PoliticsRe: General Brutalises Innocent Citizen Again by danexd(m): 9:56am On Jan 10, 2010
i am deeply saddened by this news, the worse thing is that i typical Nigerian civilian mind believes that the men in uniform can do anything and go away with it, imagine the statement***Do u know I can kill you and nothing will happen***I must add that it is us the civilians that are giving those men what they do not have. Nigeria is a failed state where anything can happen accepted** but we must make our dignity as human beings also to disappear because Nigeria is a failed state.****it not my business i heard some people saying, lets make it our business cos it can happen to any body in a different way.

Exactly,,,,its typical of Nigerian to always wake up after havoc have taken its troll ****Reminds me of Gov Peter Obi of Anambra state who tried to repair a road only after a tanker have had an accident on the road(due to the roads bad nature) and human lives and property were gutted in the inferno that emerged.
My Take on the Project****Typical Nigerian Government Project = Scam,,, Some people will definitely make millions out of it illegally

LWKMD grin
Honorable Judge Danexd of the NL Supreme Court Ruling
Based on the facts before me,
Becomrich or BecomRich etc still stands the Winner,
Seun cannot disqualify him on those grounds mentioned because the time for that has passed, he would have done that during the selection process.
The other runner ups viz Jakumo and Beaf did not appeal the election, *(stating reasons why they want it cancelled
So it means that the NL electoral body seun inclusive already knew that Becomrich uses multiple ids and violates  the terms and conditions and they still want ahead and cleared him to contest.
Based on the afore mentioned, Becomrich still remains the Winner!
This Decision is final and cannot be appeal

Funny how you are calling for the resignation of Dora whose office has little or no weight in Nigeria's development, but couldnt first call for the resignation of an indisposed, very sick and incompetent president. Ok ooo.

So that you should know, I have always thought that Dora should resign based on moral grounds, otherwise, she could pass for one of the best information ministers Nigeria has ever produced.

I dnt c d reasn y u ppl ar mekin unnecesary arguemnt ova wat we dnt knw abt, u ppl ar sayin bad tins abt odili, uba, ngige n soludo, wat abt u? Wat was your efort so far as a Anambraian? Is quite a pity we dnt knw wat we nid, sum talk hw soludo bankrupt CBN, airn't u steal sumbdy tins? C,no body is pafet evn me,so d best tin is 2 try soludo,i gues,he wil try mor dan previous governors cos Anambra nid 2 b develop, althou,i like ngige vry wel,bt dia is no free n fair election in Anambra state,so lets try dis opportunity( soludo)
What are you talking about? how could you say that Soludo is an opportunity*** opportunity based on what?***if there is something you know, then bring it out and stop strolling around the bush. Chukwuma Charles Soludo have disrespected himself by running for Governor in Anambra state. As an economist and a professor there are other ways he could be more useful to his state and Nigeria as a whole. He should have gone back to school and impact his knowledge and wealth of experience. His governorship ambition has exposed the kind of person he really is, We all need to stress becoming a better people 1st and foremost regardless of our education or training, then we can rule with common sense.**Take a greedy person through law school or medical school, what you get is a greedy doctor and a greedy lawyer.

This is a duplication of a post i already have on a thread and also my take on that thread
by aloy~Emeka which was locked by the admin before i could come in.
Soludo is intelligent, educated and smart no doubt***But I am convinced, you don't need a professional to do a good job in public office.**my take, that Soludo worked well(though i strong smell something yet to come) as CBN Governor does not mean he can perform as a state Governor in Anambra state.
Soludo coming out for the governorship position in Anambra  state at this time is badly timed and ill advised, for me it is an insatiable urge for power
usually possessed by those who have tested it***and a desperate attempt by the PDP to recaputure Anambra state.
It will be unfair for me to call him a thief but i must say that there are so many unanswered questions surrounding his candidacy and the money he
is throwing around.
as al0y emeka rightly quoted before****“By doubting we come to question, and by questioning, we perceive the truth.” (Peter Abelard, 1079-1142)
Lets us then look at his strong opposition which is Ngige****any political minded person heard, knew or saw what happened in Anambra state during
his time but one thing i want to point out was that the man(Ngige) had to make a choice***
1st Choice was to loot Anambra state tresuery, thereby making some people like Chris Uba rich and making himsel richer becuase he is the one in charge of the *money* he will also be working in a condusive environment to the detriment of Anambra State People
2nd Choice***to disobey his God-father, make less money for himself and  work for the *betterment* of Anambra state people

He choose the second option,**and the battle of supremacy in Anambra plotics ensured.
I respect Prof. Charles Soludo but Ngige is my man for Anambra state Governorship, and the people of Anambra state knows it, *vox populi vox Dei*
Let your conscience be the judge,
mikeansy:
Meanwhile be aware that Soludo has neither been finally stopped nor banned because the Supreme Court will set aside Mary Odili's ruling. Courts have no business chosing nor endorsing nor rejecting party political candidates.

Justice Mary Odili should be ashamed of herself. She should spend more time appologising on behalf of her husband for the attrocities they committed instead trying to decide Anambra politics for Anambra people.
Yes Soludo has not been finally stopped,Supreme court might rule in his favourwith the help of his Godfather**abi na Godmother but note that the case was taken to court first by his Party members who were wronged by the selection method used for choosing him as the flag bearer,

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to disregard the candidacy of Chukwuma Soludo of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 2010 Anambra State governorship election.

This followed an application brought by two other aspirants on the platform of the party, Valentine Ozigbo and Victoria Nwankwo. Both asked the court to stop Mr. Soludo from parading himself as the party’s candidate.

Status quo, please

Justice Mary Odili, who gave the order, asked the parties to maintain the status quo ante bellum. Going by the order, none of the candidates should carry out further activities.

Mrs. Odili, while giving the ruling said: “We are not unaware of the essence of time in this appeal, hence the court fixed December 14, 2009 in order for the Peoples Democratic Party to respond to the pending motion so that the matter would progress.”

The national legal adviser of the Party, Olusola Oke, had asked the appellate court to oral application made by the appellants, saying he was not served.

“I am yet to see even the page one of the motion,” he said, praying the court to adjourn the suit to enable the party respond appropriately.

Mr. Oke also asked that the application be thrown out since the appellants did not provide any material evidence to support their prayers.

‘Engine of oppression’

Counsel to Mr. Soludo Patrick Ikwueto argued that granting the application would be the same as granting the order sought in the main appeal.

He said the court should not to be allowed to be used as an “engine of oppression and hardship in stopping a process of democratic governance.”

Counsel to the commission Amaechi Nwaiwu said the commission “is an independent party in this matter and that granting or refusing any application is at the discretion of the court.”

The Soludo Campaign Organisation, however, said the ruling was not likely to affect his candidature.

A statement signed by the director of media and communications for the campaign, Christian Udechukwu, said: “The Supreme Court had ruled in the case of Senator Hosiah Ehinlawo Vs Chief Olusola Oke on Friday, 27th April 2008 that the judiciary should not interfere in how political parties decide their candidates. The Nigerian constitution also protects the rights of individuals to free association and the rights of political parties to elect, nominate and or appoint their candidates for public elections. The rights of PDP flag bearers Soludo/Anosike is guaranteed under the law.”
