PoliticsPresident Tinubu Will Lead Us To Nigeria Of Our Dreams – Wike by Dannupawa(op): 6:03pm On Jun 05, 2025
President Tinubu Will Lead Us To Nigeria Of Our dreams – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, says the country needs leaders like President Bola Tinubu to achieve the “Nigeria of our dreams.”

Wike said this in his 2025 Distinguished Personality Lecture, titled, “The Nigeria of our Dreams” presented at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on Thursday.

Wike pointed out that the greatest challenge confronting Nigeria and militating against its development was the plague of bad leadership.

He agreed with Chinua Achebe, whose seminar, ‘The Trouble with Nigeria’, graphically captured the challenge, when he stated that ‘the trouble with Nigeria is fairly and squarely the absence of proper leadership’.

“This statement, damaging as it may appear, is extremely difficult to controvert.

“Our leaders have, in the main, emerged through self-serving conspiracies that have little or nothing to do with national interests and development.

“This has been the case in both military and civilian contexts,” he said.

He, however, said that Tinubu had stood out as the leader the people need to drive Nigeria to progress and prosperity.

He explained that Nigeria needs a leader that was prepared to lead with sound character and resilience in the face of challenges.

He added that the leader must also be a person who believes in the infinite possibilities that the Nigerian nation exemplifies, while taking solid, proactive, logical and well-informed decisions that would maximally actualise her potential.

This leader, he said, must have the courage and audacity to act, build, innovate and generally expand the frontiers of development with a hands-on approach that would emphasise excellence over mediocrity.

He added that more importantly, the leader of Nigerians’ dream must create a society of free and responsible citizens whose potentials flow freely and free enterprise thrives.

“Let me make bold at this juncture to state that today, in our country, we have such a leader in the person of Tinubu.

“He has shown in several ways and at different times, a stout commitment to the enthronement of democracy in our country, to the extent of even putting his own life on the line in the process.

“He has shown great capacity for engendering development as captured in the unprecedented rapid and exponential development of Lagos state under his watch and even beyond,” he added.

He also said that Tinubu has demonstrated a rare courage by removing fuel subsidy on his first day, upon being sworn in as President.

According to him, leaders before him all spoke about the evil of fuel subsidy, but none had the courage to dare the blackmail of removing it.

“Tinubu did and is fittingly grappling with the inevitable, unintended and sometimes orchestrated consequences of this removal.

“Today, our states have far more resources to develop, the debts are no longer piling and the price of petrol is gradually but steadily adjusting downwards in tandem with the forces of demand and supply and the strict implementation of regulatory conditionalities.

“Also, the overwhelming cry of over-centralisation of power and resources at the national level and the attendant abuse of the doctrine of federalism is being systematically addressed.

“This is being addressed through the creation of zonal/regional commissions empowered to devolve developmental impetus to the respective zones and regions, so that power can truly return to the people.”

On security, Wike said that the situation was being addressed through proper funding and the training and retraining of security forces.

The minister added that Tinubu’s approval for the recruitment of forest guards across the country to take charge of the nation’s forests, bandits and terrorists would no longer find incubation points and free territories to operate.

“Put simply, the era of banditry and terrorism would soon come to an end.

“These and many other policies and measures are being put together by Tinubu to reposition our country on the path of progress and development,” Wike said.

Earlier, Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun, described Wike as a straightforward politician, adding that his wealth of political experience and leadership style was exemplary.

Represented by the Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi, the governor said that the minister’s infrastructural transformation in the FCT was visionary.

Also, the Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Adebayo Bamire, said that the theme of the lecture, ‘’Nigeria of our Dream” was timely and thought-provoking.

“At a critical juncture when our nation’s democratic journey, when the challenges of governance, civic trust, and equitable development are at the forefront of public discourse, this lecture offers a vital platform for reflection, engagement and forward thinking.

“It calls us to interrogate the structures that uphold democracy, the principles that guide responsible governance, citizenship and the strategies that can unlock Nigeria’s development potential,” he said.

The Royal Father of the Day, Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, said he has deep respect for Wike because of his fearlessness.

He described the minister as an “upright politician” who “said things as they are.

“Hate him; like him – what will be will be.”

Politics2nd Annivesary Commemoration: Fct Minister Inspects Ongoing Projects by Dannupawa(op): 3:22pm On Apr 24, 2025
Ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second anniversary commemoration FCT Minister Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike inspected some key projects earmarked for commissioning on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

The projects inspected are Julius Berger Plc's extensive renovation of the International Conference Centre (ICC), the China Geoengineering Corporation (CGC) 's construction of the access road from Ring Road 1 (Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway) by N16 to Katampe District and the bridge linking Maitama and Katampe districts.

Addressing newsmen after the inspection, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work. He however, raised concerns regarding the subcontracting of the furnishing of the main Conference hall to a separate entity, deeming this arrangement as unacceptable.

He said, “We were at the International Conference Centre, and the work is going on as expected. The only problem we identified this afternoon has to do with the furniture that will be in the conference hall and I was surprised to hear that there is a different contractor for that, which is unacceptable to us”.

Barrister Wike said he has summoned representatives of Julius Berger, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), and the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Abuja Investment Company, to clarify the matter.

“The job was given to Julius Berger entirely. I cannot have different qualities. You cannot say the upper part is furnished by Julius Berger and the lower part is furnished by another company. It’s not acceptable to me”, the Minister said.

He further stated that, “The quality of work, generally, by Julius Berger is very fine. The issue is how they reassigned the furnishing of the conference hall to another company, and that’s why I summoned the acting Executive Secretary and the GMD of the Abuja Investment Company to come and tell us who did that and, on whose approval, because I approved and I know the amount of money. So, when they say Abuja Investment is the one, who is going to pay for it? Of course, I’m not going to accept that. And of course, you know, if anything shady went on, you will hear that I have applied the big stick. Nobody will be a sacred cow.”

Speaking on the observed progress on the Arterial Road N16 project, the Minister expressed his satisfaction with the quality of work being delivered by CGC. He noted the continuous work being carried out, even at night, based on security reports, and expressed confidence that the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe to commemorate the President’s second-year anniversary.

