Just take a bank statement with you to show you can covers maintenance fee(if accommodation is not covered ) and have the i20 corrected . Make sure the i20 specify that is tuition is covered They have a good support from their alumni |

Rheenah: I just got my i20 from Berea college. I was told that i may not need bank statements since my four year tuition is covered. What do u guys advice? Also, they wrote Nimasichi instead of Nmasichi on my i20 though other documents had the right spelling. I have emailed them but no reply yet. Advice please. Thank you You need a bank statement because Berea college only offer tuition scholarship but you ve got room and board and also health insurance to pay for So bro, you need a bank statement. You can request a new i-20 for correction of your name. |

irshadmuaz: awww. yeah thanks alot. Please could you enlighten me on the study permit application. I was admitted for fall 2016 semester, classes begin august 15. I am preparing to apply my study permit application this june in a few weeks. Hope it is not too late. Would really appreciate your reply. Also given this naira depreciation and black market exchange rate going on what would be a reasonable SOA to show for visa purposes. my tuition is estimated at 17400 USD per year. 2 year course. I plan to include 2 co-sponsors. is a letter of financial support from them sufficient or what more credentials on my sponsors behalf should i have. These are the current account statements. primary sponsor: Father: closing balance 9 mil naira. co- sponsor: Brother: closing balance 42,000 CAD. co- sponsor: Maternal Uncle: closing balance: 39000 USD. are these SOA sufficient combined? Would really appreciate your reply. I don't understand what you mean by study permit, but if it's visa you are talking about, you can have co- sponsors for your visa interview. |

Fortissimo: The guys attitude is so irritating. We don't need that here, please. If you don't want people to post their transcripts that's fine. Just state your reason and anyone who wants to stop can stop based on your reason. Don't come here and start all that citizen / PR nonsense with me. I'm not into peniss size measuring. What's your purpose on this thread? Shey you are living the American dream? Please leave us Nigerians alone. At least we have other citizens and PRs on this thread that help us. You are irrelevant, unhelpful and unneeded on this thread. I'm sure there is an American election thread on nairaland that you can do your abusive stuff on. Not here.

Mekurexx: Yeah I also have that in mind. But that will require ensuring I get the timing right. there has to be enough time space between landing/immigration checks and the connecting flight. thats alot of work lol I gave my landing time to my boarding time up to 6 hrs, which later on we landed late, the emirate I took, the pilot have to divert the plane to Kuwait cuz of a sick passenger we had on board. But if you give it 5 to 6 hrs gap, u will be good |

Mayflowa: Seriously! You want lalasticlala to put you out to the world? There is everything wrong with your intentions. Begin to take that thought from your heart.
You wanna abandon your job and become a fugitive here? People that come here legally find life hard at the start let alone you with no housing and job. The cold will finish you.
If you are interested in coming to America. Go apply for cheap school. Read and pass your GRE and take study leave. You may even qualify for scholarship. If you like America you could then work your paper to stay legally.
Why does all Nigerians want to become mega rich. Most people don't aspire to be mega rich in America. They just live a simple life and pay their tax. I have to take my time to talk to you so u won't face so much regret by ur decision. This is the best advice one can ever get in this kinda situation. |

If not for the sake of diversity, a Lotta African applicants won't break into those school.
