Baaballiyo: WAS FULANI HISTORY TRULY BLOODY?
"War makes states and states make war" according to Charles Tilly. State formation is necessarily bloody because one entity has to prove its sovereignty over a certain territory. So the formation of the Sokoto Caliphate was bloody, and so were the establishment of any political realm" (GorkoSusaay)
The Fulani ethnic group is the most demonized ethnic group in Nigeria, especially by Nigerians of Southern extraction. Some South-westerners and most South-Easterners believe Fulani to be a bloody or born to rule race, may be due to the frequent clashes between the Fulani herdsmen and Farmers on one hand and the history of the Fulani conquests of the 18-19th centuries on the other.
Throughout their history the Fulani fought wars and conquered territories not because they are blood tasty or wanted to rule and dominate, but because they wanted to bring a positive change in their societies; and this they did after they came to power. They brought peace and developments especially in terms of education and economy to their domains. A former colonial officer in Nigeria Mr. H. A. S. Johnston has the following to say about the Fulani rule in Northern Nigeria in his book titled “The Fulani Empire of Sokoto” (Quote)
The Fulani gave Hausaland a greater measure of peace than it had ever previously enjoyed. To this can be added the fact that their government was based on principle and not on mere power. No man, however mighty, was above the law. No man, however lowly, was beneath it. Every man had rights that the law defined and protected. In a continent still largely dominated by war and anarchy, the gift of peace and justice was no small thing.
Secondly, it can be said that the structure of society was well integrated and not inhumane. At the base of the pyramid, it is true, there were the slaves, but even they had their rights. In fact, they were generally better treated than slaves in other parts of the world including the United States, and for the most part they led tolerable lives. Next came the peasants. As they were free men, enjoying rights in the soil of which no one could deprive them, their standing was higher than that of the serfs who were still to be found in many parts of Europe. Then there were the craftsmen and traders of the towns: they were sufficiently numerous and affluent to constitute the beginnings of that most important component in any society — a middle class. Finally, there was the ruling caste. Its members, though authoritarian, were generally just and beneficent. In short, though tyranny and injustice were not unknown, they were probably less prevalent than in many countries of Europe and the Americas which had greater pretensions to being considered as civilized.
Thirdly, it can be said that the society of the Empire was a reasonably cultivated one. Trade and agriculture flourished so that the majority of the people were able to enjoy some simple luxuries over and above the bare necessities of life. Similarly, education was not the monopoly of the ruling caste but was common among the middle class and not unknown among the peasantry and slaves. Among all classes, moreover, scholars and divines were held in the very highest esteem. Finally, there was the all-pervading influence of religion. Its disciplines were the cement of society, its teachings gave purpose and dignity to life, and its consolations reconciled men to the injustices of an imperfect world.
The civilization of the Sokoto Empire was the product of the union between two very different strains, the Fulani and the Hausa. The contribution of the Fulani lay mainly in the arts of government, scholarship, and religion, that of the Hausas in the fields of agriculture, industry, and trade. The two peoples were complementary to one another and between them they evolved a society which was probably more advanced than any other hitherto produced in black Africa. At the turn of the century that society was engulfed by world forces that were too strong for it. Now, fittingly enough, it has been reborn as the nucleus of a new and powerful nation. (End of Quote)
Apart from the Fulani (Tukolur) empire of Alh. Umar Tall, all other Fulani empires from the Imamates of Fuuta Jalon (in present day Guinea) and Fuuta Tooro (in present day Senegal) to the empires of Sokoto and Maasina (in present day Mali) were a product of revolutions carried out in order to topple a bad leadership and established a good one and to a large extent they succeeded in creating a good leadership after the success of their struggles as examplified in the above quote.
By nature Fulani are brilliant and intelligent like most west-African tribes but they tend to have more zeal and the will to execute their plans and face obstacles collectively than most tribes. The Fulani love peace more than anything that is why they tend to be very shy and mostly live away from cities but they are never afraid to fight if the need arises. That is why in most of their conflicts they rarely were the ones “that fire the first shot”. But it’s true their retaliation was always complete and thorough.
