Nonsense, northerners understand governance more than igbos bla bla bla...
You people don't understand nothing, the north has ruled this country for more than 40 years with nothing to show for it.see the mess this country is now, under your Fulani president this country has become the worst under his regime if you don't know,
*poverty capital
*Fulani herdsmen terrorist everywhere, killing and taking people's farm lands and he even sponsored them with rugs scam.
And lots more.
You think leadership or even presidency is all about getting positions and shouting 'sai baba' how about provision of
amenities and good living system, real governments outside Nigeria see Nigeria as a laughing stock.
And even at that if not for the rigging of your fula man on sit and his Co riggers,he would be out of there by now.
There is no position that a notherner has occupied in this country that a southerner has not occupied. And if you check, they mostly perform worse!

1. Looking at buhari knowing fully well he's very old incapable of leading over 200million people and its economy still went ahead to vote him(a northern don't understand economy or governance the only thing he understand is the teaching of islam and sharia)

2. Bokoharam(western education is evil)

3. Iswa

4. Al Qaeda

5. Fulani herdsmen

6. Millions of uneducated almajiri under age voters who's numbers of course counts in elections to help vote in clueless leaders that always takes nigeria 20years backwards
So these are the factors hindering the development of Abia?
For your information noqtherners (even the illiterate ones) understand governance more than any Igbo man.
see what happened when Igbos were senate president and pdp chairman. complete disaster.
Seeing the way you guys rallied behind an international criminal in the last elections, i rather allow an almajiri elect my leader for me

my brother, what they are telling u is the truth. As an enlightened person from the north, you should start rallying and engaging your fellow enlightened youths from the north on how to tackle some pressing issues in the north like:

1.) Religious extremism - Yorubas also have Muslims but they are not toxic and destructive like northern Muslims, learn from the Yorubas, nobody is above learning

2.) Almajiri system should be redesigned to meet today needs and standard. The students at Almajiri schools should be taught science, computer appreciation, welding, engineering, etc that will position them to become useful citizens and not dependent beggars

3.) Initiate talks to encourage your senators and political elites to allow state Policing for effective security of lives and properties all over Nigeria.

4.) How to harness the good resources in the north to make northern states sufficient and not dependent on crude oil that make the northern political elites reject every effort for restructuring of NIGERIA for the good of all Nigerians.

And other areas too.

While Igbos, Yorubas and other regions too work on their flaws.

Nigeria of today as it is is not working at all. We are only deceiving ourselves brother. Let's think like civilised youths who want the best for Nigeria and Africa.
Northerners know their problems and we also know its severity ( if you are current, you will know that some states are abolishing begging). Your advice should be directed at those who see their problems as a way of life despite the bad reputation it is earning us.

Our leaders do not support Boko haram neither do we support terrorism. It is an unfortunate thing that has befallen us and despite your joy that we are the victims, we will overcome. I will nt talk about your religion.

Which Igbo begged? What Igbos were concerned about was the fraud. The same Arewa youths who were issuing quit notice were the same people who met with the then Governor of Borno state, Shettima' to cancel the same quit notice and announce their love of 'one Nigeria'

issuing quit notice with one side of the mouth and shouting 'one Nigeria' with the other side.

Southern Nigeria does not need Northern Nigeria, but Northern Nigeria needs Southern Nigeria like Fish needs water. Southern Nigeria will even do much better without the North
Haba mallam. No need to argue this. I personally felt ashamed when Igbo chiefs dressed in full traditional regalia went to beg El Rufai. Even after they were told to disregard the quit notice.
North needs the south west because of access to the sea. We were alright without oil from the Niger delta and will still be. Now tell me why we need the south east? nothing!
The igbos on the other hand are traders, they need the market that the north presents. The north however do not need them as the are just the competition. If igbo trader leave, hausa traders will simply expand their business.
Where will the igbo traders go?

Why are you hiding behind one finger? Which person in Nigeria doesn't know Igbos want Biafra? Isn't it why you claimed you will never vote an Igbo president? Why are you here and there at the same time?

Why did Nigeria fight a civil war?

Your forefathers has been trying to master the ART of selling gala and spare parts for years....but up till today they couldn't

Its not about selling gala and spare parts

Its about selling gala-adding soft drinks-selling spare parts-manufactring spare parts- assembling cars

Continues growth....its an art...you don't learn it by waiting on governments 5 thousand naira monthly payment

You learn the art by suffering, emotional, mental and physical torture....

LEARNING TRADE IS AN ART...

OUR PAIN IS THAT

WE BUY GALA TO SELL WE PAY TAX, SELLING IT WE BUY TICKET(TAX)

IMPORTING SPARE PARTS TO SELL WE PAY MORE TAX

WE MANUFACTURE AND IMPORT WE PAY EVEN MORE TAX....SOMETIMES THE GOVERNMENT SEIZE THOSE THOSE CONTIANERS OF SPARE PARTS...THEN ASK US TO PAY FOR IT TO BE RELEASED AND AFTER PAYMENT WE WON'T SEE ANYTHING

WE WILL GO THROUGH MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL STRESS...GO BACK TO OUR VILLAGE RE STRATEGISE AND BOUNCE BACK AGAIN TO HUSTLE......SAME SPARE PARTS WILL BE TAKEN TO NORTH SOLD TO A NORTHERN SO HE CAN SELL AND MASTER THE ART OF TRADE....YET HE WON'T SURVIVE HIS FIRST 3MONTHS

WE UPGRADE TO ASSEMBLING CARS WE PAY AN EVEN HIGHER TAX...