He commended the company and assured residents of the administration’s commitment to timely completion.

The Minister said: “I’m happy with what the company, CGC, is doing. From the security reports, even when you come here at night, they are working. I believe by the grace of God, they will meet up with the timeline for the second-year anniversary of Mr. President.

“I’m happy with the quality job they have done. I’m sure those who are living within this neighborhood are happy with what they are seeing now. So, I congratulate them, and I assure them on our part, we will do what we can to make sure the job is completed on schedule.”

PoliticsMinister Inspects Kabusa/ketti And Kabusa/takushara Road Construction Projects by Dannupawa(op): 4:35am On Apr 20, 2025
- PROMISES INAUGURATION BY MAY

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, on Saturday, 19th April 2025, conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing construction of two vital road networks in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

The roads inspected were the 10.5-kilometer Kabusa/Ketti road, which connects Kabusa, Pyakasa, and Ketti Districts, and the 9.8-kilometer Kabusa/Takushara road, which links Kabusa, Takushara, and Wasa Districts.

Speaking with journalists during the inspection, the Minister reiterated the administration's commitment to extending development beyond the city center to the satellite towns, echoing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's consistent directive.

"We've been to Ketti and the road from Kabusa to Takushara. The emphasis Mr. President has always made is that we should not only concentrate in the cities. We should take development to the satellite towns. You can see how happy the residents were in Ketti in particular, which is a heavily populated area".

The Minister also acknowledged the crucial role of the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Maikalangu, in bringing the urgent need for these road projects to the attention of the FCT Administration and commended the Chairman for his efforts. He said, "I want to commend the Chairman of AMAC who drew our attention to these two very important roads. But for him, probably we may not have taken our attention to this place."

Expressing satisfaction with the progress made by the contractors, the Minister expressed optimism that both roads would be inaugurated by the end of May, coinciding with President Tinubu’s second-year anniversary. He said, "I’m happy with what the contractors are doing and hopefully, by the end of May, these two roads will be inaugurated as part of the second year anniversary of Mr. President. So, we are very happy with what we have seen."

Regarding the potential impact that the road projects will have on rural-urban migration, the Minister explained that the improved connectivity would make it unnecessary for people to relocate to the city. He said the short travel time to the city, facilitated by the road network, is expected to encourage people to build homes in the areas, offering a more affordable alternative to city living and fostering economic growth in the communities.

"With this road being done, you don’t need to say let us go and stay in the city. From here to the city is not up to 10 minutes, and that’s what road network brings. It will open up the entire place. You will see people will like to come and build houses here instead of staying in the city that appears to be more expensive.

“I’m sure that most people will be looking out on how they can have a plot of land in these areas where they can develop so that they will stop paying rent in the city. So, this road will open up the two communities as well as the economy of the place", he said.

The Minister also reaffirmed a previous pledge to build schools in the area, stating that this plan remains a priority, pending the passage of the 2025 statutory budget. "I remember that when we came here to flag off these projects, I promised them that I will build schools, which is still on my table, and I’m waiting for the passage of the 2025 statutory budget for us to commence. So, I think we are happy, and I know the people are happy," he said.

Responding to a request for road construction within the Federal Housing Estate in Lugbe, the Minister clarified that the responsibility for infrastructure within the estate lies with the Federal Housing Authority. He said the focus of the FCT Administration was on developing roads that connect districts and satellite towns, rather than internal estate roads.

"The estate belongs to the Federal Housing Authority. They should be able to take care of their estate. The roads we should do are roads that will open up the entire city... We have told the Federal Housing estate that that land was allocated to them, and they built the estate and sold to residents. Let us open up the areas that link up to the major cities and the satellite towns before we begin to talk about building roads within estates," the Minister explained.

The Minister also used the opportunity to extend Easter greetings to all FCT residents, echoing the President's call for unity and collaboration among Nigerians. He assured residents of the administration's commitment to fulfilling its promises.

He said, “Just like what Mr. President has always preached, Nigerians should be united, Nigerians should work together for the interest of Nigerians. So, I use this particular period to wish everybody Happy Easter and be assured that the promises we have made, by the grace of God, we are going to keep them".

PoliticsFct Land Reforms To Combat Speculation, Accelerate Development…wike by Dannupawa(op): 5:25pm On Apr 16, 2025
The FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has said that the significant reforms in land administration in the FCT are aimed at combating land speculation and accelerating the development of the nation’s capital.

Speaking with journalists shortly after a routine inspection of key infrastructure projects in the Abuja city centre on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Barr. Wike clarified that the reforms are designed to discourage individuals from holding onto land allocations for speculative purposes, often waiting for market appreciation before selling. He stressed the importance of timely development and payment to ensure the efficient allocation and utilization of land resources.

According to him, “We are trying to stop land speculators. Somebody who says he wants land in Abuja but cannot develop it in two years …that’s land speculation. Secondly, if you have been given allocation, you should be able to pay within 21 days to have your C of O. What is wrong with that? That’s also to generate funds for the government.”

Addressing concerns regarding the 21-day deadline for the payment of associated fees for the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy, Barr. Wike questioned, “Why would you not pay your fees within 21 days? What is wrong with it? There is nothing wrong. You cannot apply for land and then you don’t have money to pay for the C of O. It doesn’t make sense. 21 days is enough.”

He also asserted that the FCT Minister possesses the authority to implement these reforms without the need for additional enabling legislation.

Speaking on his observation of all the projects sites he visited, the FCT Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the projects, including the 15-kilometer Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) connecting Apo and Wasa Districts, the Mabushi Bus Terminal, and the Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way) and its interchanges linking Jahi to the Kubwa/Zuba expressway and Jabi/Utako Districts.

He said, “The one from Apo to Wasa, you can see that the CGC is doing a very good job. By the grace of God that will be ready by May. The one to Kubwa that is the interchange which is being carried out by Gilmor, they have also assured us that that also will be ready”.