In conclusion, saying that, the Fulani history is bloody is but an injustice to them, because they fought and established empires at a time when fighting was the order of the day not only in West-Africa but in most parts of the world. Around that time the Oyo Empire was fighting to expand its influence likewise the Kanembu Empire though by that time the once powerful Jukun (kwararafa) Kingdom’s power has waned. So just because the Fulani fought with more zeal and singleness of purpose, conquered more lands in different locations (within West-Africa) than other Nigerian tribes; that does not make their history bloody, It meant they were the most wide spread, shrewder, more tactical, more organized and more ambitious tribe of that Era.
So if Fulani history is truly bloody then most Nigerian tribes history is also bloody, that would be the case for all Nigerian tribes that once established Kingdoms or empires for themselves within or without Nigeria of today.
Yours sincerely. Is this a joke? What positive change does a cattle rearer with no regard for human life want to bring. You better apply sense and sympathy if you want to praise your "demonic" tribe. mtcheww |

Fulaman198: To the Fulani, cattle is Salary, it is what is used sometimes to create butter from the milk, yogurt, so cattle is viewed as an important part of financial freedom for nomadic Fulani. When someone kills your cattle, it's the equivalent of someone stealing your money, property or other prized belongings. I'm not justifying attacks on anyone, however, attacks on Fulani people are also made.
In essence, the victim mentality of African people needs to end. Look at what's happening in Libya, Southern Nigerians are actually helping sell other Nigerians to Mean-spirited Arab bigots. Whenever Africans are hurt or extorted by Europeans or someone else, many view it as ok when it is not, but be it another African group of people, hypocritical hats come on immediately. Because cattle is salary means they should kill people anyhow Common cattle!!! And the mean spirited Arabs you mentioned, are they not the mentors/fathers of your people I spit on your Logic. |

To be fair and unbias, inclusion of hijab to one's dressing does not depress productivity nor deteriorate intellectual output. The basic reason for such law in some institution is just to ensure uniformity.

" added 31 REASONS WHY BUHARI DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR VOTE
In my books, Buhari is a pretentious anti-corruption fighter. The trajectory of a man's journey in public life matters. For the following reasons I cannot vote for Buhari:
1. He is an oligarch who does not believe in equality before the law. The way he jailed Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose Ali, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation and allowed Awwal Ibrahim, the then Niger State governor, who was arrested in Heathrow Airport in London with 14 million pounds sterling and several millions of Niara and dollars to be put under house arrest is my evidence. He also allowed Shehu Kangiwa, Sokoto State Governor who conducted and supervised the famous Bakolori Massacre of poor peasant farmers who's land were appropriated without compesation to remain under house arrest.
1(a) Ayo Ojewumi became blind as a result of his imprisonment over false charges and died shortly after.
1 (b) Prof. Ambrose Alli also became blind as a result of this false imprisonment. When he died, he had only one undeveloped plot of land to his name.
1© Pa Adekule Ajasin was never the same after his eventual release and remained sickly for the rest of his life. Whe he died, he never had any property anywhere in the world except the one he had built from his sweat as long term teacher and school principal in Owo township.
2. He put in place a retroactive law that killed three men, innocent men in my book, by public execution.
3. He jailed Ndukar Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the Guardian on stories that were factually true under Decree 4. He had told the Nigerian journalists then that it did not matter whether the story reported was true or not, if his regime did not like it, the writer would go to jail.
4. He supervised the smuggling of 53 suitcases filled with cash through the MMA against the protests of General Tunde Idiagbon and ironically, Abubakar Atiku, the then Director General of the Customs who later became the Vice President and a compromised politician himself. This smuggling of the suit cases was supervised by his ADC, Col. Mustapha Jokolo.
5. He jailed Fela Anikulapo -Kuti on trumped up charges under an emergency law which prompted the sentencing judge to confess that he was ordered to do so and apologised to the late musician. It was Buhari's administration that said it has "decided to deal with this Fela problem once and for all."
6. He convinced all the northern political leaders against allowing the National Identity Card program because according to him, this would unravel the myth of a Northern population majority
7. He is an Islamic fundamentalist, the Bin Laden of Nigeria, who told his northern followers never to vote for anyone who was not a muslim.
8. He is a coup plotter.
9. He has never been able to account to Nigerians what he did with the 20 billion Naira of the Petroleum Trust Fund of which he was the chairman under Sani Abacha. 9(a) He has not been able to point to any project that he prosecuted outside the Northern Nigeria with the so-caled trust fund.
