@damsamty you enquired about the driving licence thing, I remembered one of our Germo elders/ogas explaining it in details. According to him, your Naija drivers licence can be switched or modified or something like that for use in Germany at an affordable cost (I guess he mentioned something around 20-30k or thereabout) but getting a fresh one in Germany can be as high as 400k according to him o. I have not confirmed myself, I will contact my people there for further information and I will sure share it with you here.

I also remembered someone asking some time ago if someone can stay and get a job after study. The answer is CAPITAL YES. You are allowed by law to stay one year to look for job. As regards that, Government are even planning to extend it because some graduates (definitely not Nigerians) perceive its not enough and leave for their respective countries. So, as a way to encourage them to stay back, a bill is in the process of being passed to make it ah! 1+6months or 2 years or thereabout, not sure exactly.

@Belly213, am happy for you. You can try Unilag Guest house (Lodge), very affordable and ok and can be less than an hour or thereabout from the embassy. In fact if not for the Lagoon, you could literally walk to the embassy from there. Because the Island is clearly visible from Lagoon front, Unilag where the guest house is located.

Hey bro,we were just 3 that did the opening of account today..I was told you guys were already in when arrived.Am not sure if you see any guy on red top/purple trouser? Na me o.mehn the woman told me my form is quite diffr from the one on their site and I should go reprint.Mehn 1page is 1k ooo and I did 10pages.But with God, I was able to do it and now on my way to cafe to scan and request for my interview date.I pray I get a very good date

seunstein: Embassy isn't open for business today....just left the embassy.....for blocked account opening....was told to come back tomorrow...tho the man took down my details.

I just left the embassy now too..he told me to comeback tomorrow and I am the number 3 on the list.

Eke40seven: @damsamty, am glad that finally your desires have come to pass. Your journey to Germany shall be smooth, I understand the pressure you must have gone through. Since you have somebody at I solo, its better you move from there because getting a hotel near the embassy can be very expensive. However, Isolo is a considerably far, so, leave as early as 6:00 am from I solo or even before in order to beat traffic at the 3rd mainland bridge and other traffic bottlenecks even around Isolo.

Please, did anybody wait more than 2-3 days to get a reply from the embassy for appointment using a sponsor?

I find it very difficult to understand why rhein waal is too slow in processing admission..it's been 8weeks now and no response concerning my letter.I mailed them many times and stil no response,and since lastweek I have been calling them on a daily basis and infact the lady is not friendly atal.She just keep telling me to wait until it gets to my turn hahaha 58818.I am losing hope ooo anyone in thesame shoe with me?

When you call it takes few minutes to connect and it doesn't 'ring' like the conventional Nigerian phone call. You're instantly connected and asked to press 1 or say 'Student Service', Once you say this, you're connected to a representative. When you call have your Application Number ready, as that is what would be demanded of your and used as a reference.

I called twice yesterday and it cost me less than #30 on MTN for 90 seconds while Airtel deducted about #35 for 70 seconds.

I also applied to Rhein waal but I'm yet to receive any mail with regards to the application status. I initially thought it had to do with the extension of application to September 1, but with the news of letters being shared I'm becoming apprehensive.

Please do share the time duration it took from application to admission, also your intending course of study.