At the Mabushi Bus Terminal, the Minister emphasized the importance of quality finishing and directed the Secretary of Transport, Dr Elechi Chinedum to ensure all necessary corrections are made.

“By and large, I think we are on schedule. We are happy with what we are seeing, but the finishing of structures like this (the bus terminal) is key and I pointed out some of the things I felt should be corrected,” he concluded.

The Minister indicated that these projects are expected to be commissioned in May to commemorate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second year anniversary.

PoliticsFct Minister Introduces Sweeping Reforms In Fct Land Administration by Dannupawa(op): 9:27pm On Apr 11, 2025
- ALLOTTEE MUST PAY STIPULATED FEES WITHIN 21 DAYS TO OWN R of O

- ALLOTTEE MUST DEVELOP ALLOCATED LAND WITHIN TWO YEARS, etc

-

To foster sustainable urban development, boost investor confidence, and ensure that property owners in the FCT have secure and legally recognized land titles, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, has approved key reforms in land administration in the FCT, effective Monday, April 21, 2025.

The Director, Land Administration, FCTA, Chijioke Nwankwoeze made this revelation during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, April 11, 2025.

The reforms According to him, encompass critical aspects of land administration in the FCT, including the conditions for granting Statutory Rights of Occupancy, the content of these titles and Letters of Acceptance, the titling of Mass Housing and the regularization of land documents issued by Area Councils.

Explaining the reforms, the Director of Land revealed that a strict and non-extendable payment deadline of 21 days has been introduced for land allottees to make full payment of all prescribed bills, fees, rents and charges for statutory rights of occupancy. Additionally, a duly completed Letter of Acceptance and evidence of payment must be submitted within this timeframe, failing which the offer shall be withdrawn. Any payments made after the 21-day period, he said, will be considered invalid.

Additionally, a defined timeframe of two years has also been introduced for allottees to develop their land in the FCT, commencing from the date of the Statutory Right of Occupancy. The move, the Director said, is aimed at addressing revenue delays for the FCTA, encouraging infrastructure development and reducing land speculation and racketeering in the FCT among others.

On the regularisation of Area Council Land Documents, the Director, said Allottees with successfully vetted and confirmed Area Council land documents will be granted 60 days to make full payment of all prescribed bills, fees, rents, and charges to receive statutory titles, in line with the provision of the law. Failure to comply within this period will render the offers invalid, he said.

The Director recalled that the FCT Administration, in a bid to ensure that all land allocated by the FCT Area Councils are regularized, as provided by the law, directed the Zonal Land, Planning and Survey offices of the six Area Councils to submit all Area Council allocation lists, layout, files and registers to the Abuja Geographic Information System (AGIS)/Lands Department which was done by the Area Councils.

According to him, while the FCT Area Councils submitted 261,914 land documents for regularization between 2006 and 2023, only a mere 3.2% amounting to 8,287 were vetted, with just 2,358 regularized.

On the issuance of titles to mass housing projects and sectional interests, the Director said holders and occupiers of properties within Mass Housing Estates in the FCT will now have a clear pathway to obtain their titles. He said subscribers and Developers are required to submit applications for titling to the Department of Land Administration for processing, commencing on April 21, 2025.

According to him, “In recognition of the urgent need to issue titles to the beneficiaries of Mass Housing and Sectional Interests, all applications for titling are to be made by the Subscribers/Developers to the Department of Land Administration for processing. Processing of titles for Mass Housing and Sectional Interests shall commence on April 21, 2025, in line with the new operational framework”.

He expressed confidence that these significant reforms will streamline processes, enhance revenue generation, curb land speculation, and ensure timely development of allocated lands, as well as provide titles to beneficiaries of Mass Housing schemes and regularise Area Council land allocations.

PoliticsWike To Invite President Tinubu To Commission Projects In Area Councils by Dannupawa(op): 9:16pm On Apr 05, 2025
The FCT Minister, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has announced his intention to request President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presence in the FCT Area Councils to commission completed infrastructure projects during the celebration of the President’s second year in office.

Barr. Wike disclosed this while addressing journalists shortly after a routine inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects, slated for commissioning in May to commemorate President Tinubu’s second-year anniversary, across Gwagwalada, Kwali, and Bwari Area Councils of the FCT on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

He expressed optimism that the President's visit to the FCT Area Councils will strengthen ties with the people at the grassroos level, adding that they will also have the opportunity to see their President in person.

The Minister said, “We are going to work that out, at least he (Mr. President) should be able to go to one of the Area Councils and let the people see that yes, this is their President, not just commissioning roads in the cities.

“We will plead that he visits at least one or two Area Councils so that the people will be happy that yes, this is their President. We can assure you that he will at least go to Gwagwalada, go to Kwali or Bwari where we have the Law School. We are going to make sure that Mr. President comes to identify with his people”, the Minister stressed.

Barr. Wike recalled President Tinubu’s earlier directive to prioritize the development of satellite towns to decongest the Abuja city center. He emphasized that the President is very keen on developing the satellite towns, thereby reducing travel time for residents commuting to the city.

“Mr. President is very keen on developing the satellite towns and with this, how many minutes will you have to drive to the city? …He did direct that while we are working in the cities, we should also emphasize the development of the satellite towns,” the Minister said.

On his assessment of the project sites visited, the FCT Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work observed at various project sites, including the 10km Agoma Palace/Market/Park roads and other internal roads in Gwagwalada Area Council, the 15km A2 to Pai road in Kwali Area Council, as well as the War College/Army Checkpoint and other ancillary roads within the Bwari Area Council.

He described the projects as good-quality jobs executed by good-quality contractors, adding that the administration is keeping to standard, providing quality infrastructure that will make the people happy and turn around the economies of the areas concerned.

The Minister said “We have gone round to three satellite towns in three Area Councils. Look at the A2 to Pai, look at the one in Gwagwalada and Ushafa, you can attest that these are quality jobs done by quality contractors. So, we are happy that we are keeping to standard and that’s what is important, not just giving out infrastructure but quality infrastructure that will make the people happy and turn around the economies of these areas.”