10. He was in full support of all the atrocities of Sani Abacha against the Nigerian people. There is no single record of his criticism of Sani Abacha during those dark days when Nigeria was on precipice. It shows that he is a patriot of convenience and as such unfit to lead the country.
11. Buhari, as part of his tribalistic practices placed President Shagari under house arrest inside a palatial mansion in Ikoyi while he locked up Shagari's Vice, Alex Ekwueme in Kirikiri Prison. Shagari is Hausa/Fulani like him while Alex Ekwueme is an Igboman.
12. Ikemba Emeka Ojukwu, another Igboman who returned from 13years exile just a little over a year then was as well locked up in KiriKiri Prison by mean-hearted Buhari.Up till today we are not told what was Emeka's offence.
13. Busari Adelakun died of ulcer because Buhari refused him to be taken out of prison for immediate medical attention. The then Governor of Ogun State,Bisi Onabanjo suffered similar fate which we were told led to his untimely death.
14. Buhari ransacked the house of our late sage, Obafemi Awolowo and confisticated his International passport. Which civilized democratic society would elect the likes of Buhari as President, the same individual who overthrew an elected President? Never!
15. Plus Buhari having Sam Mbakwe in jail, went for one of Mbakwe's wives. He established himself again for what he was/is letting Mbakwe receive in jailhouse news of the death of another of Mbakwe's two wives. One (I can't remember his name now; Odenigbo?) also died in jail.
16. Buhari's henchman and sponsor, CPC governorship candidate for Kano State, is Mohammed Abacha, the same person that had/ran a personal killing squad, coordinated the killing of Kudirat Abiola & attempted to kill Ibru; and also stashed money in underground tanks, all less than 13 years ago, Nigerians have very short selective memory. Shame
?17. Buhari discriminated against persons from other ethnic groups/faiths; and that as PTF Chairman, he employed an overwhelming number of Fulani/Hausa/Moslem people at the detriment of other groups and concentrated PTF projects in the Nort, h. If in doubt read El Rufai's testimony where he wrote about Katsina boys who used the money they made at PTF to bankroll Yar'Adua's election in 1999.
18. Buhari is unforgiving. When he "took over" by coup in 1983, he even remembered an article written a very very long time ago by Bisi Onabanjo ('The Mallams are coming') and a later one in which Onabanjo wrote that people should watch out for that "gangly officer from the north" after Buhari gave a no holds barred speech at some Army functions where he was reported to be very openly pro Fulani and pro Islam to the exclusive of all else and also talked about termination of democratic rule. For that, Onabanjo got one of the harshest jail terms and treatments.
19. Buhari intolerance is worse than Obasanjo's. When he was adopted as the ANPP's candidate on the night of the party's Primaries without prior warning to the other candidates (and a few of them protested), Buhari got up and made a speech that those people must be disciplined. I subsequently saw him on BBC's "hard talk" and he frightened me and the interviewer with his archaic and fundamentalist intolerant views. His understanding and articulation is very much in doubt.
20. The evil genius, IBB and his crew similarly ran rings around Buhari. On the 10th anniversary of Abacha's demise, Buhari said that Abacha stole nothing from Nigeria! Despite millions of Dollars recovered from banks around the world and the Abacha family signing a formal agreement to return over $1 billion dollars, Buhari still said that Abacha's stealing remains an unproved allegation!!!! Why? Because Abacha set Buhari up like an emperor and let him use oil money from the Niger Delta to develop the North without supervision or questions.
21. Buhari snubbed the same Nigerians he now wants their votes by refusing to appear before Justice Oputa Truth and Reconciliation Panel. Despite the fact that Buhari knew how inportant reconciliation is to the stability of democracy. Buhari has never apologised at anytime.
