Romance / Re: Women Have Become The Men That They Want To Marry by dangoteinlaw: 6:23am On Apr 08, 2023
atheistandproud:

Please put aside your ego and read to understand.

Women want men that make money, now women are making money, sometimes more than men.

Since we're all claiming to be equal, now that women have money, why are they not marrying men and taking care of them?

That's the question.

Because men do it all the time (mostly) without complaining.
what money are they making or u mean the one they make sleeping with men around in the name of hookup? Why not engage in other risky jobs men do if they claim they want to be equal to men. The mining industry is there, why are female phcn agents only destribute bills but the males one carry ladders around. My take is with the rise in hookup women now feel there’s an option to take money from men without being under them but talk about making money without the men, that’s just a smokescreen.

What experience does fresh out of school graduate have?

You can't call a graduate an engineer until he or she gets certified by Coren

It's like a fresh graduate of Law, claiming to be a lawyer without being called to BAR
if you read my comment properly I mentioned “qualified” so if you think a qualified yet young engineer is in comparison with one quack who has done a tone of juju on his lips to convince you then pray you shouldn’t be at home when that building will crash totally.
Properties / Re: Building Collapses In Mushin, Lagos; Four Confirmed Dead by dangoteinlaw: 5:29pm On Apr 07, 2023
Potential home owners have been inclined to believe that a bricklayer with 20years experience is better to handle their project than a fresh out of school qualified structural engineer.

Business / Re: Why Small Businesses Should Use Facebook Ads by dangoteinlaw: 3:58pm On Apr 07, 2023
There’s a psychology behind advertising or why do you think rolls royce and iPhones don’t do ads or don’t they beed customers too. Firstly, Facebook users are a large base of average earners or poor populations no rich persons spends their time on Facebook. Then again theres a reason ads are short and reveals less. Alot I can’t explain but better to run ads on nairaland with 200k than run a 10k Facebook ad coz u just lost 10k.

Not necessarily fencing, just have something going on there, land to me is like a water, you have to keep water it to safeguard and keep it alive. But generally, I advice people to just buy land in Ogun State, it is growing very fast.
and whatsoever you put on it has to be visible from a quite distant, putting a foundation of low depth won’t mean nothing unless the structure goes a bit high. You must spend 700k bro I know this for a fact because the land opposite my building at oko afo is on sale for 950k and the young guy showing interest needs that amount to put something on ground.

A land about a plot from the road in Oyo currently going for 500k
1 million will get you 2 plots
The better you stop thinking Lagos
The better opportunity you will see in life

Remember, the entire country is still a village when compared to other countries,

Finally,it's not the amount of money you have that make you rich,
Its what you do with what's in your hand that actually makes you rich
forget the motivational talks any money in your position better hold on to it tight. I know more than 13 businesses that started last year abd folded up this year coz they couldn’t renew rent. Am not talking hearsay, infact business with physical location is fast becoming a thing of the past.

There is hardly anything of value you can buy with 1m now, but you can buy a plot of land around Lagos outskirt or Ogun State if you are in the West. Forget about it for sometime, and watch the value rise.

But make sure it is situated around a place with potential for development in the nearest future. And visit the place and cut the grass from time to time, fence it if possible, just make sure you have something going on there.
and where will you get 700k to fence it after purchasing for at least 900k for a half plot?

No apologies. Call me anytime and I will say the same thing again.
There are dozens of people begging and probably poor here on Nairaland. When are you going to correct them to stop displaying or exposing their poverty?
You know you can build your resume as a correction officer (nairaland whip) starting from “the beggars , then work yourself up to braggers “
wow, i really can’t imagine that an adult will be talking like this. How much do you really think you ve made in life to even refer to others as poor. Na wa ooo

I was taught never to beg a rich person for money, but to instead show them how useful I could be to them.

You will get the money you wanted form such a person and much more.

I agree however that is if the client is keen on giving you the job and trust your competency however a client with 6 quotes on ground looking at getting 10 quotes to arrive his decision will be a total waste of time and resource for you. Even if you eventually win the bid it won’t be tangible.

We all know this job comes rarely no matter how good you are so the goal is to get a job that will be worth ones time and effort however these are what clients fail to understand most times. I am speaking from an artisan perspective because a professional engineer understands the sacrifices to win a bid but the cost is all included to the operational sum howe for an artisan that makes not much profit but just to get by the day it is only fair that you at least show appreciation that he honored your call which it migh be that he had to abandon another job he might currently be on just to make it to your site.

Roofing carpentary. Once I got 120k, 150k and 550k and the 550k guy was the one who had done all the carpentary from foundation but because I had done roofing for a bigger project I knew his 550k was way out of line.

I went with the 150k ended up paying 200k cos of variation but he is now my go to construction carpenter (kansho).
I don’t know but if i were you I would sit the 550k own down and get to know what he’s offering then bargain it down to 300k. Out of 10 carpenters not up to 3 actually know what they are doing. Alot of building collapse are as a result of shobby form works by ogogoro capenters.

Bro you just stated that it is a crowded compound shouldn’t your initiative tell you that alot of them would be scared of dogs or whenever you walk the dog on the roads don’t 2 out of 3bget scared even when the dog might be an infant! Compounds that allow dogs are usually not more than 4 tenants. Get rid of the dog or move out bro. Why would u even take a compound without a parking space, even if you don’t have a car yet you will be telling God indirectly that you don’t need the blessing.