He commended the contractors for their commitment to delivering quality work and assured them of adequate funding to ensure timely project completion.

PoliticsFct Minister Confident Of Timely Completion Of Projects Ahead Of May 29 by Dannupawa(op): 6:29pm On Mar 27, 2025
The Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) today conducted an extensive inspection of ongoing projects across the FCT, all slated for commissioning in May to commemorate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second anniversary in office.

The inspection covered the rehabilitation of the International Conference Centre (ICC), the development of Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way) and its interchanges, and the Arterial Road N16 and access roads to the Judges Quarters in Katampe District. The Minister expressed profound satisfaction with the progress and quality of work observed across all sites.

He conveyed confidence in the timely completion of the ICC rehabilitation by Julius Berger, anticipating its re-opening by May. The FCT Minister also emphasized the economic significance of the ICC’s rehabilitation, outlining plans for its sustainable operation and management.

Adressing the previous state of disrepair, the Minister stressed the commitment to a robust maintenance contract with Julius Berger post-rehabilitation, ensuring the facility’s long-term upkeep and economic viability.

He said, “What we're trying to do now is that it's no longer going to be business as usual. You know what happened the last time that it was given out to one Senator who was making money and tried to destroy that edifice. When we finish the rehabilitation, we are going to have a maintenance contract with Julius Berger where we will pay them and they will be maintaining the place".

Similarly, the FCT Minister noted the positive progress on the Arterial Road N20 interchanges being undertaken by Gilmor, and the connecting roads to the Judges Quarters in Katampe by CGC, expecting their inauguration during the anniversary period.

Additionally, he announced the planned commissioning of satellite town road projects in Kwali, Gwagwalada, and Bwari Area Councils.

He acknowledged the support of President Tinubu, emphasizing that the Presidents encouragement drove developments in the FCT. The Minister said, “ Indeed I am very happy and I thank Mr. President for the support given to us and the encouragement for us to achieve this. It's not easy”.

The Minister addressed funding concerns for the ongoing projects, confirming the utilization of the 2024 budget and the submission of the 2025 budget to the National Assembly which will ensure continued financial support for these initiatives.

"I have sent our 2025 budget as approved by the FCT Executive Committee and we will know by today or tomorrow if Mr President will have transmitted our 2025 budget to the National Assembly. Already the 2024 budget will expire in June and so the funds we have for these projects in 2024 are still being used and by the time the 2025 budget is passed we know that we won’t have problems of funding", the Minister explained.

He assured that the FCT Administration is prepared to address any potential challenges to ensure the projects' successful completion and inauguration.

PoliticsRamadan: Fct Minister Distributes Food Items To Less Privileged by Dannupawa(op): 5:52pm On Mar 24, 2025
In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, on Monday, March 24, 2025 distributed food items to less privileged members of the Muslim community across the six Area Councils of the FCT.

This initiative, according to the Minister, aligns with the FCT Administration's longstanding tradition of providing welfare support to indigent residents, particularly during festive periods.

Representing the Minister at the symbolic distribution ceremony held in Gwagwalada Area Council, the Chief of Staff to the Minister, Hon. Chidi Amadi, emphasized the profound religious significance of Ramadan as a period of fasting, prayer, and charity.

He stated that the FCT Administration deemed it crucial to demonstrate solidarity with the Muslim faithful, including various religious associations and welfare groups, by allocating over 10,000 bags of rice for distribution.

The Minister urged the recipients, comprising mosques and welfare associations from all six Area Councils, to ensure equitable distribution of the food items to those most in need within their communities. “As we distribute these items today, we urge you to please try as much as possible to identify our brothers, our sisters amongst you that truly are in need and ensure that they partake in this gift that the Hon. Minister so willingly provided on behalf of the FCT Administration,” he said.

The Minister also enjoined corporate and non-governmental organizations within the FCT to emulate this gesture by extending support to the needy during the Ramadan season.

The Imam of the Mosque at the Minister’s official Life Camp residence, Imam Lawal Mustapha in his remarks expressed gratitude to Barr. PoliticsWike Reiterates Zero Tolerance For Incompetent Contractors by Dannupawa(op): 7:33am On Feb 15, 2025
...Expresses Confidence in Timely Completion of Key Infrastructure Projects

1. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has reiterated the government's zero-tolerance policy for contractors who cannot effectively execute projects within the FCT.

2. The Minister made the statement while addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday, February 14, 2024, shortly after a routine inspection of several critical infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and driving the economic development of the Territory.

3. The projects inspected include the ongoing construction of the 15-kilometer left side service carriageway of the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) from Ring Road 1 (Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway) to Wasa junction as well as the one service carriageway of the Inner Southern Expressway (INEX) from Ring Road III (RRIII) to Ring Road IV (RRIV), with 15-span bridge in the Idu Industrial Area.

4. While acknowledging that the previous administration initiated the projects which have been underway for some time, the Minister praised the contractors' performance and capabilities, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver high-quality work.

5. The Minister stated that previously encountered issues delaying the projects, including issues of compensation and resettlement of communities along the OSEX left hand service carriageway, as well as securing approval from the Ministry of Works for the INEX to cross over the rail line at Idu have been addressed, paving the way for construction to proceed without further hindrance.

6. He said the contractors executing the projects have significantly mobilized to the project sites, following the resolution of the issues and were also committed to completing the projects and handing them over by May this year.

7. According to the Minister, “The one of Apo (The 15 kilometer left hand service carriageway of the OSEX from RR1 to Wasa junction), the contractor, CGC has said that they will speed up work to complete it by May. What took time has to do with compensation issues and resettlement of the communities on the road corridor. But now that that has been done, they have mobilized seriously”.

8. Speaking further on the INEX, he said “The contractor has also said that they are working very hard to see that they handover by the end of May. Looking at the bridge, you can see it's serious work. What delayed was the approval from the Ministry of Transportation to, you know, cross the rail line. But now that the approval has come, we believe that more work will be done”.

