Direct Short Service(DSS) is meant for professionals and the highest rank u can attained here is a col. , U are only allow to serve the force for a highest of 15yrs. Here for a starts u commissioned to Leut. and major for doctors and maybe lawyers. While


Short service Combatant(SSC) is meant for fresh graduates, they attend thesame courses with the regular combatants and can converts to rugalar combatant which allows u to attain the highest rank in the force...here u at starts, u are commissioned to a 2nd left.

Scores of loyalists and supporters of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu have stormed Akure, the Ondo State capital to solicit the support of the people of the state and the South West region for Tinubu presidency in 2023.

The party made up of politicians and non politicians from all the 18 local government areas of the state were under the umbrella of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Network Vision which was also inaugurated in the state today.

The group declared that Tinubu is the best person to lead the country, describing him as a political strategist and grassroots mobiliser.

At the meeting were the former Ondo State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Sola Amodeni; former Ondo State lawmaker, Hon Samuel Ade Pelemo; BAT Vision State Coordinator, Akinlolu Ayodele and his deputy, Bukky Oluderu.

Speaking, the coordinator of the group, Ayodele maintained that the BAT vision was not just a group but a network movement to showcase the values and promote the essence of Tinubu’s leadership qualities.

Ayodele said the meeting was to garner all minds together under the umbrella of BAT network vision, focusing on how the APC national leader will attain victory as Nigeria’s president in 2023.

He observed that the platform would be used to test run the 2020 guber poll in the state, urging the citizenry to key into the group’s philosophy.

Amodeni, who extolled the leadership virtues of the former governor said: “I believe in Tinubu’s vision; through his leadership at the national level of governance, Nigeria will not be the same in handling the menace of unemployment, insecurity and economic stagnation.”

The former commissioner emphasised that the present hardship in the country especially …economy and security did not start with the APC.

According to him” eight years of the administration of Buhari cannot even solve the multi-dimensional problem in the country. He is just laying the foundation that the likes of Tinubu can build on solidly, if he is given the mandate to rule after 2023.”

He supported the closure of land borders in Nigeria, stressing that most of the fake drugs, illegal arms and ammunition with other contrabands were brought into the country through the land borders.

Amodeni enthused that with the closure, crime rate was reducing gradually, adding that the order should be permanent and total.

Ijabiyi said: “As a Yoruba man, Tinubu is worth celebrating. He has demonstrated good leadership in all facets of life; I am not hesitating to join the crusade of network movement of BAT to promote his vision for Nigeria.”

The town of Kabba in Kogi state was shut down for Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Edward Onoja as their campaign train hit the town.

The governor used the opportunity to sell his New Direction program to the people who welcomed him and his entourage.

Music star, 9ice, performed to the admiration of the theming youths who wanted more.

Speaking at the rally, Governor Yahaya Bello said a second term is important for him to finish the civil service reforms which will help the state save more funds and execute more meaningful projects for the people of the state.

The governor opined that the region has benefitted mostly from the New Direction Government as it was housing the Ejiba Rice milling factory which gulped over 4 billion naira and has the capacity to employ about five thousand youths.

He however expressed optimism that his second term in office would further facilitate greater projects which would be of immense benefit particularly with a focus on human capital development.

Earlier while the governor paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi he canvassed support for the election of Senator Smart Adeyemi at the senatorial rerun election slated for the same November 16

Equally, his deputy, Edward Onoja noted that despite paucity of funds, the state has paid salaries, and carried out quality projects across the 3 senatorial district of the state.

He added that security in the state has improved from what it use to be before the coming of the Yahaya Bello administration.

He urged the Okun nation to vote enmass for APC and Yahaya Bello at the November 16 gubernatorial election.

Mr Wada is Yahaya Bello’s main challenger at the November 16 governorship election.

We just got a report from an eye witness at the Abia State University at the late hours yesterday, stating that the male hostel provided by the school management was set ablaze, and at that hour there was no sufficient source of water to fight the fire that was engulfing the building while students properties were inside.
