Proof you will come back? The time you had your interview, when the VO asked you if you were planning to return after your studies, did you "express yourself better" by telling him/her that your plan is to work after studies?
Una go do something, come dey talk of the opposite later. A German VO asks you difficult questions. From the Mayor of the city you live in to the population of people in that city. Even after preparing for the Interview, some people go still blow am. You wan come dey use am compare country when be say your Letter of Explanation can do the trick (although not in all cases).
Both Canada and Germany are not easy. I don't agree with someone saying a country like Germany is far greater than Canada with whatever they have listed. Canada isn't a piece of cake either. And remember, another man food na another man poison. Some people dey run from Germany enter Canada because of opportunities. A 2 year degree in Canada automatically qualifies you for a 3 year PGWP and then later on to PR processing. The max you get with Germany after studies is 18 months. Though there are jobs but with the refugee invasion as of late - you'll have to hang in there.

1) My friend didn't write IELTS before she gain admission. Most schools has it that if English is ur official language in ur home country, you don't need to document English language proficiency (which Nigeria is)

2) Lolzzz..... This is utter rubbish! You don't need to learn German language to gain admission or be granted study visa when ur program is being taught in English. Some BSc program are taught entirely in English while most MSc programs are tutored in English. GET UR FACTS WRITE

3) No one should be surprised.. How many countries in the world offers free and quality education at all levels to every human being on planet earth. You don't pay application fee sef. Only Norway and Germany offers absolute free education to everyone.... Canada doesn't even offer free education to her own citizens. With a good and passionate SOP, averagely good grades, applying to so many schools as possible. Ur admission is near certainty.

4) Oga German study visa is relatively easier to obtain. With genuine documents. To me the interview system offers one an interactive opportunity to better explain ur intentions. Some people are more articulate in verbal explanation. If ur documents are genuine, you respond well to the questions and fulfill the visa requirements ur visa is certain. Nothing like "home tie in country of residence and Canada" and people get denied because of these.. Smh... Many of my friends tried to no avial to obtain Canadian study visa but as I type a handful of them are in Deutschland now studying and working.. Making madt cash.

5) It is actually €8000(annual living expenses) If you get admission the embassy will open a German block account for you to fund it with the said amount. No hassle to be running helter skelter looking for sponsors.. They said money is still ur cash. You can even borrow it and when u get to Germany u can be remitting back bit by bit.. No need to provide bank statement and all the bla bla sponsors documents. Just open an account. Fund it with €8000 and that's all.

Read well Mr. There's nowhere I wrote that, they aren't great engineering schools in Canada.. I didn't even state one is better than the other in engineering discipline. Canadian economy is not as robust, innovative and efficient as the German economy. Germany has a more innovative, diverse, technology savvy, stronger economy than Canada #Fact
Canada has been in recession for sometime now where as Germany has been one of the best performing economy in the world for sometime now. #fact



I like Canada. Two of my siblings are studying there as I write . It is a beautiful country with world class education system and universities. But Germany provides a viable alternative to Canada

You cannot be "near native level" within a year.
This is only possible if you've got nothing to be busy with (studies, work etc) and learn it the whole time. Studies in Germany is time consuming and demanding. It's hectic. It's hard for you to study in Germany and want to attend those classes with the hope of grasping it in a year.

It's almost IMPOSSIBLE.

I concur with you bro.... However, Germany arguably has the best integration mechanism in the world.. They offer free German language lessons to all immigrants(not only refugees) . So if anyone is serious about integration, within a year the person's German language ability should be near native level

True. I mentioned the need to learn German (for integration) in my first post on this. But it stands that you don't need to learn German beforehand to get into an international masters program. Also, remember that not all Nigerians can afford Canada. That is the audience I'm writing to. You, however, seem to be dogmatic (yes. I used it again) about dismissing Germany.

It appears your range of vocab at insulting people doesn't exceed dogmatic and some other word you just came up with.
Now, I'll respond to your confused response.

1. IELTS isn't a biggie but I don't doubt you'll get a 6 at writing because of the way you construct a Sentence. IELTS is compromised of four sections, and you're evaluated on these 4. Which is Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading. You could be good at Speaking which isn't much of a big deal and be totally poor at Writing and Reading... and given the fact that we are Non-native English speakers; Nigerians stumble when it comes to Writing and Reading.
2. So upon completion of your International Program, you do not plan to work? Do you know that Germans are way comfortable using their own language in terms of business compared to the English language ? How do you expect to cope in Germany without German?
3. That's not true. Canada is easier compared to Germany. Canada accepts WAEC, Germany doesn't. Germany only accepts you for a Bachelors degree if you've had an extra year higher educational studies after your SSCE. For Masters, they do accept your 16 years education. Admission takes months for Germany because of the huge applications their profs have to go through every year. Just think of it, education is good and its free, who doesn't want to apply ? Now the Canadian fees tend to chase people away from wanting to apply.
4. Capital YES. If you don't know sh1t, don't say it. Trust me, do NOT. It's hard. And to talk of the german thread, I'm there as well.
5. That's not all you need for a year to cover living expenses, Son. That's an investment you must MAKE. It's UNCONDITIONAL. You could go to Canada without paying a dime towards admission whereas the opposite is the case when it comes to Germany.