3. Barr. Wike said, of the amount, over N50b was for the development of Gwagwalada Area Council, which includes the renovation of Paikon Kore Ibwa road, the reconstruction of the Aguma palace road, renovation of 5 secondary schools and the building of two police divisions.

4. The Minister expressed President Tinubu’s commitment to the development of not only the city but the satellite towns and has directed him to provide for the people of the Area Councils whatever they need. He added that Mr. President believes that governance is about seeking the peoples buy-in in every project that is for their well being.

5. He said, “For this road, the President has committed N8.5b. If you are asking what the President has done for the people of Gwagwalada Area Council, put it on record now. In Aguma Palace road, Mr President has committed N22b and that road will be commissioned in May this year. As I speak to you, we are renovating five secondary schools in Gwagwalada. One is the school for the Gifted. Two, Government Secondary School Gwagwalada. Three, GSS Anagada. Four, GSS Tugan Maje. Five, GSS Giri. For these, N16.5b.

6. “I have not calculated the two police divisions that we are building in Gwagwalada as we speak now, in order to enhance the security of this area. If you add the total value of what the President has committed to Gwagwalada alone, you are talking about over N50b, for one area council. If you now add the six area councils taking that Gwagwalada is the least, you will see that in a year, the President has committed to the development of satellite towns, not less than N300b.

7. “It is important for people to have this record because, you see people will go out and say they are only developing the city, nothing is happening in the Area Councils”.

CrimeTax Reform: Northern Group Applauds Governors On Successful Negotiations by Dannupawa(op): 11:34am On Jan 18, 2025
Growth and Development of Northern Nigeria (GDNN), a Civil Society Organization,
says the maturity with which Nigeria Governor's Forum collectively engaged the Presidential Tax Reforms Committee, leading to a mutually positive outcome, is worthy of commendation.

This is contained in a statement by
Malam Haruna Buhari,
Acting Secretary (Public Policy Advocacy Unit of the GDNN), on Saturday in Abuja.

While congratulating them for the positions taken, the assured the Nigerian Governor’s Forum that the GDNN is with them on this and will continue to stand by them on the need by the Federal Government to soften down on this subject.

"Indeed it is not the scaling up of rates that will enhance the efficiency of the revenue inflow but lowering these rates, at this very difficult time, and developing User-Friendly platforms that make the payment processes easier and less cumbersome that will drive growth in overall revenue inflow into the treasury. We call on all Nigerians to support and stand by the position taken by our Governors under it’s leadership of Governor H. E. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor", the group said.

On the cease fire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, GDNN says it joins millions of peace seeking people of the world in congratulating both the Palestinians, in particular the Hamas and the Israelis for achieving successful cease fire negotiations by Wednesday January 15, 2025 led by the State of Qatar after over a year of engagement in lethal hostilities.

"What was agreed to yesterday that was negotiated under a month or so did confirm that the October 7, 2023 War started was unnecessary and that no amount of use of war machinery or deployment of superior fire power can give the stronger side advantage over the weak. Both sides must end up sitting to negotiate an end. That is what was confirmed by the agreement reached on Wednesday January 15, 2025".

"We urge the two sides to sustain the negotiations until a permanent and lasting peace plan is agreed to that will lead the emergence of two states into one or two side-by-side of each other or both as one State depending on what may be the most feasible to both sides as well as to the peace and security of the entire Region. We further urge all the hardliners on both sides to pull back and allow the moderates to negotiate. The ultimate benefits to the State of Israel from it's peace with the entire Middle East and the Islamic world is enormous if only it will give way, and in, to a lasting peace plan".

The GDNN expressed gratitude to the Leaders of the State of Qatar, Egypt, USA, Turkey and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for persevering in the entire process. We call on all countries of the World to support the complete reconstruction of Gazza and the full rehabilitation of the citizens as soon as possible. The GDNN will drive the effort internally.

PoliticsVandals Of Abuja Public Infrastructure To Be Charged With Economic Sabotage by Dannupawa(op): 9:30pm On Jan 13, 2025
1. Henceforth, vandals arrested for destroying public infrastructure within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be charged to court for economic sabotage.

2. This was one of the outcomes of the first security meeting for 2025, held in Abuja on Monday, January 13, 2025 and chaired by the FCT Minister Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.

3. Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting, the FCT Police Commissioner, Olatunji Disu, emphasized the severe consequences for those involved in vandalizing public infrastructure, stating that, "Everybody arrested for vandalizing public infrastructure will be charged to court. Not only will they be charged to court, they will be charged to court for economic sabotage."

4. CP Disu highlighted the dangers of such acts of vandalism, stating that they pose a significant threat to the lives of FCT residents. He said, that removing manholes, creates serious road hazards, potentially leading to fatal accidents.

5. He also stressed the inadequacy of previous punishments for vandals, such as community service and minor fines, which he described as ineffective and "recycling these criminals". He warned that charges could include attempted murder or murder in addition to economic sabotage.

6. The Police Commissioner said, “We have noticed that whenever we charge them to court, the punishments given to them are so minute that we notice that we have been recycling these criminals.

7. “Most of the time they get community service or they get 24 strokes of the cane and at times they get fined for 2,000, 5,000 Naira. So we noticed that we have been recycling these criminals.

8. “The activities of the vandals are enough to kill residents of the Federal Capital Territory, because they remove all these manholes and while driving at night, you may not know that they have been removed and is capable of causing death. So they will be charged for economic sabotage and, if possible, attempted murder or murder”.

9. The Police Commissioner also announced the committee’s decision to ban activities at all panteka markets (scrap metal and second-hand goods market) within the FCT for two weeks, allowing security agencies to profile their operators.

10. Reiterating an existing ban on the activities of scavengers in the city, the CP said “Scavenging activities are restricted to designated dump sites,” adding that all security agencies have been instructed to enforce the ban.

12. While emphasizing the importance of community involvement in protecting public infrastructure, the CP urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. He said every citizen has a role to play in protecting the community, adding “If you see anything, say something,"

13. Addressing the issue of ‘one-chance’ robberies, the Police Commissioner revealed that reports indicate that many of the criminals originate from other states but operate within the FCT, and given their serious nature, are treated as armed robbery and kidnapping.

