I did not read where you legally divorce your first wife. You only mentioned something about collecting back dowry from erstwhile in-laws. If you've not done the right thing, go back and do it b4 ur ex slams u with bigamy and all kinds of law suits.
Family / Re: Should Children Interfere In Parent Matters? by Dark1(m): 1:01am On Aug 09, 2014
@ OP, U've already judged ur dad so ur intervention will always be biased! undecided

Generally speaking, children can intervene (with respect),did a lot of that while growing up without being biased. However, whenever one of the party fails to speak out or both parties remain mute. . . its better to leave them be or invite an elderly family member/friend to intervene.

I actually giggled when I was told a friend had passed on, it seemed hilariously surreal! undecided

I mean here's someone I just hung out with the night before, with some friends already calling me to come over with my friend. I had to tell the caller to quit playing around like 10 times before reality sank in! embarassed

Family / Re: Is It A Good Idea To Have Your Baby In The US? by Dark1(m): 11:32pm On Jul 17, 2014
I think its important u shore up ur money. If you've got the funds you can do both, if not, invest wisely so u can give ur child the best. My parents never birthed me abroad but today, I travel without even going for no damn visa interviews.

The most I do is bio-metrics (which can be waived in some cases). I work with one of the MNCs' they take care of all that travelling logistics.

The best you can give your child is to inculcate sound values in him/her from the onset and give him/her quality education, which is obtainable without necessarily going overseas. . . at least thats what my parents did!

Come to think of it, most of my senior colleagues with grown up kids don't even want their kids growing up in that so-called USA. I guess thats a story for another time.

Nigerians do not understand sarcasm, satire or intelligent humour.

However, they do understand cheesy and unfunny nollywood character like Baba sue and co.

Anyone who have a problem with wikileakin is a one of those nigerian I described above.

Wikleakin claimed I used BBQ money to flenjor, I have no problem with this as it is not true. (even if it is true, I manage to get away with it.) grin

Crime / Re: Platinum And Inspired Man by Dark1(m): 5:18pm On Sep 22, 2010
Sam Milla:

Inspired,
First of all, I wish you goodluck in recovering your lost money.
But Are you trying to tell us that there was no other way to go about contacting her parents before putting up a young lady's name as a criminal on the internet ?
What you failed to see was that things like that could damage her life forever.
You posted her home address here if i remember correctly, posted her siblings and her mother too.
In order words, you smoked the Parents out of the holes to attend to you ? attaboy!.

You know, My stand from day one remains that there has to be better ways to go about things like this.
I remember asking if you contacted the parents and no one answered that question.
Then i also suggested legal actions which i believe was appropriate but some people were just Drinking and celebrating because someone is being brought down to zero. The reasons they gave was that she did the same to The Seeker. So much for "an eye for an eye"
Wow! How do we really plan to Rise if we wish other people to fall ?

Its one thing for an individual to be set up, its a completely different ball game for an individual to set himself up, which is what u've been doing so far on this thread.

You might think you're playing the moral card but going by responses from un-biased mind on here and other forums, u need to realise u're simply sinking ur self and ur friend in the quicksand of castigation.

Had he gone to the parents initially, Plat would've simply tried (as she's currently doing) to rebuff the claims and frustrate the process. I've heard her mom thinks the world of her, so u tell me what would've been the inevitable outcome

Now b4 peeps start accusing u of partaking in the largesse, I'd suggest u simply let sleeping dogs lie (dem many 4 hia oooh - u've been warned) and watch proceedings from a very safe distance (ur website perhaps cheesy)

A good way to marshall your point (if there's any) home is to come up with irrefutable fact & figures, quite frankly, I see no point jabbering about certificate bearers who have nothing to offer (a peculiar problem which is akin to Nigeria as a whole and not just a tribe). Btw, shouldn't this be in the tribalism section? Its quite apparent what your intention is!!!