22. Buhari executed Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh (26). To put it quite plainly, one of those three – Ogedengbe - was executed for a crime that did not carry a capital forfeit at the time it was committed. and At the time Ogedengbe committed the crime it did not carry that punishment. If we must live as civilised citizens we must go by the rules. Article 11.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights reads: "No one shall be held guilty of any penal offence on account of any act or omission WHICH DID NOT CONSTITUTE A PENAL OFFENCE, under national or international law at the time when it was committed. NOR SHALL A HEAVIER PUNISHMENT BE IMPOSED THAN THE ONE THAT WAS APPLICABLE AT THE TIME THE PENAL OFFENCE WAS COMMITTED. Killing people with retroactive laws is not the civilised thing to do - and for as long as we will have people who refuse to see the truth only because their heroes are inching to rule when they have not purged themselves we will continue to wallow in misery. 23. Let’s informed Buhari that Lateef Jakande’s $60 million metro rail project for Lagos, which he cancelled immediately after he over-threw the Second Republic, has now accumulated a debt profile of over $3 billion for Lagos State, making the state the most indebted state to Paris Club in the federation. 24 let also remind Buhari that Gbolahan Mudashiru, his Military Administrator for Lagos State, alerted him on the clause in the contract agreement that would yoke the state to this debt, if the contract was cancelled unilaterally, and that he replied Mudashiru, that he didn’t care a damn.Though the fund for the execution of that project which would have given the people of Lagos an intra-city light train transport system would not have come from Buhari’s Supreme Military Council, General Buhari, as Military Head of State, cancelled this wonderful project of the state government, with ethnicity on his mind. 25. Let us again tell him that his action of jailing Dr Alex Ekwueme, then Nigeria’s vice president, from Anambra, and keeping President Shehu Shagari, from Sokoto State in a house arrest in Ikoyi was also ethnically fired. 26. So also was the shorter end of the stick he handed the South, as chair of Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), in the execution of projects. 27. Shagari’s regime (1979-1983), incurred Buhari’s wrath when it decided to investigate the US$2.8 billion that disappeared from the Midland Bank, London account of the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation, (NNPC), during General Obasanjo’s era as military head of state that preceded Shagari’s. Dr. Olusola Saraki, Turaki of Ilorin, was the majority party leader of the Senate at the time and he headed the Senate Committee set up to trace the stolen money after some three years of clamour for such an investigation by members of the civil society. The money was traced to the Midland Bank London branch fixed account of Buhari, Obasanjo’s appointee as military head of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company. The Committee’s report was presented to the Senate during the tail end of Shagari’s regime in 1983, so the House decided to deal with the matter soon after the 1983 general elections. 28. He locked up without trial, politicians and critics including Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, notorious for clamouring for the exposure of the oil money rogue. Vera Ifudu, who was an NTA reporter then, was sacked through his prodding as military ruler, for reporting what Dr. Olusola Saraki had told her in an interview about how the missing money was traced to Buhari’s account at a Midland Bank London branch. Vera eventually won her case of wrongful dismissal in court against the NTA and was financially compensated. 29. Abacha rehabilitated Buhari with the chairmanship of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) before he (Abacha) died in 1998. When Obasanjo returned to power in May 1999 as civilian president, he found that over 2.5 billion naira had not been properly accounted for in the PTF and that there was not much on the ground to show for the colossal expenditure the agency was claiming. On the day Obasanjo announced the scrapping of the PTF, a non-staff brother-in-law of the boss, allegedly serving as his conduit on some PTF projects, died suddenly from what appeared to be heart failure. 30. Buhari’s conflicting statements on the money laundering charges involving his ADC in 1984 on the 53 suit cases saga, has indicted him. 31. He should reveal to us his health status… Buhari at 69 yr old is a clear liability on Nigeria and Nigerians is Nigeria a health insurance scheme?
If Nigerians reward dangerous, insensitive, dishonest, mean, cruel, partial, egoistic, religious, fundamendalist, conscienceless human beings like MOHAMMADU BUHARI with the presidency of Nigeria with his kind of track record, then why do we still wonder why Nigeria has not and will not make it?
I can not in good conscience support Buhari's candidacy on the above grounds. I wish we have intelligent people who know what democracy means. I wish we have civilized minds. However, I am 100 percent sure that Buhari will never again rule Nigeria. It is clear that apart from the states of the North-West and North-East, his Congress for Political Change (CPC) would hardly earn 25 per cent of the total number of votes cast in the remaining states of the federation. By implication, two zones just cannot earn Buhari the presidency he is looking for, no matter their voting strength. If only Nigerians had seen and understood this prior to 2015 election. |

Okay, so is the kinetic energy of an electron from an electron gun equivalent to the integral/decimal multiple of its intrinsic potential energy (electric field), even when the potential difference that causes it to accelerate is external to the the electron? MY BAD ,I MEANT PHYSICAL PROPERTY |
Science/Technology › Re: Postulates About Energy by darkhorizon(op): 4:46pm On Nov 09, 2017 |
AgentOfAllah: Okay, I just saw your assumptions, and I'm really eager to see how you arrived at your formulation.