14. The Police Commissioner further acknowledged ongoing efforts to combat the scourge of “one chance,” highlighting the successful recovery of 25 vehicles used by the criminal gangs.

15. Speaking on the recent bomb blast at an Islamic school in Biyazhin, Kubwa, CP Disu stated that investigations were ongoing and promised to provide further updates at an appropriate time.

WIKE AT 57: WHEN THE PEOPLE CELEBRATED A BELOVED SON

BY ANTHONY OGUNLEYE

All roads leading to the EUI Events Center along Abacha Road, GRA Port Harcourt, were choked with human and vehicular traffic. VIPs came down from their vehicles and worked for the last hundred meters to the very expansive venue selected to host the public lecture being held in honor of a man who can genuinely be described as the pride of his people.

The people came flamboyantly dressed, and various women groups identified by the brilliant colors of the George fabrics, which only came out on the most important of events, indicated the event's significance.

Getting into the hall was a herculean task, but once in, the mammoth crowd in the hall was the first thing that struck one. The vast hall was filled, and people searched for standing spaces. The atmosphere radiated joy and happiness as they all awaited the arrival of the man of the moment.

They didn’t have long to wait. Some minutes after 10 a.m., the man of the moment, FCT Ministe, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, GSSRS, walked in to great applause in the company of his son, close friends, and associates.

Friday, February 13th, was his 57th birthday, and members of the NEW Associates (NEW being an acronym for Nyesom Ezenwo Wike), an umbrella body of friends and all who shared his vision and political philosophy, marked the day with a public lecture titled “Pragmatic Strides of a Visionary Leader and Contemporary Issues of Society delivered by House Majority Leader Prof. Julius Ihonvbere.

Welcoming all to the event, Chairman of the Organising Committee Senator George Sekibo set the stage for what turned to be an exciting and enlightening occasion. He said, “this occasion is a shared celebration of our history, where we are coming from, our present, what he(Wike) has been to us, our aspiration … its time to unite and honor the legacy of an exceptional leader”

The chairman of the occasion, Chief OCJ Okocha SAN, described the Minister as a superlative performer, saying” there is nothing you put in his hands that will not be turned to success”. He also gave an anecdote about a woman who, seeing an array of boats, chose to join the one piloted by Nyesom Wike. Even though she has no idea where it is going, she is confident that the pilot knows where it is going and will not lead her astray.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, who came in a delegation of distinguished members of the upper chamber, in his remarks laced with humor, described how he nearly lost his way in Abuja because of the changes in road infrastructure put in place by the minister.

He advised that politicians desist from the politics of betrayal and treachery, saying they do not allow for good succession. He also said that the appointment of Wike as Minister was not by mistake but as a reward for hard work. He prayed that the minister gets as much as he has given others.

Delivering her goodwill message on behalf of the FCTA and residents of the FCT, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, Hon. Minister of State, described her principal as a visionary leader and prayed for his long life in good health and prosperity.

The Peoples Democratic Party was not left out, and in their goodwill message, the National Vice Chairman (South) Amb. Taofeek Arapaja described Wike as one of the most committed and loyal party leaders who believes in the politics of fairness, equity, and justice.

The Senate President unveiled a 536-page book titled “A Remembrance of the Pragmatic Footprints of a Visionary Leader,” which features pictures of the minister's projects and achievements as governor of Rivers State. The Book was distributed to guests, who were excited to receive it.

In his paper, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere lamented that many Nigerian leaders unfortunately still thought along ethnic, religious , and opportunistic terms. “there is no national philosophy, no national consciousness. We believe that during football, we all come together and support; that is something we can sleep on and after the match…”
One of the paper discussants and publisher of This Nigeria newspaper, Mr. Eric Osagie, believes that both leaders and followers are from the same stock and proceeded to extoll the virtues of the FCT Minister.

In his very brief remarks, the celebrant, Barrister Nyesom Wike, expressed surprise at the event's attendance and thanked all h is associates who organized it. He also thanked all the attendes at the event and thanked all his associates who organized it. He also thanked all the attendees , stressing that the day was not meant for political statements and rhetoric but for celebration.

The event also featured traditional dances from various cultural troupes, and gifts were presented to the quite elated celebrant.
The joy on Chief wike’s face was quite palpable as he made his way out of the hall shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries. A bemused young lady observing it all said she had not seen the minister so relaxed and at peace.

Her friend responded, “What do you expect? He is at home with his people and he is beloved.

PoliticsMinister Moves To Explore $23bn Exotic Livestock Breed Market by Dannupawa(op): 3:00pm On Dec 14, 2024
The Minister of Livestock Development, Dr Idi Maiha, has called on the Raw Materials Research and Development Council to take the lead in the transformation of Nigeria’s livestock sector through research and development.

He stated that the commitment will enable the country to access the $23bn livestock exotic breed market and enhance leather production.

The minister made this call during a courtesy visit by RMRDC Director-General, Prof Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso to the ministry.

A statement by the council on Friday noted that Maiha highlighted several key areas where R. M.R.D.C could play a pivotal role, including pasture and fodder development, local production of livestock feeds, and the use of artificial insemination to increase milk yield in cattle.

The minister also called for a focus on promoting exotic livestock breeds such as the Sokoto Red goat, which is renowned for its high-quality leather often mistakenly referred to as “Moroccan leather.”

“This breed has significant potential in the global leather market, which is valued at over 23 billiondollars, but Nigeria’s current share remains minimal due to a lack of quality leather products,” Maiha pointed out.

He also emphasised the “need for research into local medicines and vaccines, alongside the development of strategies to protect the skins of livestock species.”

The minister also urged for improvements in cold chain infrastructure and the introduction of solar dryers to improve the quality and shelf life of livestock products, further enhancing the sector’s value.

Responding, the R. M.R.D.C DG, Prof Ike-Muonso assured the minister of the council’s commitment to advancing the livestock sector through research and development.

He outlined the council’s past and ongoing initiatives aimed at boosting the sector.

