Oga,it seems understanding is a big issue for you.what you posted is just a part of what I posted.what I posted covered everything while yours is partial.no two case is ever the same,they can only be similar.the case of saleh and obaseki are not exactly the same but very similar.saleh committed forgery in 2011 and the court in 2015 still disq.obaseki committed or was alleged to commit forgery in 2016 and his matter is before the court.the only difference is that saleh was already indicted by a court in 2011 while a court has not yet indicted obaseki but there are similarities.

The summary is that according to the supreme court,if obaseki committed any forgery even in 1989 while in the process of contestation,he can be removed at any time.so what is your problem?

If you send a forged document to INEC in 1990 and it wasn't noticed then, and you remove that document from your materials and contest in 2020; If it is PROVEN by the issuing authority, that what you submitted in 1990 was FORGED, you will be sacked, arrested & prosecuted unless you get a pardon like Salisu Buhari did.

Incase you don't know, I will tell you.
On INEC forms given to any aspirant, there is a column that states;
"Have you ever presented forged documents to INEC" (Yes/No)

Even if you participate in that election and lose.....you still fall under category Exhibit BL above. It is normal for every aspirant to say NO

Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking to disqualify the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 19, 2020, election in Edo state, Mallam Gani Audu.

The suit, marked FHC/ABJ/CS/758/2020, was filed by the Action Democratic Party (ADP).

It alleged that Audu presented forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The plaintiff also alleged that the documents contain misleading discrepancies especially in name arrangement.

However, in a ruling on Monday, the court dismissed the suit with cost.

The case slated for ruling for the day was between Hon. Momoh Abdulrazak vs the APC in suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/758/2020.

The plaintiffs had claimed that Mallam Gani Audu’s certificate was forged and containing some misleading discrepancies especially in name arrangement as submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The issue before the court was whether the matter had become academic, hypothetical, and having no live issue to be determined.

In delivering it's ruling, the court raised two issues for determination - whether the matter was a pre-election matter as claimed by the plaintiffs' counsel, Mr F.N Nwosu and whether the matter had become an academic exercise, having regards to the 19th September, 2020 election.

On the 1st issue, the court held that the matter was not a pre-election matter having being instituted by the plaintiffs who do not fall under the category of persons entitled under section 285(14) 1999 CFRN as amended to institute pre-election matters.

The court further stated that it is rather an objection under section 31(5) Electoral Act.
On the second issue, the court stated that the relief under section 31(6) Electoral Act has been overtaken by events. The court further stated that the matter has become sterile, obsolete and of no effect.

Also, that the court declined jurisdiction to continue to hear the matter and subsequently struck it out.

In that case, the argument was that Ize-Iyamu was not a registered member of the Party as he had registered under an unrecognised faction.
The Court said it has become academic and therefore threw it out.

This one is a different one and I have my reservations as well.

True.well,what do we expect from a state high court controlled by obaseki? I remember when that case was filed just before that of William edobor,we argued it and agreed that it is the same thing as Mohammed and mohammadu or livi and livinus in atiku vs buhari supra.shuaibu has a similar problem and it will end same way

Another thing I detest about APC’s personalities and as a group is the fact that they will never let you concentrate and enjoy your administration if you win them with votes. They will start filing different lawsuits against you and from one court to the other. I could remember during Fayose’s first administration in Ekiti state. Fayemi never gave up in suing him to court for different allegations. From vote buying to HND saga. It was really frustrating that Fayose had to resign though reasons attached to some personal decisions. But it’s really unfair and bad from the All progressive party. They should learn to accept defeat and strategize while preparing for the future instead of causing troubles everywhere. If Goodluck Jonathan had refused to hand over power these power mongers; I’m sure their dogs would be toothless by now but above all. Opposition is sometimes the strength of the masses.