AND THE END OF THE DAY LION SHARE OF THE VAT GOES TO NORTH
Before your fore fathers knew how to cover their unclothedness, northeners were already traveling to the middle east on camels to trade. I can authoritatively tell you that there are more northern business men than there are Igbos traders. Thats why till date, all high paying businesses are dominated by northerners.

look at the GDP of Nigerian states in 2010

See how 8 out of the last 10 are northern states.

Now look at the revenue allocation from FG

See how 5 out of the last 10 are southern states?

We in the south produce the lion share of the money and you in the north take the lion share of the money..

But what do we get from you,

1. Terrorism
2. Wicked military and police in our states
3. Threats of genocide if we don't calm down
4. Diseases
5. Poverty
6. Over population
7. Refusal to share power
when you say the south produces the money, you should specify the south south which makes every other region in Nigeria a liability to them. Hw does over population in the north affect you? its just like a Hausa man saying baby factories in the south affects him. All other things you listed are problems specific to the north and can be found in every part of the country. Check out the number of police men or personnel that have killed people extra judiciously, 90% of them are not northerners.
let me tell you what is a liability to the country.
Internet fraud
Drug dealing
International prostitution.
crossing the Sahara to be enslaved in Europe.
Northerners are not part of these issues.

But why igbos? why why?
you will hardly see the owners of the oil which everyone is benefiting from make this kind of post. you will never see Yorubas who have an excellent and cohesive political system and a large economy make this kind of post. It is the Igbos who inhabit a tiny landlocked area with no mineral resources that are the ones talking about break up.
If people anybody should be talking about breaking up the country, it shouldn't be the people who have nothing to offer. Anyone can sell gala or spare parts.

PoliticsRe: Rape Threat: Bello El-Rufai To Sue Samuel Ogundipe by DanHaske: 6:38pm On Apr 14, 2020
Lari03r:
A man typed:"I heard your mother...", and then added, "I might/will pass her to my friends."

First analysis of his statement shows conjecture with no threat of caring out any actual sexual act. The intention was to annoy the recipient of the message. But everyone has rushed to conclude that he alluded to rape.

A man says he will pass a woman he has never met before to his friends, and people began to castigate him as prone to gang rape.

The question is, do people have multiple sexual partners or orgies where one woman will be the subject of attention while several men take turns with her? Yes.

So, what caused the outcry? The tribal jibe added to the insult.

It may be of interest to note an exchange on Twitter, a state from the region in which the tribe that suffered ethnic background vilification was the subject of a thread on Twitter.

In this state, women complained about the mother's in law being the deciders of their sons marital choice. A woman from this tribe was said to have encountered a man from the state in question, and he told her that he enjoyed her making sounds or vocalizing her pleasure in her native tongue. He said this turns him on.

https://mobile.twitter.com/CrystabelKelsey/status/1249411693937078275

It was from this statement that several likes arose from the hilariousness of the tweet and idiosyncratic disposition of the reported character, entitled to his own choice of sexual experience.

So, one can safely conclude that the man in the eye of the storm read this story on Twitter, which has algorithms configured to send interesting and viral content to the attention of every user, as some sort of social engineering to keep its audience glued to the site.

I believe that was where the notion of sounds in a certain language was first mentioned, before it was transformed into an insult.

It is this tribal prejudice people are attacking and not the contents of his words, because if you read his words you will realize he started with: "I heard...".

I have stated this earlier and I believe with the background of the events preceding the altercation between the two fellows explained, one can begin to understand how this became premium entertainment and engagement for everyone interested in this unfortunate period of isolation.

From his words you cannot prove that he alluded to rape or forced sex. What he said may be regarded as derogatory but it can never be proven to mean rape.

Follow the words and intent.

You are not making sense...

You are constructing a scenario which applies to you exclusively .

In the court of law and indeed in the mileu of rationality, you construct will situate with you while the connotation will be the basis of metteing the requisite punishment to you.

You should do well to save your gunpowder such that you can let the court into the workings and obtainabilities of debauchery and prostitution when the time comes.

A threat to gang-rape will elicit a serious punitive action in a sane society...
Same way the accuser constructed a scenario of rape which applied exclusively to him. Speaking grammar without making any point will not get you anywhere. I believe you are a lawyer, with my degree in mathematics, I will beat you in any court of law.

In my opinion The contextual inference is gang-,rape . Period.

It is like making seditious statements. The law will look beyond the capacity to carry out the threat and consider the short and long term ramifications as well as the avoidance setting a dangerous prevedence.
Rape means having sex with a woman against her will or consent.
There is nothing in the tweet that suggests having sex with a woman against her will. People have sex with prostitutes and pass them to their friends. It is a usual thing for women to make sounds during sex and a customer can dictate the kind of sound he wants of doesn't want to hear.

What is gang-rape?

It is a rape act committed by a group of people who are joined by one thing or the other especially friendship.

The statement: "I will pass your mother to my friends" cannot have another meaning apart from molestation.

Why didnt he allude to the father?

Why did he choose the mother? What is the connection?

Let us take it a notch higher. If he has made a statement like: " I will pass your sister to my friends. I dont want to hear Igbo sounds".

Would you in all rationality and objectivity be asking whether rape was the intendment?

The whole world is not populated by neanderthals so dont think you hoodwink people with senseless logic.
so with this your explanation, you have proved that to pass a woman around means to gang rape her?