These include dairy development projects such as the establishment of milk collection centres in Paikonkore, FCT, and Yola in collaboration with Modibo University in Adamawa.

He further discussed the council’s work on artificial insemination projects aimed at increasing milk yields in local livestock, particularly a collaboration with the Taraba State government.

The statement added that the partnership “is expected to transform Nigeria’s livestock sector, driving economic growth, improving livelihoods, and promoting local content development.

“This collaboration aims to reduce the country’s dependence on foreign inputs, increase agricultural competitiveness, and support sustainable development in the sector.”

PoliticsMinister Vows To Transform Livestock Sector by Dannupawa(op): 2:44pm On Dec 14, 2024
Minister of Livestock Development, Muktar Idris Maiha, has pledged to create an enabling environment for local and foreign investors in the livestock sub-sector.

Speaking recently on the NTA flagship programme, Good Morning Nigeria, Maiha emphasized the ministry's commitment to providing ease of doing business, infrastructure, legislation, and risk management to support the growth of the livestock industry.

The minister noted that despite previous interest in meat processing, the sector has struggled to take off. However, with the recent surge in interest from local and foreign investors, Maiha is optimistic about the sector's potential for growth.

He further highlighted the ministry's efforts to create a conducive environment for investors, citing the recent trip to Brazil in the company of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a catalyst for renewed interest in the sector.

He noted that necessary processes are being put in place to create that enabling
environment for investors local and
foreign, to come into the Livestock sub-sector.

According to him, "we have seen the
appetite in the last few weeks since we returned from Brazil we have seen a lot of interest both foreign and local".

Maiha explained that although there has been a lot intentions before now especially in meat processing, he lamented that somehow it didn't germinate, pointing out that it is not the duty of the Ministry to run the abattoirs, but rather, to provide the enabling environment ease of doing business, infrastructure, legislation and to also de-risk the environment.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Livestock Development is set to engage with development finance institutions to unlock the vast potential of Nigeria's livestock sector.

According to the Minister, many Nigerians are unaware of the sector's opportunities, including the processing and export of animal by-products such as blood, hooves, bones, and bile.

The Minister also highlighted the growth potential of pasture production, citing high demand for grasses.

"Investors can capitalize on this opportunity by cultivating pasture on a commercial scale, creating a ripple effect of business opportunities in logistics, equipment supply, and cold chain transportation", he said.

PoliticsFct Minister Presents Second Batch Of Operational Vehicles To Security Agencies by Dannupawa(op): 9:44pm On Dec 12, 2024
…CHARGES THEM TO TAKE THE WAR TO CRIMINALS

1. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, December 12, 2024 presented 50 brand new operational vehicles to the security agencies in the FCT to support the fight against insecurity.

2. Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the FCT Minister said security was a priority of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and stressed the commitment of the FCTA to the security of the nation’s capital.

3. He said adequate provision was made in the budget of the FCT by the National Assembly for the purchase of the 50 operational vehicles, adding that the FCTA had, earlier in the year, also distributed 50 operational vehicles to the security agencies, bringing the total number to 100.

4. The Minster charged the security agencies to utilize the vehicles to protect lives and property in the Abuja city centre and the satellite towns, urging them to take the war to the criminals and not wait until they strike.

5. He said, “We must not give space, we must not allow the criminals to strike before we go in. We have to take the war to them, let them know that we are serious. So, this festive period, make sure that you don’t give them any gap”.

6. Barr. Wike who noted that there is improvement in FCT’s security situation, especially a reduction in kidnapping incidents in the rural areas, commended the security agencies and pledged the continued support of the FCT Administration.

7. He disclosed that 12 police divisions were currently being constructed in the six Area Councils of the FCT as was requested by the FCT Police Commissioner, and assured that the divisions would be completed, furnished, and handed over to the police by April next year.

8. Noting that the difficult terrain and remoteness of the FCT Area Council were militating against the fight against insecurity, the Minister also expressed confidence that the provision of access roads in the rural areas will also make it easier for the security agencies to operate in these areas.

9. He therefore called on FCT residents to support the security agencies, urging them to report untoward activities in their communities to nip security threats in the bud.

10. Reacting to recent accusations of land grabbing against the FCT Administration in social media, the Minister said the FCTA was not afraid of blackmail and was determined to correct anomalies in land administration in the FCT. He stressed that the FCTA would not be deterred by negative commentary in the media.

11. He said “Let me use this opportunity to tell Nigerians and the residents of the FCT that we are not afraid of blackmail. In fact, you cannot be in this kind of position and you say you will not be blackmailed, particularly as regards this Abuja where there are so many land grabbers.

12. “Some of us have come to put our feet down. Let heaven fall. It is even better that heaven comes down now so that we will not be fasting again to go to heaven. We will stop anybody who thinks that he can take the government's land for whatever reason without formal approval.

13. “We will not look at your face. If you like, you can be a civil rights activist. If you like, you can be a television talker. What is wrong is wrong. No amount of blackmail can stop us..If you want land, you know the right thing to do, you know the right step to take. But through blackmail, you won’t get it”.

14. The Minister also used the opportunity to warn ground rent and other land tax defaulters that the government would not hesitate to revoke their land titles.

15. He said the FCT Administration requires revenue to provide infrastructure in the FCT and pay staff salaries, adding that the allocation from the Federal Government alone was not sufficient.

16. He said, “I have published the names in the newspapers and people think I’m joking. All of you are saying we are providing vehicles, with which money. What does the FCT get in a month from the Federal Government allocation? If the FG gets N1 trillion in a month, for example, we take 1 percent and that is N10 billion. There is no oil here. We are not collecting derivations. It’s only what the Federal government gets, they give us one percent.

17. “You are talking about Wike is working, roads here, flyovers there. You own a property, pay your ground rent, you won’t pay. Then every day you say Wike is working. Will he work with his blood?”, he asked

18. Earlier in his welcome address, the FCTA Director of Security Services, Adamu Gwary, thanked the FCT Minister for the provision of crime-fighting equipment for the security agencies, saying it will enhance their capacity to tackle security threats in the FCT.

