The reason for the tripod is to prevent the video from shaking.if you can prevent it from shaking or moving you re good to go

cic needs your bank statements for the past four months(minimum). So, fairly implies that a bank statement older than a month will not meet the last four month requirement in my view as it will cover the past 3 months and a gap of one month and as such too risky to be used. I will personally not use a bank statement older than 15 days. Just go to the bank and print a new one as there is no need to take unnecessary risk. Goodluck

The statement I printed is 7 months ish statement from July last year to early January 5th. But since the 5th I've not been able to use it because of I've been waiting for the international passport. Abj office is telling no booklet story. To get a new statement means I'll have to go back to ph and once my passport is ready ill go to lagos for the app

My wife is applying for spousal open work permit and she will be coming with our 1yr old . Must our daughter go with her to vfs or she can go alone

Your wife can apply for the spousal open work permit which will be subject to your student status in canada. It still falls under the temporary resident visa but has advantages of an open work permit where she doesn't need to be offered a job when applying and can work anywhere she choose to. It also will last for the duration of your status as a student. so in a nutshell, She'll be given a spousal open work permit which is quite different from the temporary work permit or visitor visa.

I always had this feeling that paper application was faster than online because no embassy will like to hold your passport for more than 3 months.
I actually did paper application for my study permit and it was approved within 2 months. I've applied for my wife and she insisted it be done via online and since June till now we're yet to hear from CIC. I am really pissed with CIC.

Hi everyone, I stumbled on this forum 2 days ago when I tracked my application and on cic website, it said 'final decision not started' but vfs said my passport was ready for collection. I was confused and scared and started checking online to see if that was normal. Thank God today I collected and my sowp was approved.

Timeline
1/11/16: submitted paper route
18/11/16: medical mail
24/11/16: medical done at consultant practice
1/12/16: medical passed update on cic
6/12/16: tracked via and said ready to pick
8/12/17: collected my visa at vfs lagos

My friend that used notary public for all his doc got his trv in 5wks I don't know for sure if it's cuz of that

Just get a COGENT affidavit of support and sponsorship letter, then pray. Atleast thats what i did

I don't know any document you could used, if there is any way you can traced it,then fine, maybe voter's card showing you are from the same village COULD do the trick. As for me, I had absolutely nothing so I worded my sponsorship letter in a way that showed long time relationship between me and him and also stated that he has been supporting financially before

Yes proof of tuition will definitely how that your sponsorship is authentic. Don't forget to add the receipt and you could also state that she has paid that to proof her commitment. As for me again ; I did not pay any cent until I got to Canada.

No because there was absolutely nothing to show any sort of relationship

1) What evidences do you have to show a VO that your sponsor will not defect in sponsoring your education? Legal, picture, etc evidences.
2) It should not as long as you explain that gap in your SOP.
3) Either choice is up to you. I would suggest you need not do medicals until you are asked to. #MoneyandUncertaintyWise
4) This is also up to you. Not too sure which route is faster now but neither would affect a VO's decision on your application.

I used sponsor without the same surname as well but i got affidavid of support and sponsorship letter, passport,bank statement, employment letter, land deed from him and i claim him as my half-uncle, now im in canada.

Once again, Thank you all for supporting me during my application period, i know its not easy to wait but always keep hope ALIVE. I just have one question to ask. I'm currently studying in Canada, I want my wife to come and join me, but without our 7 months old baby, I want both of them to apply for the visa but when the visa is approved, i want only her to come and then the little one can join later. The question is will she be allowed to travel alone without the baby??
