Hopefully they don't show any of Kano Pillars home games. Don't ask me why..lol

kano Is a good advert for the NPFL in terms of spectators and crowd. but the downside of it is the violence although I think with TV the violence will be avoided and limited

I wish to call for the closure of this Thread so that all issues concerning female national teams can be discused there ''www.nairaland.com/3400356/nigeria-female-national-teams-thread/10''

This issue had already been resolved among stakeholders here

Let's be sensitive to all positive efforts made by sports (football) loving persons here.

me think this thread x relevant and should not be closed, the male teams v separate threads from u17 to u23 and the national team. then y should we put the female u17 to the National team in one place.

considering that this thread is 2 in 1, I don't think it should be closed.

I think CAF should modify the female U20 and U17 qualifiers to what is obtained for the men's game. Something like CAF U20 or U17 Women's championship that will have 8 teams battling for the available qualifying slots. Unlike the strictly home and away basis currently being run.

let's give the new CAF president time he should make changes to the format of the Caf competitions. just like the new Champions league and confederations cup with four groups

seriously. the lack of it is hampering the growth and performances of African teams in world tourneys at all levels both male and female levels.

a frequent U19 and U17 tourney for male and female national teams would do a lot of good.

The race to France 2019 has begun

Nigeria battle Tanzania for Fifa U20 Women's World Cup
Jun 16, 2017 11:30:41 Nigerians Abroad

Coach Peter Dedevbo’s ladies will face the east African for a place at the 2018 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup in FranceNigeria U20 women national side will confront Tanzania in the first round qualifier for the 2018 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup Cup in France.

The Confederation of African Football on Thursday conducted the pairing with the Falconets among the 19 countries eyeing the two qualification slots.
Coach Peter Dedevbo's girls will host the first leg scheduled for the weekend of September 15-17, 2017, while the second leg holds between September 20 - October 1, 2017.

Should the U20 women side get past the first round, they will face either Morroco or Senegal in the second stage before securing a passage to the final round where they are likely to face South Africa for the third time in the row for one of the two Africa slots to the international showpiece.

Nigeria have appeared at all seven editions of the tournament and reached the final twice in 2010 and 2014.

is it me or the stadium is just not filled to its capacity the upper layer looks empty.

I think I know where the violence in the NPFL comes from, many individuals sees football as war where the opponents and their fans are to be attacked. imagine someone beside me saying the SA fans needs to be killed, and he said it with all seriousness. many people need to be sensitised on football followership football not violence

"Lots of potential, on one hand. On the other, on paper, he's not an upgrade to any of Arsenal's forwards, bar Sanogo. But we'll see. https:///UktqEImQwq"

I don't know y I fund this tweet about Onyekuru move to Arsenal very annoying, maybe because it was made by a Nigerian, a broadcaster and Oap for that matter.

Although I v not seen the guy play but what he has achieved in his first season as a Pro, I m finding it difficult to remember a recent Arsenal forward that I know who had similar exploits in his first season, starting from 2006 when Theo Walcott was brought in. Maybe there is sha n I just don't know

See what I didn't like in this goal and also Sikiru's own was that the keeper didn't attempt to stop it. I think the keeper should at least jump even if it is for the camera.

Oga to tell u the truth this thread is where the bus stops for me. I am not a member of any other group.

Well both keepers didn't expect the strikes to end up in the net but to me that is energy wasted if u jump for the camera, they could also get injured doing the jump and that is not wanted

Muazzam is not a hidden talent though. We already knew of his ability from the under 17/20 and if not for injuries and MRI, he should be playing at a higher level by now. It is about whether he can play at a higher level now.

There are hidden talents in the league but it is hard to gauge whether they are really 'national level' good or just the usual flash in the pan. That is why CHAN is important, it helps us assess the players and decide those that can play at a higher level.

That is why it is critical to select young players for CHAN. People that has spent less than 5 years in the league. I believe that no matter how talented you are, if you spend too long playing at a low level, you might be unable to raise your game beyond a certain level. Sincerely, I do not want to see an Obaje in CHAN. I will prefer if that under 17 kid is taken.

I wasn't saying Al hassan is a hidden talent but then u got my point.

The way the English media hype en, nawa.

If u watch how sky sports are hyping the EFL play off coming up this afternoon, they are saying it's the richest game in the world, dude could v kuku said it's more a important game than the Wc final.

we need a media outfit that can build the image of our leagues like this, supersport can do that, but they won't.

Yes o!!! Friday Ubong is on a crazy run of form right now. He got the ball outside the box on the left and just let go an unstoppable shot that rifled into the top right corner. I am not exaggerating when I say 2 keepers wouldn't have stopped it. I also have to give the coach Abdu Maikaba a lot of credit, from what I am see he is the best coach in Nigeria. Akwa was without Alhassan, Ifeanyi and Aremu but yet made it look easy.

even the goalkeeper was expecting a goal kick only to be disrupted in his run to pick the ball from the ball boy the cross bar which knocked the ball down into the net.

please Basco do u v a WhatsApp group where NPFL is discussed or even the NNL I wanna join. I met a reporter and saw him in what looked like an official NPFL group I asked him if I could join, he said he would put my number in the group and ask the admin to add me but since then I vnt seen any notification. if u are in one of such groups please lemme know