Now I have more questions: (1) If, in your first assumption, energy is not conserved, how were you able to derive E=hv? This is essentially energy based on the intrinsic properties of a photon. Since the frequency of any given photon is constant, this energy is conserved, hence, photons never experience red/blueshift, unless the observer's frame of reference is non-static. Even then, this is not due to change in frequency, but due to change in relative velocity.
(2) You mentioned that the total energy is a function of position and time in your second assumption. I don't fully understand what you mean. Isn't total energy an integration over all position and time? I mean, that's the meaning of total, right? If your energy varies with position and time it is not total energy anymore, it is just energy or power fluence/density.
(3) You mentioned that potential energy is constant everywhere. I am not sure what potential energy is in your case, since it is in a degenerate state with kinetic energy. In this state, how can you tell that it is constant? I mean, you can't even separate it from kinetic, right? For me to arrive at my result with a non-conservative force, I had to postulate two new physical constants ( one time dependent the other time and position dependent). From the time dependent I was able to derive an expression for the frequency and for the time and position dependent I was able to get momentum. The rest from there is basic substitution. The total energy is indeed an integration over all position and time. I didn't time derivative of energy but rather the above as explained. You can't separate it from kinetic energy, but like I said earlier the potential energy is in form of ground state ( an intrinsic property ) subsequent increase is just an numeral (integral or decimal) multiple of the ground state potential(This is covered in the hypothesis I mentioned on Potential energy). |
Science/Technology › Re: Postulates About Energy by darkhorizon(op): 4:26pm On Nov 09, 2017 |
AgentOfAllah: I hope you've prepared your formulation for publication. I would really like to see how you arrived at this. Please share if already published. If not, I can wait.
Alright, I have a question about your formulation. You say B is a constant of integration, but its unit is a measure of energy, so I guess it should have a physical meaning.
In the standard formulations, including the famous Schrodinger equation, potential energy is usually some form of ground state energy that is an intrinsic property of the system in question. In condensed matter, it can be the time invariant sum of the energy in all existing particles or states in the matter under investigation, for instance. So how would you interpret the physical meaning of your constant? And, is it a universal constant like the speed of light, or is it conditional on specific parameters? No not yet published, still in the oven. The Potential energy is an intrinsic property of the system ( ground state ), I have an hypothesis for the ground state potential tho. The constant B is more of like an hidden variable which is not inculcated in previous energy equations, when I solved for E = hυ B was equal to zero( B = 0) which i think the general forms of energy we know of B is also equal to zero. So , I wonder what the total energy would be if B<0 or B>0 , I postulate that B<0 may lead to exotic energy(negative energy) but B> 0 I am quite not sure of for now. |

Although, it is quite difficult to find the funding as an independent. In your case, though, unless you're doing high speed computing, I don't think funding is much of an issue.
Not very sure about cold fusion, largely because of my own ignorance (I apologise). Maybe you can do a "How it works series on it sometime". As for quantum computing, it is definitely an imminent phenomenon whose impact would be far reaching, so that's a great choice of interest.
Question: (1) As in independent, have you ever had to communicate your findings to the research community, like say in journal or conference papers. If so, how challenging is it to get reviewers/editors interested in your work? I am kind of a newbie researcher, so I will not be able to answer your question to satisfaction unfortunately. |
Science/Technology › Re: Postulates About Energy by darkhorizon(op): 12:38pm On Nov 09, 2017 |
AgentofAllah
From my independent research I have come to conclude that the Total Energy can also be described as E = 2T +B where (T is kinetic energy and B is constant of integration) this has quite worked in a few Quantum.systems I have used it for, I am hoping to expand its application.
Also from this result ( E = 2T + B ) I have been able to derive the Planck's energy law ( E = hf )devoid of previous known methods.
The Potential energy(unharvested kinetic energy) I got is equal to the actual Kinetic Energy, hence 2T.
I made three fundamental assumptions to arrive this ;
(1) The Total Energy is non-conservative hence it changes with time ( time derivative exists ) (2). The Total Energy is a function of both position and time ( hence it changes with increase in both ) (3). The Potential energy is constant everywhere.
