Really ? Seriously ? You're planning to apply for Masters in Public Health and also for Masters in Biomedicine and you want someone to send you the LOM at your email address. Did you mistakenly submit the post or you were half asleep when you sent it? Why study for Masters if you need help with such document at this level of education ?? I bet you'll need help with your thesis too.
PHRANTAD:
Gud mrng great people, can someone get me motivation letter for Masters in Public health n the one for Masters in Biomedicine. I wud appreciate it to be sent to me @ franmalae at yahoo dot com

If you're shipping them from the US, that is a bit pricy then. You're more like giving them out. One could get these gears off eBay for about 50-70$. 150 for those is a lot.

Thanks though

I will be shipping them from the US. where are you. prices are based on where i will ship them to

For Networking, you need more than just books bro
GrAnDwEeZ:
don't even know wah u talking of. I read only books. I'll google em up and download. Thanks
Career / Re: Cisco STUDY GROUP (online) by DanIndia(m): 1:56pm On Oct 22, 2015
@ptoall, it's a L3 switch ba. I don't think you'll need to configure it as a trunk.

And like TechSupport has mentioned - TEST TEST TEST.
@Techsupport, what gears are you planning to get rid of ?
Techsupport:

Hi
this is what you do and you wont have the headache that i have experienced many times.
1. do you want the wireless network to be on a different subnet, if so just plug the wireless AP to any of the access ports and cross your finger and hope that the AP will give your devices a suitable IP range.

2. If you want to design it properly where the wireless device can talk to the rest of the network as well as be able to print, then log into the AP and disable the DHCP scope on it ( It is turned on by default)

3. DONOT connect the cable from the switch to the internet port on the AP. Connect it to the LAN/ethernet port

4. Verify that your switchport is in access mode ( assuming that you want to pass only the native Vlan)

5. Test Test Test.

6. Then feel free to take your laptop to the toilet and comment on this post while you take a dump.

No it's not for VPN. NAT is Network Address Translation. If not for NAT, the IPv4 address range would have been exhausted years ago.. and as funny as it is sounds, everyone on planet earth uses NAT. I bet you're using it now, too. It's just a way of translating your unroutable private address at home to a routable IP address that can be routed on the Internet.
ptoall1000:
What is nating used for? Is it for vpn connection?

Hello there Macfortune,

Of course, it will. This is one of the main reasons why I decided to start this thread. But for someone who is new to the Networking World, I'd recommend you to first learn a little about networking and user devices. How they work, types of connections etc. All these you can find on YouTube. If you need help finding links, please comment back.

Thanks for stopping by.
Macfortune:

Dear Sir,
I'm a novice in networking and wish to learn, I'm asking if your plan will benefit a novice like me...
Waiting for your Reply... Thanks.

The tuition fee in Italy isn't free. It's about 3300 euros every year. If you are selected for a scholarship then you may consider it free. The good thing in Italy is that, there are scholarships rolled out based on your Merits and Family Income. Just do some google search

As I landed Munich, na so my guy come pick me. He has been helpful ever since men. It was at the airport I got my semester ticket electronically, just with my matric number, bought at 152 euros, (the one that comes with my student card only covers from 6 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening and throughout the weekends.
Here in Munich, almost everyone either speaks or understand English even if not so fluent or so much, just speak slowly and make your accent less African as possible.
The weather is very great, I love it, may be because people talked so much about how cold it was and I was anticipating such, but Munich at around 6 degrees yesterday, I didn't feel so much cold, no winter jackets worn, just a light wool sweater with a hood, capiche! May be the North could be colder though but this is the kind of weather I love. My friend wey don tey here just dey shake like a provoked tolo tolo with thicker cloths though.
I finalised my insurance with AOK same day, unblocked my DB account, picked up my student card with the MVV at TUM, met another Nigerian with a fake and very poor "British" accent. E no too form again as accommodation and cold suffering don dilute him pride, he is in Power engr.

Munich is a nice and organised place, no single traffic, no Lagos rush rush, the people may be quiet but nice and courteous and willing to help. Everyone goes about their business, no one will really look surprised because you are black or turn a head. Only a few with occasional courtuous nods.
This na just one day observation o... As I Waka Waka the city no be small.
It's been a great journey so far, I thank God sha and my guy here have been great too. The cold dey sweet my body, make I go sleep back, to enter and start school self never dey hungry me, I still have some travelling to do....

