Zenith Bank had already credited salary accounts before the press release was seen last month.

Honestically:
Last month, there was a press release by the secretary to the state government (under the emergency rule), about the approval of payment of salaries by the Sole Admin, before the salaries were paid.
We haven't seen the press release yet, since that's the new pattern.

ECOBANK credit alert for January 2025 salary received four minutes ago with #3000 deduction.

Good morning noble colleagues. Does it mean that no Senior Secondary School teacher in this forum has collected their promotion letters? Why are we hoarding information that could save others unnecessary stress? Abi na only salary matters we go dey reason for here?

Every payday, Ecobank dey get small network challenge. I go soon clear my loan and change my salary account from Ecobank to any other bank wey dey give salary advance.

Seriously! The Zonal Accounts Supervisor in my LGA was insisting that he was asked to put us on GL 12 Step 6 and 7 respectively for those who were previously on GL 8 Step 3 and 4.

Na Senior Secondary Schools Board I dey and I never see any credit alert for September salary from Ecobank. I don even check with both Ecobank Mobile and Internet Banking.

The truth of the matter is that what the Zonal Accounts Supervisor gives to Principals to sign is a copy of the nominal roll/salary voucher of the previous month. That's what I learnt in school yesterday when we heard that it was old salary voucher that our Principal signed. We were told that once the new promotion salary is paid, Ministry of Finance will send a copy of the new salary voucher to the Accounts Department of our Board and they will in turn send a copy to the Zonal Accounts Supervisors to be signed by Principals. I hope this calms down some nerves.

Is it nationwide or only Rivers State? A colleague who went to their Port Harcourt Zonal Office on Friday said that the Zonal Coordinator has been transferred to Lagos and two staff dismissed because of some irregularities concerning the conduct of the exams. I want to know if other states have been paid before I can conclude if that's what caused the delay in payment of Supervisors transport claims.

The money they were asked to pay is about their two months salary. You can do your investigations to confirm the fact.

I just confirmed from someone I know who was affected in UBE and he said that those who were asked to pay money did not have the minimum attendance required per term when it was checked in their time book. In as much as you had a minimum of three days attendance per week, you are safe. There's no cause for alarm. No matter what they do, na God get power pass.