According to assumption (3) potential wells in QM make the perfect example to test the theory on. |

Hi Guys, I have been thinking for a while now on which postulates of Energy is really correct. Is it that Total Energy is really conservative or non-conservative Is potential energy real Or is it just an unharvested form of Kinetic Energy which is equal to the Kinetic Energy in motion. Can the Total Energy really be described just by;. E = T + U. alone. All that we do know about Energy starting from the classical view to a Quantum view, are they correct? ourchoice: We need to abolish state of origin in Nigeria and look at the possibility of making it compulsory for every Nigerian parent to give their child 3 names which must include names from the 3 major Nigerian tribes; Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba.
Also, we need to look at the possibility of making Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba languages a compulsory subject in all Nigerian schools starting from primary school to foster unity and curb tribal division.
Restructuring option 1 suggestion from me: Nigeria will be restructured using the existing 6 geopolitical zones:
Northeast Northwest North central Southeast Southwest Southsouth
Each geopolitical zone will have a prime minister, and then we will have a federal government council to be made up of the prime ministers from each geopolitical zone. They will rule for 6 years single term and each prime minister will be the head of federal government for 12 months.....it will rotated among them for the 6 years. The head of FG will act as the Nigerian president for the 12 months.
Each state will keep 50% of their revenue from their state and return 50% to FG. Additionally, states with natural resources like crude oil, gold, tin, etc will be required to remit another 10% of the revenue from their resources which will be used to help poor states with no mineral resources and low revenue so they can catch up developmentally.
Restructuring Option2 suggestion:
Presidential system remains as it is now.
Each state will manage their resources and keep 50% of revenue from their state and return 50% to FG.
Additionally, states with natural mineral resources like crude oil, gold, tin, etc will be required to remit another 10% of the revenue from their resources which will be used as support allocation to help poor states with no mineral resources and low revenue so they can catch up developmentally. Like this, all states and regions will develop at their own pace.
Each state will have their State Police for proper state policing.
The aim of restructuring will be to make governance in Nigeria much easier and to take it to the grassroots and not to enrich states with abundant mineral resources.
We really need a youth driven party to foster development in Nigeria now.
We have no other option. We need to start now to prepare ahead before Nigeria is destroyed further by the present and past politicians that have been ruining this nation and making our youths leave Nigeria in mass as if there is war Don't forget Yoruba Igbo and Hausa are not the only tribes in Nigeria. Instead State of Residence should be employed. Your Option 1 is similar to my idea of a restructured Nigeria, each zones will have a Premier. The Federal government will be made of a council of the Premiers (similar to UAE council of rulers). However, the head of the Federal government will be chosen by the Premiers, just like it is done in the Senate. Each Region / Geo political zone would be restructured in a way that long lost brothers if some regions would be reunited with their Kind e.g Majority of Kwara, Okun in Kogi etc... to be moved to the South West zone. Each Region has the right to choose a local Language as it's official Language. Each Region also has the Right to secede. Giving the FG 50% is too much, a little over 10% is OK. Also the idea of giving to other poor states would not fly, every Region is charged to look inward for Generation of Revenue. The FG duties would be reduced to majorly supervising the Foreign affairs, the Military, Census etc... Other functions of the FG would be minor, as the Regional government would have the power over virtually everything that is to do with the Region. Again, the Regional governments power is not absolute, as there will be Divisions in each Regions which will have a leader who will make up the council of Representatives, which will act as the Senate in each state/ Region. These check and balance system will go as well for the Division level, until it reaches the commoners/ masses/ citizens of the Region. |

EdoNation: [[s]quote author=darkhorizon post=61650450] Don't distort History, the Yorubas migrated from the Middle-East. And the ruling dynasty in Benin is an off-shoot of a Yoruba Prince, then King, Oranmiyan.

Stop talking rubbish.... The Oduduwa you all worship came from Benin.............. Yoruba has never been spoken in Edo in any way instead it is the Yoruba's in ondo and ekiti that speak a form of ediod language...... Use your sense it is free I have noticed that people of Benin descent on this forum are quite arrogant, coupled with ignorance when talking about the History of their people. Young woman, Oduduwa is not from Benin. The Benin even claim the Yoruba language was/is theirs, these are incorrect, coupled with a lot of exaggeration passing on as History from the Benin. And do your research well, Yoruba language was the official palace language of Benin. Oba Akenzua changed this in the 1930's. And if you want to reply me next time, please do so politely. |
