Sly - Spill it, Chicken

Hmmmm - I see someone is recounting stories from shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked I won't talk sha.

@ lucbrazi - I went to school in Osun then in Lagos. I went to one of the baddest schools in Lagos though.
EducationRe: What Was Your Secondary School Like? by danity: 3:22am On Mar 27, 2008
@ lucabrasi,
I was completely naive. Now that I look back - that was a shame. I just watched things and looked at them in a good way. Never actually got anything till I got to SS2. Then my eyes were open. It was then that I began to watch in quiet speculation. Now that I'm in Uni - I realize all I was seeing was not half as bad as I thought it was.

You and Sly should spill it. It's not like y'all are still in Secondary School. What do you have to fear? CHICKENS! smiley

The weather has nothing to do with pollution. The pollution is horrible - i know.
You guys are killing me here. Nigerians are the most pessimistic people I've ever come across.
The thing is that we need to find a channel in which we could view our country in better ways.
If you know how blessed we are nature-wise, you wouldn't be this pessimistic about nature.
We have no hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones and other natural disasters.
After experiencing 2 hurricanes. I'd rather be caught in a flood than a hurricane.

Human achievements?
We have intelligent minds in that country. Wole Soyinka and them are making us proud every minute.
Some Nigerians abroad are very influential.
We are the envy of other Africans because we have managed to exert ourselves as a force to reckon with in Africa.
We haven't had a major civil wars in 40 years. We might have religious conflicts but when you look at countries like Sudan and Kenya - you thank God for Nigeria.
With the way Britain screwed us up, I'm surprised we are not totally in the trenches by now.

@ Sly - Roads are our fault and so is drainage. I stay in a place with crazy humidity and trust me, we are blessed with good weather in Nigeria. Whether you like it or not, you can find something good about Nigeria.
No one is dismissing my argument! At least not yet. smiley smiley smiley

EducationRe: What Was Your Secondary School Like? by danity: 2:50am On Mar 27, 2008
Secondary school was amazing! I loved it.
It was so much fun because I was a brilliant spectator.
I was the kind of girl who watched others do something but never engaged in it.

However, there are a lot of parts that I'd like to have amnesia about. I'm not spilling them on this thread. NO WAY!
Secondary school though is the ish!

There are good things about naija. It's just that most of them have a "but". If we know how to curb these, we'll be fine.

I didn't attack Nigerians. . . . .i was only being factual!!!!

Even if i was asked in an exam that would get me a 1.1 degree. . .
I will fail the paper because i seriously do not have anything good to say about Nigeria.
This is so sad. Not one thing? When last did you go to Naija?

@ Tegese, Nigeria is very rich - resource-wise. It's a sad thing we don't know how to utilize these resources. We're also blessed with brilliant and intelligent mind but it's a sad thing as well that all they do is put it to bad use.
CrimeRe: Disgrace from Nigeria by danity: 2:22am On Mar 27, 2008
@ Tegese, I hate it when Nigerians attack themselves. It's very annoying and I love Nigeria so much. I don't know why anyone else would hate it.

Now I know what the matter is - you're jealous of my name!
Sly, is there something you have to confess to Danity?
Just because your name didn't say you were good in bed, doesn't mean I'll think otherwise. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

@ Chacal,
Debosky is a good gaynner sometimes.
It's good to know that he's not a total jerk.

It's realistic and healthy for him to come out and talk about his team like this
They all know that Wengay is messing up their team.

Man Utd will not falter!!!!!!!!! We've been in Arses' shadow all season and finally it's our time to snap up the trophy. Every weapon fashioned against us will not prosper either cheesy

T : You are one of the best in bed.

See Debosky is not all that bad. smiley
Yeah we know we CAN still lose with so many games to go.
However, we also know that we are NOT going to lose.

Man U wants this so bad and I don't see them being as careless as Arsenal was.

I don't think you've had kids yet which is why you're complaining.

@ Cassiel,
I was considering it.
Apparently Chacal thinks it's better for naija girls to shave their heads than to have weaves.
I was going to do an experiment but now I changed my mind because I love my long weave on cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Loyika is in intensive care.
He's trying recuperate from the Chelski Knock-out.
I would have tried to soothe debosky but that's the past now cry

@ Chacal,
On the Contrary, it's longer, sexier and I'm not shaving it off anymore.
I love having long hair - fake or not
I got it last Saturday and I've been getting more attention, lol!

I want him back in the game against Arses. Maybe he can frustrate Adebayor and co.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by danity: 7:20pm On Mar 26, 2008
I know.
I'm only trying to be as objective as possible.
Mascherano had it out for him though.
He was bent on disrespecting the ref which is why I hate Benitez's statment.
As if Man U doesn't respect football either.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by danity: 7:15pm On Mar 26, 2008
When will these people learn their lesson?
Yes I agree that the send-off of Mascherano was a bit too harsh but did Benitez have to say this?

"At Liverpool, we respect the game; we respect the rules and we respect the referee and it is important to remember that Mascherano was the first Liverpool player to be sent off in the league this season."
Source: http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1778_3351342,00.html

Mascherano sure had a problem showing his respect for the ref. He's facing an extended ban though.
It'd be real interesting but I really want him to come back so that he can just help Torres and others deal with Arsenal.
RomanceRe: A Serious Man by danity: 9:16am On Mar 26, 2008
Girl - you will never know when a man really wants to settle down unless he starts mentioning his future with you.
If a man doesn't see himself having children with you, he's not ready to settle down with you.
If you mention marriage and he avoids it, he's not ready to settle down.

Then again - Guys will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get in your pants. You just have to trust that the right man is somewhere waiting to settle down with you. I'll never think a man is serious about settling down until he proposes, meets my parents, and opens up to me completely without any form of inhibition.
