Paypal has up to: 60 days or even longer sef for charge backs, which can be a problem for the recipient. I asked her to make certain she sends an email to the recipient to cover for chargeback, she went ballistic

It's not about just helping you make payment. Remember if payment is made now and along the line something goes wrong between you and the seller and Paypal would want to refund the money back to the Paypal account that made the payment.
If the person that made the payment for you is no where to be found or refuses to refund you, just know you have entered one chance. So tread with caution when asking people to make payments for you.
