Does it mean that no teacher in this forum called in to ask questions during the live program when the NUT Chairman was on air? I tried tuning in from Bayelsa State where I am now but I couldn't get a clear signal. It still baffles me that nobody is talking about what they asked the NUT Chairman and what his response was. October 8th will determine my next line of action. As for now, NO PAY - NO WORK.

If you know any old teachers in your school whose salary account is Zenith Bank, please confirm from them whether they truly received three months salary arrears. This is only applicable to those LGAs who are still being owed salary arrears ranging from four to six months. Someone in Tai LGA informed one of my colleagues yesterday that old teachers that were transferred to their school whose salary account is Zenith Bank received three months salary arrears. I also received a call from someone in Eleme LGA today stating that he heard that those in Zenith Bank have received three months salary arrears. This kind of info needs to be confirmed by members of this forum whose salary account is Zenith Bank and are still being owed salary arrears. I believe that this forum is for sharing of vital information. When you are not informed, you are deformed. Thanks.

One of my colleagues just called me to ask if I have heard that those in zenith bank have received three months salary this morning. Can anyone in the house confirm if this is true?

Your colleague should please confirm the authenticity of his source before sharing because the anxiety for salary alert is more than this technical economic recession Nigeria is facing.

I've already made up my mind. I am not part of the slave mentality. We are the reasons why teachers are treated anyhow. Rivers State Wing of NUT is a sham. They are only interested in the rebate they receive every month when union dues is deducted from every teacher's salary. We are the ones to prove our point. Even the staff at the Zonal Offices of Senior Secondary Schools Board and UBE are also being owed. Ask yourself who will be happy coming to monitor teachers when they haven't also been paid. Our attitude is the reason why Buhari said that CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME. Teachers must change their mindset or they will keep on being treated like dirt. A clear conscience fears no accusation. Anybody that wants me to resume work should be kind enough to give me a soft loan. I can't use the little money that I'll use and feed myself and my family for transport to work. God forbid! I've never been a coward in my life before and I won't start being one now.

I called one of my colleagues in C.S.S. Deken in Gokana LGA today and he said that it was only very few staff that didn't resume today for the new academic session. I began to imagine where those who resumed today derived funds and the motivation to go to work. I've already made up my mind. No credit alert for my outstanding salaries .......... no resumption. God forbid that I and my family starve because I want to go to work. Those who their outstanding salaries have been cleared can resume. That's my own take.
