When you sturdy the intrigues surrounding Awolowo and Zik then you would know that those days were the days we truly practiced democracy in all its tenets and the country was better for it unlike now where tribal politics and shenanigans is the norm

Bro as an expert in security,I can authoritatively tell you that the police can not adequately tackle this herdsmen menace .
Just like bokoharam,they are armed with more sophisticated weapons and have been extensively trained on how to handle them (videos abound on the net to back this up).
The police are mainly trained on civil matters and so cannot cope in a warlike situation especially a jungle like combat as presented by the current crisis.
Many other factors comes to play and the police are at odds in the face of this crisis.
The IG's presence in the hotspot region would have gone a long way at not only bolstering a sense of safety amongst the natives ,but equally put the officers posted there on high alert and awake to their responsibilities.
So you see where the complaints lies?

If at all he was serious to curb the killings in the first place,he would have sent in the army. But alas he sent in the police and never bothered finding out if they were on ground.

Criticism does not mean you hate a leader but more of a concern and love to make him or her see what he is not doing right and sit up.