If you're looking to bring clippers because of the price of a haircut then there a lot of things you'll need to bring along with you. Understand that you're leaving your home country. The weather, culture, expenses will change accordingly. Don't worry, one day when you travel out of the country and have stayed for a number of years and you manage to come back and see this post - I promise you, you'll laugh cheesy

Toby77,

It's true those hungry immigration officers are now disturbing first time travelers (this has been going on for years but worse this time around). However, keep in mind that the BTA thingy is not real. Had someone came in from Nigeria a few days ago. She missed her flight because of those immigration people. They didn't allow her to board because she had a one way ticket and she had to pay about 20k to reschedule and I'm not sure I heard her story right but I believe she even paid the officers and some fellow there at the Airport. If you're a first time traveler traveling via that Airport - they will want to suck you with all sort of gibberish.
Toby77:

Do those immigration officers ask especially if they realize you are a first time traveler for BTA. Obviously it's not needed if you are travelling on a student visa but corruption has made it something else. Am just asking if guys who left for germany recently on study were accosted by those hungry immigration guys on BTA? and if Yes, how did they deal with it?

PGD in which country ? I've never heard of PGD in Italy. Abd for PGD, you need a bachelors degree
baba11:

....then such person will do PGD first
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by DanIndia(m): 2:09pm On Oct 11, 2015
You're right. Entrance requirements does vary from one school to the other. However, prerequites for masters studies are not be compared with language requirements. From other schengen visa applicants that I've seen. HND was not considered eligible for masters studies. Again, check with the concerned school.
baba11:

I don't know but what I know is that the entrance requirements of each school differs...

E.g I thought all schools in Australia require TOEFL or ielts until Griffith university rep told me otherwise cool
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by DanIndia(m): 1:04pm On Oct 11, 2015
So you mean there are schools that accept HND in Italy ? Please list the names
baba11:

It depends on the school you're planning to go.

I'm not so sure about that.
Soyedele1:
Just a quick question. Does Italian schools accept HND?
Career / Re: Cisco STUDY GROUP (online) by DanIndia(m): 9:13pm On Oct 10, 2015
That being said, I'd not advise you to dump an exam. It's starting to devalue the certificates. I know a few recruiters and interviewers who've mentioned a few CCNA certified candidates couldn't state why STP needs to be implemented in a production environment, in an interview. Study to know networking. It is only then you'll be classified a Network Admin.

ptoall1000:

Are u studying just to pass exam or to know networking. If it is for exam u can use dumps and Todd Lammle text book. To know networking you may have to attend a more practical session, even if it is for a week in Lagos or any other city.

Yes, presentation will cost something. Even if BigBlueButton is a free app, you still need a device to take your writings and put them on a screen, right? That's where the expenses come in.

And I'll answer your question from my own experience. I've never used fiber connections for trunk ports between switches. The closest I've gone to that is using a GIGABIT Ethernet Port but these days are being replaced with Fiber switch ports. And no, it's not the normal way of splicing cable for other purposes.
ptoall1000:

Presentation will cost you anything. I use BigBluebutton in my office. It is a free open source app that you can use to present, collaborate, teach etc. It has pen and eraser and all the teaching tools.
i am also studyng for CISCO voice, but currently we use IP PBX.
I have a question with vlan, i notice some people use fibre optics for trunk ports. Is it the normal way of splicing the cable for other purposes or the Fibre cable has a different splicing for trunking between switches?
Career / Re: Cisco STUDY GROUP (online) by DanIndia(m): 8:30am On Oct 10, 2015
HAha presentation ? That is some money bro. That way I have to use some USB device to write with. I did plan to buy one a couple months ago. Maybe now is a good time to get it as one would definitely need it someday. It's not a matter of how many people I have. It depends on the people who show up on the thread and then I add them and send them a link to join the hangout.

SIP panasonic phones ? That's cool. I don't use any live gears but the last time I played with Voice concepts, I used softphones. When you talk PBX, you're going the Voice track route. Fortunately, that's where I'm headed too but I haven't started studying for those. However, vlan is not a problem at all. How about you do something ? Whatever you need help with, maybe a question or you have issues at work regarding something - just post it here. Believe me, someone will definitely answer your question and put you through whatever you need help with
ptoall1000:

I'm ever ready. Can you do presentation as in use pen and eraser in Google hangout? If so it is good. How many people do you have already in ur google hangout?. I currently manage a collection of SIP Panasonic phones in my office running on IP PBX and also manage a network of many vlans. So I need to have a good grasp of these technologies.