19. The FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, who spoke on behalf of all the security heads in Abuja, said the donation of operational vehicles underscores the commitment of the FCT Administration to enhancing the operational capacity of the security agencies, adding that the vehicles will also improve their ability to swiftly respond to emergencies, conduct patrols and other policing initiatives.

20. Chairmen, Senate Committee on Area Councils and other Ancillary Matters, Senator David Jimkuta and House of Representatives Committee on FCT, Hon Aliyu Mukhtar Betara, respectively commended the FCT Minister over his support to the security agencies and pledged the continued support of the National Assembly, even as they urged the security agencies to also ensure the judicious use of the operational vehicles.

PoliticsSustenance Of Constitutional Democracy Depends On Judicial Independence -wike by Dannupawa(op): 7:06pm On Dec 11, 2024
1. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has said that the stability of the Nigerian State and the suitability of its constitutional democracy rests largely on the independence of the judiciary.

2. The FCT Minister stated this while delivering a paper on judicial Independence at the 2024 annual Court of Appeal Justices conference held in Abuja on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He said the judiciary, as an arm of government, must be free from interference, either by the Legislative and executive arms of government or other individuals, to guarantee its integrity and independence.

3. He added that the judiciary, as recognized in the principle of separation of powers, should be able to perform its adjudicatory role based on the law and facts presented before it in individual cases without any external influence or interference from the executive or legislature.

4. The Minister said, “The court can neither safeguard the personal liberties of the citizens nor protect and defend the constitution against infractions unless it is independent of the legislative and the executive arms of government, including other individuals, groups, and institutions in the performance of its onerous duty to administer justice to all manner of persons without fear or favor, affection or ill will”.

5. Highlighting other vital roles of the judiciary, including its function of ensuring that the legislature and Executive arms of government act within their constitutional limits, the Minister said the need to ensure judicial independence cannot be overemphasized.

6. To preserve the judiciary's independence, the Minister called for appropriate machinery for appointing judges, security of tenure of office for Judges, and financial autonomy for the judiciary, among others.

7. The Minister also said Judges must be courageous in discharging their duties without fear of criticism or intimidation.

8. He said, “You cannot do your work without people criticizing you. We have all kinds of strategies to do anything to make sure that cases do not go on. But you must be a courageous judge to stand firm”.

9. Barr. Wike, who also noted that housing and remuneration for judicial officials have a direct bearing on the independence of the judges, said the provision of decent accommodation for judicial officers on an owner-occupier basis will go a long way in preserving the independence and integrity of the judiciary.

10. He said, “When a Judge is retiring, and he has no home, that judge will be tempted to do one or two things. But if a Judge is retiring today and has a home, he has a shelter; it will make that Judge independent”.

11. “That’s why when I was Governor of Rivers State, I made it mandatory that at least no judge would say I would retire tomorrow without having decent accommodation, those who wanted the house and those who wanted it to be monetized.

12. “It’s a factor, and I recommend this to the States and Federal Government, and that’s what we have started to do now in the FCT by making sure that every FCT Judge, on retirement, has a home”.

13. He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving an enhanced salary structure and pension for judicial officials and expressed confidence that it will encourage them to guard their independence jealously. He added that the judiciary equally owes itself the responsibility of guarding its independence by standing up to those who trample on it.

14. He said, “I was glad when one of your leaders, Chief Kanu Agabi said don’t allow people to write history for you. You write your history. Yes, you may not be able to talk, but you have an administrative department that should, from time to time, respond to some of these attacks.

15. “You must have a public relations department. Since you can’t speak, others can speak on your behalf. But just folding your arms and people will begin to attack you is not the best. We think that you should do something about it. In that way, you will guarantee your independence,” Barr. Wike stressed.

16. He, however, stated that judicial independence does not imply that judges are above the law or at liberty to disregard applicable rules or judicial precedent in exercising their judicial powers, adding that it is mainly independence within the framework of the constitution and law.

3. Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, the Minister said that legal institutions could do a lot more in providing infrastructure if adequately funded and called for the amendment of the TETFUND Act to include the Nigerian Law School as a fund beneficiary.

4. He said, “I want to say it is definitely not late for the amendment of the TETFUND so that the Nigerian Law School can be included in the funding. This is a professional training school.

5. “We will give you all the necessary support to amend this Fund so that the Law School can benefit from the intervention fund. If that happens, I’m sure you will see that the difference will be clear. They will have money to provide infrastructure.”

6. Speaking on the construction of staff housing for the school by the FCT Administration, the Minister said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave the directive to ensure that infrastructure is provided for the Nigerian Law School to improve its infrastructural conditions.

7. He said there was nothing wrong with providing basic infrastructure for the school as it belonged to the federal government.

8. The Minister said, “Let me say clearly that the federal government owns this school, and there is nothing wrong with the federal government trying to provide basic infrastructure to uplift the school.

9. “It is the responsibility of the Federal Government and Mr. President mandated it, that he has heard of the decay in infrastructure because there was no fund for the Ministry of Justice, down to the Council of Legal Education; he directed that I should make sure that this infrastructure is providing

10. The Minister said the project would be completed within 8 months and assured the contractor of adequate funding.

11. Earlier in his remarks, the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isa Hayyatu Chiroma, said the construction of staff quarters and provision of utility vehicles will assist the school in fulfilling its mandate.

13. 15. Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the Council of Legal Education (CLE), Chief Emeka Ngige (SAN), thanked President Tinubu for approving the intervention by the FCT Administration to construct residential quarters for the Nigerian Law School. 16. Chief Ngige (SAN) stressed that the development has brought psychological upliftment to the management of the Nigerian Law School whom, he said, were still agonizing over the recent eviction of 20 academic and administrative staff of the School from their official residence in Lagos.

17. The Chairman, CLE, while also thanking the FCT Minister for the total and unflinching support given to the Council of Legal Education, added that history will record Barr. Nyesom Wike as the most significant contributor to the growth of the legal profession in Nigeria, particularly in infrastructure development.