And lastly, you don't seem to understand SARCASM. Not that I blame you, I just expected more from what I've seen on the thread here. When a word is in quotes, it's mimicking the double fingers.

5. Yes you need 8040 Euros, and that's ALL you need for a year to cover living expenses cos tuition is free. (Unlike Canada where you may need at least $25,000 CAD, which is equivalent to 17000Euros).

You just made my point. While Canada is excellent, it is not the only country in the world that offers great opportunities for Nigerian students. Germany is excellent as well.

Also, nobody said there aren't great engineering schools in Canada. We all know that. The fact of the matter is that Germany also has great schools.

PS: My bro almost went to Germany so I am intimately aware of the process. He got his Canada TRV two weeks before his Germany student visa appointment (we ran the processes in parallel).

1. You need IELTS just as Canada
2. You need to learn the language to a certain level.
3. There is a huge competition because of the free education system. Lots and lots of people apply and you need concrete application documents (strong SOP etc).
4. The VISA is hard to acquire at the Embassy. They even have an Interview System
5. You need to even have about 2million naira to deposit to your German account before Visa acquisition.
And who told you there aren't "great" Engineering schools in Canada and that the economy isn't "Robust"?

Regardless of whatever reasons you've listed and that you're going to list, it's easier for you to Integrate in the Canadian society than the German's. Trust me, it's not even safe in some cities in Germany.

This is not a problem at all. To make things more believable for you, I personally know someone who currently studies at Seneca and he used his Uncle as his sponsor. This Uncle is a US resident. If it worked for him, I do not doubt it will work for you.
Yours is even more concrete. Your UG and PG course matches. The sponsor has sponsored you on trips before.

My bit is that the IOS run doesn't support whatever he is trying to do. A lot of things doesn't work on IOS versions < 15 these days.

You can go with ever approach you'd prefer but almost everyone takes the TSHOOT last as it tests you on both the Routing and Switching technologies. I prefer ROUTE - SWITCH and then onto T-SHOOT and since you just finished CCNA, I'd consider you take the ROUTE first as you'll find it very welcoming. MS certs ? I really don't know. I think you should go for whatever you want to.

True. If I remember correctly, at the time of my exam, I had a lab that almost broke my back. I spent like 10 mins on the LAB and all other questions was just like surfing. It was ACL too. Block one protocol and allow the other stuff.

i posted here a couple of weeks ago that my exam was schedule by first week of this month, well after i emulated someone here i made sure i did without dumbs and completed todd lamle 4 times and other materials, and ofc labbing, i had 789 out of 1000, i failed. Seriously the exam was more easier than it seems and i was able to finish within 1hr 15min, and i was so sure of passing until the computer calculated my score, psst alas i failed. i was devastated, 93k down the drain. well i realised my mistake was from the labbing, especially access-list. I registered again by now the price has gone up to 113k because of dollar rate, and as God would do it, my second to the last question was the same Lab i failed in my first attempt, and i got it right this time. I passed with a score of 941. Alhamdulilah. Next is CCNP Insha Allah

I do not know if this question has been answered but if you're able to traceroute your local host 127.0.0.1 and are not able to ping other addresses on your LAN, even when you're connected to the Internet on both devices on the same LAN, then the issue is with your IP address assignation. It's not really an issue but you have to manually set your IP addresses and not configure them by DHCP. Manually configure your IP address, gateway and DNS server.. and it should work just fine. This has happened to me a number of times and setting the IP addresses manually worked for me. Give it a shot.

traceroute is used for Linux/UNIX based devices aka Apple (Mac), Ubuntu, Red Hat, Android, etc.

Since you are on a Windows device, can you type 'ipconfig /all' you should see a default gateway.

ipconfig /all should do you good but try this if it doesn't work. This automatically resets the dhcp ip and requests for a new one from the server - ipconfig /release. Give it a shot, I suppose this will work on a hosted lab environment

Yes, it's possible. But my advice is - start shooting companies your CV once you acquire your NA cert. You never know. CCNP is a bit more practical so I think you should check what's out there first. You can always work and study for your CCNP. That is even better.
