually becoming a three horse race to the finish line...

I like this; a very good competition among the contestants.
This is Mr NL, it must be well competed for.

I actually think this edition is the most contested for since June last year. Even Sexkillz envisages the possibility of a tie.

Keep it coming guys.

If you truly support 2legit, you'll vote Ekwah too but it's all good.

I appreciate your change of vote the other day, Thanks my brother. wink
...looking at the finalists...

If I want a new employee, I'd vote Ekwah

If I want a successor to my business empire, I'd vote Ekwah

If I want a flat-mate, I'd vote Ekwah

If I want a mentor for my children, I'd vote Ekwah

If I want a husband to my daughter, I'd vote Ekwah

But If I want a Mr NL, I will exempt him for personal reasons. I don't even know patrick but he looks more like Mr NL to me.

But then I commend your persuasion skills. Very impressive, What's your line of career?
RomanceRe: Mr Nairaland June 2013 is AbPatrick! by dammytex: 2:48pm On Jun 21, 2013
Nelly does not strike me as a MR NL in no way. He looks like a guy a lot of young girls would admire but congrats for going this far sha.

Xavier; I don't even know what to say. You try sha but you can not be the winner here.

Ekwah; We all know you are a brainee. Contests like this are for a lot of other things aside engineering and top schools. I personally like you sha cos I have a lot of respect for intelligent people... but I will not label you Mr NL because I think you are the most brilliant of them all.

Laylow: You also don't really look like Mr NL to me. Again, most of your pictures look photoshopped and although you have a very fine face, I still prefer a square and rugged looking appearance to your baby face. All babies are fine remember but maintaining beauty with some rugged appearance is more masculine.

Patrick; Since 2 legit decided not to contest, you had been favoured. Congrats!!!
You are my choice.
And I vote you because na only fine pass me for all of them. grin grin grin grin
RomanceRe: Mr Nairaland June 2013 - Elimination Round 2 by dammytex: 2:10pm On Jun 18, 2013
Shollypopz: He will move to the finals, he was second in the first elimination.
Nigerians are fond of voting who we think is more likely to win that who has the most potential to do something impactful with his title. A lot of people voted Jonathan Goodluck because they wanted to join the shoeless-dude ban wagon or they thought no matter what, the PDP guy will surely win.

As much as looks might not be my candidate's strongest point, intelligence is. We have been voting looks since last year, what has looks brought us. I trust you'll make the right decision regardless. Support intelligence and vote Ekwah.

Good points. You have succeeded in winning me over...

Mods, pls update my votes by including "Ekwah" as my 6th nominee.
Thank you.

I'd be endorsing only these five in no particular order:

miccodb
nelly ghenghen
mastroesco
laylow
abpatrick

Shollypopz: My friend, so this how you gon' play your younger sister ehn??

Modify your post to include Ekwah, rmbr a vote for Ekwah is a vote for intelligence and good looks.
The truth is:
Having examined all the contestants properly and with my limited time with NL lately, I think Abpatrick will most likely win based on the pictures presented so far. If your Ekwah escapes this stage, are you sure he'd make the finals. I like his confident looks tho but he looks like a regular office fine boy and not a pageant winner.

It's still a faceless forum remember and its Patrick that looks like Mr NL the most. He even looks a bit like Bryan sef (the former Mr Nigeria).
Maybe Laylow or so might come close sha..

Looking at the 15 cleared candidates, I can not feel the excitement that much abeg.

The crown is being swung in Abpatrick's direction as the only cleared potential candidate.
What happened to all the fine dudes on NL?

Where are these guys: dopejemi, freshdude, Izukwu, Oxone, Lalaosky, Inspired....
And even our albino sexkillz sef fine pass most of these guys.

And why is 2legit not being cleared?
