I don't need to belong to any particular generation to know that get rich syndrome is not limited to Nigeria alone. Neither do you need a seer to tell you crime wasn't this blatant some years back. The question remains, what led Nigeria to hobbesian state. . . definitely not the general populace, if you ask me.

FYI, I do not condone kidnapping but if that would make the leaders sit up, then so be it. Abi, for how long are we to remain in a state of perpetual fear simply because we abhor crime while our leaders are commiting heinous crimes and getting away with it?
