Hello, Guys
I need your help, i installed ubuntu on a laptop with windows Vista, On booting it will display(after the Ubuntu and Ubuntu recovery option) double Windows Vista Option.
I normally boot into my windows environment from the first option, but yesterday i mistakenly selected the second option which is vista recovery and since then the laptop no longer show me the boot option. It nows boots striaght into the recovery option of the Vista with giving me option of booting into Ubuntu or the normal Windows Vista.
The Boot option just vanished
Pls I need your help, What do i do, ? I have tried booting the system in safe mood but still after restart it goes back to same recovery screen.
Expecting replies,

Seun:
What are letters of credit used for? huh
Letters of Credit(Known as LC) is an undertaken from a buyers bank to pay a seller/sellers bank at any trade across national boundaries upon conformation of goods receipt, its generally of 2 types Confirmed and Unconfirmed LC
Rejecting letters of credit means they are rejecting the(our) means of payment used in International trade, Maybe we'll then stop importation and concentrate on Local Production grin

Hello Nairalanders,

I entered UK in 2007 with a 2 years student visa to study (Bsc.) Business Studies, when i came in i discovered that it was not easy to go to school and work, couple with the fact that school fees would not be easy to pay, as £8000 per session. I took a break from the university to work for a while, though i gave them another reason for taking the break. I later discovered another University that allow an instalment payment and do not disturb international students till they finish their programme, then applied for the next admission. I worked for 1 year and later started the university to study Business and Marketing Management (MA) with new university.
The authority caught me for working more than hrs required for student during the term-time in july, they seized my pali and the case is still in court, my programme finish this month and i hope to submit my thesis b/4 d case. I don't know what to do, should i voluntary return home (Naija) as i understand things are difficult there or i should wait for the outcome of the case.

Please i need your help.
If u know what is good for you, Don't Come Back Home, cos if u do, the frustration that will hit you will be 500% more than what you expected, don't believe anything from anybody, kuku stick there, peace and goodluck
ComputersRe: Ubuntu Linux by danexd(m): 2:12am On Aug 30, 2009
Guys am back, This time I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 in my hp compaq Laptop. My Laptop came pre-installed with windows vista and have 3 Primary Partitions. After using perfect disk to defragment the hard disk (160GB), I had like 49GB free space but i could not shrink the hard disk to enable me install Ubuntu. After much searching, (i didn't want to use third party application like Partition Magic like someone suggested) I rebooted the system in safe mode and wow! I was able the shrink the hard disk using Vista Disk Management Application.
Then come the problem of installing, using the Ubuntu CD, I could see the free space(After shrinking i had 20GB unallocated space, I selected 20GB while shrinking) but when i click on use the free space to install Ubuntu, it show me that Ubuntu can only be installed in about 3GB of hard disk. The Vista colour just fills the whole bar of the memory(if u understand what i mean)
I had to read thru this thread from the beginning and thanks to mimoh_mi, his post on the manual partition thing really helped out. I created a root logical partition allocating 16BG of it then use the remaining as swap memory! (you do this in the process of installing Ubuntu)
Finally here we are, and the first thing i noticed is that Ubuntu doesn't play mp3 but i believe i've seen a solution somewhere in the thread so i have to read thru again. but that would be tomorrow, its 2:00am and i've spent the whole day doing this.
Installing on the desktop was very easy cos the hard disk was partitioned into 2, one was still inactive and i used that partition to install Ubuntu
Have to go catch some sleep now, will continue again morrow, Thanking you guys for all the help
Goodnight, sorry Good Morning, Happy Sunday

Honestly before now, I have a lot of respect for Dele Momodu even when he praises the politicians and celebrities; I just believe a man got to make some money. We are all ultimately selfish beings, but seeing his response of 20.08.2009, and the way he reacts to criticism, my respect for him is……, as a journalist I believe he can handle critics’ but I was wrong, I’m disappointed in Dele Momodu

proudly9ja:
This issue hs nothing to do with the General Overseer and should not even generate such reactions.

From reports, RCCG has laws that say that a pastor cannot remarry. Note that this law pre dates even the current GO. Every denomination have their own laws. The pastor knew about this law before he joined the church and efore he remarried. Therefore, in making a choice to remarry, he automatically forfeits his appointment as a pator at RCCG. If he wants to continue 'pastorship' he can start his own church.
Good Talk, Its also a Law for Catholic Priests not to marry at all, if you wish to marry as a priest then join Anglican Church, Laws and Guidelines

What is the bandwidth size?
How many work stations do you have on the network?
What kind of connection are you using? Vsat, Wireless Radio etc
That will give a clear picture of the problem

This is a Simple Illustration that our (imposed) Government is willing to "settle" any group that tends to violence, understand that am not condemning the militants because of the method they are using, The emphasis is that "our" government prefers to settle instead, then sweep the real issue under the carpet, what a shame,

Until we, as Nigerians get up and say enough is enough. Until we realize that we deserve much, much, much more than we are getting, until we get to the point of no return, when we are prepared to die for what we believe in- indeed until we believe in anything other than in our personal comfort- we will continue to be led by our noses, CHXTA,
