Local man will not die of formation today
As I earlier predicted:

Super Eagles to win 2:0 with a goal in either half:

I don't think Ighalo will score today but he will get an assist.

I predict goals coming from Musa and Ndidi (a header via set piece).

grin cheesy

to be honest this super eagles team was more star studded and their deliveries so on point compare to Rohr's team....

offensively i will give it to them
Their offense was a beauty to watch. They were just unlucky not to score more goals

I have never been impressed with Collins. The rave about him, is bkus he came when we were in a dire need of a left back and like u rightly said, he is left footed, nothing special . A right footed Aina is a very big upgrade on Collins.
If he bleeps up today, he is in for a long thing. cheesy

A lot of eyes will also be on him

Oga be specific. u started with the 1994, 1998 and 2000 team and now u extend it to 2004. 1994-2004 is 10 years. Why did u jump to Rohr 's team of 2016?
What happened to Keshi and Amodu team of 2005-2015?
If u are trying to say Rohr's team hasn't archived anything in comparison to the team of 1994-2004, then be fair my giving Rohr 7 more years....
Our football has regressed. The NFF was in ruins during that time period even till today. Pinnick is just doing his best to be diplomatic.

As it is now, would you give Rohr seven more years?

2013 Afcon in their land huh Baba stay one place....support either Nigeria or southi but not the 2 together....

And pls don't bring their league into the matter, it's always been finer than our own, besides how many times have they won the CAF champions league in the past 10 years? Once....
Did I mention the 2013 team?

After 2013, has our football not regressed?

And If I support SA and SE together, I don't see how it is your business bro tongue

What exactly did the team of 1994-1998 and 2000 achieve that the team from 2000 till date hasn't achieve?

Kindly enlighten me abeg
I put team 2000 and 1998 in parentheses because they are better than the team of 2004. Not because they are worse

Understand me please. The achievements of the team from 1994-2004 dwarves the achievement of the team from 2016 (when Rohr took over)

Although, the team of now is still in contention to enter the Semi-final and I believe they would do so, yet they have not won anything. No medal (not even the bronze) but they are getting there

I'm damn tired of the "they know his weakness bullcra.p " you people are tryna play today huh

Please what's the weaknesshuh

How many times have we suffered with the weaknesshuh

Is he the only player in out team with a weakness??

And if indeed he's truly got a weakness like y'all making it to be, don't you think the coaches,GK trainer have some kind of counter to the weakness....

I'm not surprised if it's coming from the southi fans, well what do you expect, if I was a zuluman I would say the same, but coming from you that's crap....come to think of it, what's stopping the pirates or whatever supporters to get a Good goalkeeper, is the club so broke to afford one or there is really no better Goal keeper in the whole of South Africa to bench Akpeyi huh
We have heard. I had replied you on this earlier

We benching Akpeyi is a sensible precaution and at the same time, Akpeyi sharing some info on the weaknesses of SA players would give us a double advantage. Simple. No need for quarrel

"Our football has regressed while theirs have improved"
Yes and I stand by that. Theirs have improved no doubt and that's true when you look at their league and the recent head to head against us

I didn't say that they have improved to a point where they are better than us. Please understand.

We have dominated them for several years while their favorable results against us is recent. That doesn't make them better than us.

But the truth is our football has regressed. When you compare the team of 2004 and now (not even 2000 or 1994 or even 1998).

Your depth of insight, understanding and wealth of football knowledge is startling indeed you are an icon.

Our two best Midfielder arguably in the AFCON play in abyss of the Championship, Mikel and Etebo. What a wonderful abyss it must be.

Please we need to encourage more of our players to come to this Abyss as it does a world of good for thier careers it seems . I know even Onazi tried to leave Turkey to get here but it sadly didn't work.
Wrong

Our two best Midfielders currently in this AFCON are Ndidi and Etebo, not Mikel. Mikel has been having a poor tournament so far

It's not that l think that Mikel is greatest but Iwobi doesn't inspire enough confidence.

If Mikel can turn back the clock and play at 80% of his known abilities, l will prefer him to Iwobi. Then when Mikel is exhausted we bring in Iwobi if things go to plan.

It's making best use of what we have.
There is no guarantee that he would magically do that in today's game. It will be a huge gamble

From beginning to end.

And that's not true.

Omeruo had a routine long ball directly in his pathway the Cameroon striker was in front of him, he then mistimed his header and what was elementary defending became a big gaff. He got bullied and lost the ball.

Aina rightly so anticipated that it was a ball that Omeruo should deal with very comfortably. However he did not, and Aina had to backtrack and try and salvage the situation from Omeruo big gaff.

That's why he nearly conceded the penalty in his attempt to tackle the Cameroon forward player.

The diction you implied that Aina always that means continously looses concentration. And as a result Awaziem is much better than him.

Can you give several incidents because you have not given one yet. Or remain negatively biased and prejudiced as you have not substantiated your position just shown your shameless bigotry.
Yore right.

While people blame aina for that goal, I blame Omeruo for not winning that Ariel battle. Truth is, I've seen Omeruo win tougher battles than that.

I think Amunike's allegations are bogus and fed by negative bias against Nigerians rather than facts

If you read the writers allegations it was merely hearsay but since he is Nigerian and failed he must have cheated
That's why I said there is need for investigations

If their FA fired him based on allegations alone, then it means they just needed a scapegoat to blame for their early exit

Our best formation of things go to plan for me is the 3-5-2

The three man defence of Omeruo - Balogun - Ekong

Two wing backs of Simon and Aina

Midfield trio of Etebo Ndidi and Mikel furthest forward.

From three of Chukwueze - Ighalo - Musa

Chukwueze will have to quickly learn team formation discipline, team play and END PRODUCT to support your other forward players.

Etebo and Ndidi have diesel engines they can run and cover ground all day to support the much slower Mikel who has to bring his A game as the Odogu.

Wing backs should attack when possible but keep thier shape and not be drawn in by the intricate midfield play of SA.

Ighalo is our Drogba, Musa and Chukwueze better learn how to cross with accuracy.

My prediction 3-1 to the SE.

However if things get tricky we can take off Mikel bring on Onuachu to combine with Ighalo and let's go dogs of war police game and get physical in a 4-4-2 formation.

May not be pretty but l don't mind winning UGLY.
Why are some of you bent on starting Mikel.

Someone who just came back from injury and may not be fully fit. Someone who has shown how much he has regressed. Why na huh

We didn't really miss him in our last game. Pet him come of the bench for now please

My biggest fear going into the game vs SA is our error-prone defence and goal keeper.

I think Ndidi and Etebo need to up their game and provide solid cover for the defence. I think Ndidi should permanently sit deep and not go forward.

Something tells me Musa will be our joker today. He has shown it before. I believe he can rise to the occasion again today.

I think Nigeria thrives better in games like this.
Chai, how time flies.

Back then, SA was like moi moi to us. There was no apprehension whenever we wanted to face them. Now, the reverse is the case.

Our football has regressed while theirs have improved sad

However, I'm banking on the boys to get the job done today
