PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan Unable To Read Own Speech by darkman200: 11:43pm On Jan 28, 2011
cap28:
How many nigerian housewives make public speeches and parade themselves in front of tv cameras talking about women's issues?

Please compare like with like.  Michelle Obama is a first lady and the american electorate have certain expectations of a woman in such a position - like being able to speak and read english coherently, this is the same way we expect that Patience - the wife of nigeria's president should also be able to speak and read english coherently

She has placed herself in the limelight and on to the world stage, in doing so she has given up all rights to her privacy.
Do you really think that the majority of US public actually admire Michelle Obama? Outside the black population, polished and smart as Michelle is, she is just  another black  monkey. I'd rather Patience Jonathan speak fluent Okrika. I'd rather have a nationalistic and patriotic president who cannot speak a word in english language but has the passion and drive to lead and break the mental bondage that we have put ourselves in,  the need to blend and conform. No matter how good your english is,  you will never be one of them, so why the pretense? And some of the smartest scientists and politicians in the world did not speak flawless english e.g Albert Eistein,  The Iranians, the Russians, the Israelis do not have to speak english before they blaze the trail in both technological and political grounds.

relax there my friend. my purpose of posting those pics is to serve one purpose, and only one purpose, to show all these naysayers that nigeria is a beautiful country to live in. all this doom and gloom from you guys is skewing the true picture of what nigeria really is. and that is a very vibrant country with numerous potential. all those people who are suffering in nigeria ? they need to carve out their own niche. stop waiting for someone else to do it for you. there are several villages in naija where they are crying that they dont have water and all their kids are literarily dying of thirst. whose fault is that ? well in all those villages, some teenagers from canada via the peace corp and NGO, went to those villages and dug a borehole and VOILAhuhhuh?? decades of thirst and dying fromt thirst was resolved in 30 minutes by a couple of teenagers from canada. so who really is to blame ? the people who are unresourceful or the govt ? see nigerians in nigeria are only using a minuscle portion of their brains and i can guarantee you that if these people used a nice chunk of their brains ? the thing that makes millions of white and chinese and other foreigners  troop into nigeria for on a daily basis ? they will eventually see those opportunities too. only then can nigeria be great. nigeria is a country that needs to be built from the ground up. not from the top to the bottom. people need to take responsibility for their lives. this is the internet age. just yesterday i posted a link on how to make a DIY solar panel by yourself. this will eliminate your light problems. you have to be resourceful to survive. nigerians as a whole are not resourceful people. we always like the easy way out. therein lies our problem. naija is a paradise waiting to explode. do your part. fill in the gap. make una siddon there dey collect worthless masters and phd for bragging rights

those pictures are not my reality. i am 'suffering' abroad like thousands of nigerian expatriate. so get it right now  grin
Why don't you simply lead by example? Look dude! i admire the passion you have for Nigeria,  but each time you attack people living abroad for not staying back in Nigeria, the point is lost. We are all praying for Nigeria so stop making it sound like we wish our country bad. Living in a nice house is not an indicator of good living, what about the health-care, colleges, security just to name a few (I remember trying to obtain my academic transcript from my Nigerian Alma Mater- It was hell, in the US- I simply logged on to the school web page and printed same). You graduate from a Nigerian University and your bachelors degree is worth crap even within Nigeria. Why did Shell Nigeria has to retrain Nigerian graduates by making then go through the Shell Intensive Training Program  in Warri? They told us Nigerian university education is unreliable, so they take the best of the best of the graduates and had to start re-training them all over- I went through the one year crashed training before starting work. So much confidence in the system huh?- You have been told in this forum many times, everyone has a reason for his choices, many of the so called comfortable guys in Nigeria are all eventually shipping themselves and their families out of the place, many of my colleagues from Shell Nigeria are scattered all over the world for whatever reason, i only know my reason for leaving and as much as i respect your passion, stop dissing others, it only belittles you and i sincerely think you are smarter than that. Now i won't say that about vistax1- that one is simply stoopid. Many people say things to brag but don't assume everyone does that or has the intention of doing that, what will bragging on NL do for me- I can't even find a girl on here after several attempts angry

When you rant about how things are bad in Nigeria, no one asks you to calm down, did anyone ask you to?

Bitter because we see them around all over the place but when they come online, they come to talk as kings and queens. Rubbish.
So there are no people in Nigeria that talk as kings and queens when they are not? people like you showcase your ignorance with what you type.

invisible!:
Your problem seems to be you are not making enough money and still think anyone will be envious of your broke azz. If you are comfortable you wouldnt be complaining about the few visitors you have over there. Where have brotherly love gone to? What of we in naija that have relatives living in our houses all year round?
When i see comments from retards like you , I feel grateful to Almighty God that am no longer in that crazy country. Yippee!!!- Go and get a day job dumbazz
TravelRe: Do You Regret Moving Abroad? by darkman200: 11:17pm On Nov 13, 2010
Most of the posts here are ridiculous, why won't people just mind their own business, live and let others live- i guess that's not in Naija nature huh? If i decide to live outside Nigeria, whose business is it? Most Nigerian based contributors on here are just envious of people living outside Nigeria. There are Nigerians in U.S that are struggling and there are some that are doing great just as it is in the home land, but i’d rather struggle in the U.S than struggle in Nigeria. And Mind you, there are actually some of us that are doing great whether we live in Nigeria or abroad, i live in the U.S and currently working for the same multinational company i worked for in Nigeria, i can do the same stuff i was able to do in Naija except that i live in a much more sane society, most of the friends i have are in similar situation as mine and many are doing way better, they are all well educated and have professional jobs, they are competitive and have the kind of intellectual and technological exposures that average Nigerian worker is not used to, so the folks i know have the competitive edge any day and anywhere over their Nigerian counterparts. If y'all so much hate abroad, why do you keep coming here to have your babies? why not stay back and spend your vacations in Nigeria, they have basically turned my house into something else, it's either they are coming to have babies or coming for vacation, if you are so comfortable with where you are, why not stay back and do all your stuff in Nigeria then i will agree that you guys are really as patriotic as you claim. Bunch of hypocrites!
RomanceRe: Why Are Girls Desperate To Get Married? by darkman200: 7:09pm On Nov 04, 2010
livedit:
Desperate to get married? No, not all women are desperate to get married.  There are many women who can hold their own down and stomp with the big dogs.  However, I can only speak for myself.  I'm about to take you to church on this. Marriage began with Adam and Eve and it's also in the ten commandments. I bet more men would opt to get married if people lived by the bible and did not fornicate or commit adultry. Just think, if we kept God's commandments, there wouldn't be all these diseases and chaos/pressure about sex.

Again, this is my opinion.
Are you married or single?

FamilyRe: How To Prevent Divorce - Things You Should Establish In Early Marriage by darkman200: 5:35am On Nov 02, 2010
It is simple, don't pretend to be what you are not. If we both know what we are getting into to begin with and we agreed to go ahead and get married then there are no surprises that can spring up in the future. Every other advice is theory.
