Why won't they verify ? This is Canada we're talking about. Even a third-world country would verify your admission letter. Some schools send a copy to the Embassy email address when e-mailing you your admission letter (European countries do this). It's more like an Internal process and not something they'll write in BOLD but they do. SegunWamiri: |
This should be OK. You've already applied. Keep the positive spirit and hope for the best. jamal411: |
Yes, they verify admission letters. 100%. hildarela: |
Which form are you filling ? IMM1294? moufpeas: |
Why so ? July is a long time from now and anything could happen before then. And your deposit isn't much actually. 1000 CAD, correct ? Some people had to pay their first year fees (if not in full, half). How it will affect your visa application ? They'll withdraw your application letter. What you have now is more or less a conditional admission letter. Withdrawal of an application letter means no basis for a student visa application. emma4eva: |
That is good to hear, man. All I'm saying is what could have worked for your younger ones may not work for someone else. And, I'm guessing the last time any of your younger ones applied was last year. These people change officers annually and sometimes some officers remain. So there is a chance whoever worked on your relative's application may have left. The rate of denials on this thread as of recent is not encouraging. And seeing that, one wouldn't want to take any chances. My recommendation is to attach whatever an applicant deems fit as per relevance to their application. Haustraliah: |
Hahaha, he's pretty sure. You've got everything you need to walk in to their embassy and throw your passport at their faces and yell at them "Stick that visa on my passport". haha na joke o. However, I, hayqins or any other Nairalander, are not in anyway the right persons to tell you whether or not your application will be approved. That's totally left to whoever is going to be evaluating your application. That being said, you're a Ph.D applicant, and with what I've read - you have up to about a 90% success rate at bagging that visa. MEEHAR: |
One thing I like to think of is this, you can never be too old to study. And, approval of visas are solely at the officer's discretion, not some fellow on NL. What we do here is share opinions. And you never know until you try. If your intentions are genuine, please put it up. Even if you end up being denied, you'd know you tried at least. If you want to, please go ahead. Add your sewing program certificate and some other hands-on experience letters that you can find. Even pictures of stuff you've done wouldn't hurt. And give Italy a thought too. They have good schools for Fashion courses as well as Scholarships. stephike1: |
With just admission letter, account and ordinary sponsorship letter? When was this ? Were you working then ? A lot of things have changed since you last applied. They have different officers that handle applications. What works for one may not work for another. Either ways, it is no harm attaching any documents you might find relevant pertaining to your application. It's better for them to find it even when they don't need it than to need it and not find it. Since it is not an interview process where you can tender documents at the officer's request, I recommend to add whatever documents you think is relevant because that's what's going to stand in front of the officer and not you. Haustraliah: |
I don't think it's OK nor do I think it's not. That would be a personal decision. You know what your plan is, you can decide to come clean on your intentions. You know what they say "Honesty is the best policy". I believe there are folks who've stated in their application that they have plans of working after studies and must have not been denied based on that. The VOs know that you won't go to a country like Canada for studies and return immediately upon completion. Noone does that. If you won't work for the money, you'll work for the international experience. In fact, the VO expect that from a Study Applicant. In your case, you're planning to study further. That would do no harm to them as you're pumping money into their economy and not competing in their labour market. GrandCommander: |
I don't see a reason for you to be restless. You've just submitted. All you gotta do now is chillax, be positive and start looking for cheap flights. Keep up the spirit, bro. SLEEMYDRIZ: |
OK. Are you currently working ? Could you get a study leave letter indicating that your company is OK with you leaving for the period of your studies ? Do you still have your job offer letter ? A reference letter, maybe? Pay stubs/Bank statement showing the monthly income from work ? And introduction letter too from your work place also indicating the period of time you've been working with them and how OK are they with you pursuing further studies. It wouldn't hurt from them to hype a bit about the kind of asset you'd be to the company upon acquiring whatever qualifications you've applied for. tolumuntari: |
Which of the visas are you applying for ? Visit, Work or Study ? It's only then one can advise on what documents you'd need to include for application. You'd need more letters for Work permit that you would for study. tolumuntari: |
You were supposed to quote the OP, not me. And SCAN, PRINT and NOTARIZATION won't really cut it, I believe. I'd recommend a photocopy as when you scan and print a document, you actually degrade the quality of the letter (I'm speaking in terms of resolution and clarity). The best option is just do a photocopy. Anyone can notarize any document. abestine: |
Haha e don tay when I hear BIRO last o. No, you won't have to download, fill with BIRO and scan. Just download the new ADOBE PDF reader and you can key in the details, validate and save the file, then upload online. Hope this helps. o2: |
