This was your question and I want to know what you are arguing? Are you saying teams do not play offensively or are you asking if teams do not use inverted wingers. So what are you saying because the question is not clear.

I hope you realize this isn't club football, where you have all the time in the world to try new things

That is why I have been critical of us moving at a snail pace for years under Rohr in developing the team. As long as we stick to conservative systems to win games we will not grow in any way.

allegations against amuneke in tanzania

Hi Guys, let me declare interest on this issue,Iam a Tanzanian and I want to clarify few issues on your bogus fellow countryman called Amunike.
It is true that we are not a powerful nation when it comes to soccer but we have decent players and It is true that the last time we made it to AFCOn was 39 years ago
On paper it looks as if Amunike is the messiah who helped Tanzania to qualify after 39 years(we all know Uganda did us a favor and allowed us to clobber them 3-0)
We noticed Amunike's flaws when we played Lesotho, his team selection was mediocre,he left out good players claiming they are Insubordinate,he hates players from the two big and popular clubs (Simba and Yanga)he ended up picking half baked players,we lost 1-0 to lesotho and had to wait until the last match for Ugandans who were already qualified to let us put three goals in the back of their nets.
Fast foward to June in cairo, Amunike was on it again .We were leading kenya 2-1 at half time and how he spent the 10 minutes in the dressing room is still puzzling the Tanzania's fans
**HE YELLED AT SENIOR PLAYERS calling them names claiming they play like women, one of them the center half Kelvin Yondan started crying the mood changed,we ended up loosing 3-2 to kenya, that was the only game we were atleast able to win because winning against senegal and Algeria was almost impossible but we lost because of the IGBO man EGO.
***HIS AGENT(an arab guy)was overheard and allegedly recorded before the game against Algeria that he wanted Tanzania to loose by a very big margin,we ended up loosing 3-0(PLEASE TELL ME IF THAT IS NOT MATCH FIXING)we all knew Algeria was going to win that match but his agent wanted us to loose by big margin...may be 10-0 may be 15-0 . who knows?

**** A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT CLAIMED TO BE TOLD BY NIGERIAN FA CHIEF THAT AMUNIKE IS NOT A GOOD COACH.
MP Juma nkamia a well renowned sport figure in Tanzania had a chitchat with a Nigerian FA chief in cairo and according to him the FA chief was suprised why Tanzania picked Amunike as a coach calling him a BROKER/MIDDLEMAN and insisted that the Tanzania football federation should have consulted him before hiring Amunike
****AMUNIKE LEFT TANZANIA AS VERY UNPOPULAR AMONG PLAYERS AND FANS,we will not miss him at all,we are still going after the FA bosses who hired him because his CV as a coach is bogus, more heads have to roll
Bye bye Amunike, bye felicia, do not come back.

First of all, there is a lot of competition for quality coaches amongst clubs and we are to deal with lots of leftovers in club football. Although there is a rising trend of invention in the game.

One of the creative minds who tinkers with his formations to enhance fluidity is Roberto Martinez of Belgium. Been a fan of his since his day's at Swansea.

You can read this article to refresh your mind.

With flashes of genius and kamikaze bravery, Roberto Martinez is one of the game's most entertaining coaches

Watching the opening 45 minutes recalled Pep Guardiola's famous description of formations as simply "telephone numbers": empty demarcations that misunderstand the fluidity of top-level football.

Nominally this was a 4-3-3 from Belgium, with Nacer Chadli in central midfield, Romelu Lukaku as a right winger, and Kevin de Bruyne a false nine. Already, having dramatically abandoned the 3-4-3 shape Belgium had been working on for years, Martinez was taking a huge risk.

The recording allegation needs to be thoroughly investigated.

Was the said agent talking to Amunike?

Was that statement made in banter with reference to healthy competition? or was it made to the coach as a request/order?

So many questions

The writer might feel he is spending time painting Amunike bad but all I see is sabotage. What concerns an NFF top man with why a country hired Amunike? Did it occur to the writer that Amunike was yelling because he felt the team was throwing the game away?

Shows elements of why our coaches do not excel at home. There is a clear case of sabotage like how Amunike's team was starved allowances all through camping.

As I said before, Tanzania's loss, not Amunike.

- Source please. The reason I heard Nacho didn't play CHAN was because he left to complete his move to City.
- Odemwingie wasn't in "top form". He was just ok and I think that was around the time he started beefing with Steve Clarke after his failed move to QPR. He scored only 5 goals that season(12/13.)
Martins should've played but we had Emenike in form and like I said - he didn't play well when he got the chance and wasn't actually in form at Kazan before AFCON
- Yobo got injured and Oboabona and Omeruo usurped his position and rightly so as at that time. When he dropped Yobo for Confed cup - he said Yobo would make the WC and eventually break the appearance record.
- Aluko deserved to go to WC.
Igiebor was given an opportunity but he didn't play well at AFCON and Keshi eventually found a winning midfield formula in Mikel - Onazi - Mba

Odemwigie was in top form. He scored the 5 goals with 3 assists before the AFCON. Remember, he did that as a winger. The beef was after the AFCON.

Martins received pay cut in other to join Levante prior to the AFCON. And right after he joined he scored 6 goals with assists in the La Liga prior to the AFCON. In addition, he scored another two goals in Europa League to advance Levante to the round of 16th. It was also prior to the AFCON.

A return to RB Leipzig for Everton winger Ademola Lookman is again being mooted.

RBL have Lookman under consideration as they seek an extra winger signing this summer, says Kicker.

The midfielder had a successful past loan stint with RBL and has remained a target for the Germans.

RBL sports director Markus Krosche has been told Everton would only consider a straight sale for Lookman, with a starting price of €20m.

Krosche is seeking a new winger after losing Bruma to PSV Eindhoven and seeing new signing Hannes Wolf suffer a preseason injury.

Its hard to take you serious, more so when it seems you scoured hard to find something that's not perfected.

He had 4 goals and 3 assists in 15 games by 26 Dec 2012. Not bad for a RW, but not on super form.
Martins was indeed in good form prior to AFCON(6 goals in 13) but like I said he didn't fit into how he wanted to play.
Osaze also had personal issues with Keshi so it's sort of understandable he got dropped.
We still had Emenike, Uche, Ideye, Vic Moses and Musa to fill in at CF and WF roles.

If you spend more time being relaxed than trying to be offensive, you will gain from the argument. The question was, how can we cope with being offensive when our midfield gets over run in past games?

I said he should look up inverted full backs. I already pointed out that under Rohr, we have not grown tactically, so I do not expect an overnight pushing of the team.

I was just suggesting when we are on the offensive, a full back can tuck into the midfield to help increase the number in midfield and prevent us being overrun. So talking UNL, World Cup shows you are devoid of the argument.

Those teams you are talking about have capable midfielders, so the point I am raising is not respect to that. We are talking of how we can solve our leaking midfield if we want to attack.

Finito.