Original copy ? I sincerely doubt that. Apart from the Bank Account Statement and the CIC documents, the other documents need not be original. Keep in mind that documents once submitted may/will not be returned back, except in cases where they send all your documents back because it is incomplete. So if you submit your offer letter and do not get it back, what are you going to show as proof of job offer? Just make a photocopy and apply with that. That's what everyone does. laamilaaka: |
I hope you're not talking about an "expert" as a visa agent because you cannot crack a Canadian visa with that. They verify to the last bit. One of the reasons why the application takes long. I'm not assuming this is your case - just letting you know how it is. Esther2016: |
You're not getting anything wrong. You may be having issues understanding the steps. Did you finally any sort of questionnaire too ? intrepid: |
I'm sorry to hear this, loriaidah, and I'm glad you'll be tackling the reasons. However, I'd like for you to sit and go through each and every of your documents and see in what way you can convince the VO that you'll be returning. 1 - Travel history. They use this many times as a reason for denial but it truly isn't, is your passport a virgin passport ? They trust applicants that have traveled and returned more than those that haven't. This isn't a basis for any applicant to be turned down though. 2 - Are you married ? If not, do you have a rental agreement that you could attach to your application ? Did you declare all your siblings on the family form ? This won't contribute much but you never know and tbh, you've got nothing to lose by attaching anything you find useful enough for the VO to be convinced. And if you're married, please and please attach a copy of your marriage certificate plus pictures too. This is mandatory for verification. 3 - Do you have a long study gap ? If you do, could you elaborate on this as to why you decided to wait so-so long to the VO, in a letter of explanation? This could range from you decided to get married to having a child, or work for sometime for hands-on experience.. the list goes on. loriaidah: |
You need to send them the description of your previous degree. Your syllabus for each years. lionlee216: |
Hey bro, Please forgive me for responding late. Are you done submitting ? I'm pretty sure haygins must have helped review your LOE. All the best TheDreamChaser: |
Next year July? That's a long time from now. Don't bother yourself with renewing a passport that's not expiring in the next 6 months not to talk of a whole 1 year+. There's something called a TRV renewal. You do that in Canada after you renew your passport. In some countries, you cannot renew your passport if it doesn't expire in less than 6 months. Opoki: |
No, it's not only for Canadian Citizens. A TRV holder in Canada can also do the same for you, I believe. I do know about someone though and this offer was from like 5 years back, he'll do it for you for free only if you agree to buy your parents a gift or take them out for dinner. Such a generous offer and yes, he did it for many people. The best bet is for you to ask that same person to try again, the first page itself has three options and it's possible they may have selected the Canadian Citizen option. Jackson755: |
Austria, I do not know so much but I don't doubt their process will be similar as German. They are a German-speaking country too. 40manlappy: |
Alright, bro. Have a good day and make yourself more regular on the thread. Lot of folks need people like you here. princey83: |
Oh well then. You're right! I get what you're saying now. I totally do ![]() princey83: |
OK. So are you trying to say Graduates of 2 year degrees do not quality for PGWP ? To be honest, your friend's situation is the first I've seen to be given a 1 year PGWP. He must have been given these for one of two reasons. 1. The duration of his program wasn't long. Probably less than 2 years (or) 2. His passport is set to expire in a year as the CIC doesn't award permits with validity exceeding the validity of your passport. Brother, stop misrepresenting information. I gave you an example of a 2 year degree. Listed are Associates, Bachelors and Masters but you decided to ponder on Masters. Let me quote my initial post here just so you understand. CHOO!!! "DanIndia: A 2 year degree in Canada automatically qualifies you for a 3 year PGWP and then later on to PR processing. The max you get with Germany after studies is 18 months. Though there are jobs but with the refugee invasion as of late - you'll have to hang in there." princey83: |
A masters degree is mostly referred to as a 2 years degree because of the 2 year study duration. However, it is not the only 2 year degree out there. Some UNIs also offer Associates degree and Bachelors Degree as 2 years degree each. Schools that offer such masters degree are UoT, Ryerson, UBC etc. These are the ones I can think off of my head right now. Oh, I may have been wrong about NAIT. I have never heard of that Polytechnic before. It's possible for them to offer degree programs but most Colleges/Polytechnics that I've seen offering degrees are joint with other universities. You attend classes at the premises for some days and some at the main campus and some online too. princey83: |
I don't think so. The dashing out part was a figurative speech. princey83: |
NAIT is a polytechnic and do not offer degree programs. They only offer diplomas My comment clearly states a 2 year degree and not a diploma. I'll quote it here again "A 2 year degree in Canada automatically qualifies you for a 3 year PGWP" princey83: |
No, not really. You do NOT need to learn the language before you can be granted but you do need to know the language to cope in Germany. You do not need to be thoroughly fluent, you just need enough to get you by. estherdim: |
Please urgent... gurus in the house please come in. Thanks.
