If you want to cut a niche in the bad news industry then do it right.
Instead of using Facebook for copying and pasting why not use it as a source. Get the gist from Facebook and do some investigation on the subject before posting.
An example is this post, find out the very location it happened, journeying from where to where, name of the victim(s) if possible, etc.
Add to the story, not just sitting behind laptop, browsing Facebook, copying and pasting and claiming you specialize in reporting bad news.

I read the story but kind of sympathized with Ekweremadu being a parent desperately seeking solution for his daughter, while subconsciously blaming the boy for betraying the family. Your write up is wonderful because truly if Ekweremadu and the rest of the political class had developed this country close to how UK is then I don't think the boy would have so desperate as to throw them under the bus in order not to return to Nigeria.
If we even had good hospitals, he would not have done the surgery outside.
I guess karma is at play here.

The doctor might have been told by her superiors to round up the procedure and the young doctor probably felt the nurses will dispose the disposables but the nurse on duty was having none of that. The nurse would have called her attention to it and the doctor would have to probably told her to dispose them herself, which would have made the nurse to reply her rudely. Insults and quarreling would have ensued with the nurse finally locking the door until the doctor does her work.

Effc are dealing with cyber financial frauds.
We have heard cases of people being charged for cyber bullying, blackmail etc by the police to law courts.
The cyber laws are being implemented but the source too should be monitored for a better results.

You've made the point that the government is being responsible by issuing these regulations, and I'm telling you that the government is failing in its own core responsibility to implement the law. So if the government is really out to protect the citizenry, why are they not implementing our cyber laws?

If they government cares about the citizenry's response they would equally not attack these sites since we still won't approve. You and I know they don't care what we think.

The mere fact that the youths are comfortable with some things on the internet does not mean other demographics (elderly, religious ones etc) are comfortable with these things and government is also responsible for these people.
There is no where non consensual porn is encouraged and our government is being proactive by reminding these platforms of their duty to discourage such.
You set up a company, it is your duty to make sure its activities does not run afowl of the law or government will step in.

I bet if the government monitors(can't say if they are doing it already) all our internet activities, we would all be shouting freedom of speech. The logical thing is for them to compel these organizations to do the monitoring themselves.
Government is saying take priority on my country and protect our citizens or we take action ourselves.

While this might be valid reason, let's not speculate on their motivation for this but the important thing is the government has a responsibility to protect its citizens and by reminding the social media platforms of their duty to prevent harassment and intimidation on their platforms.
By this now, those social media platforms should really be vetting Nigerian contents to prevent these illegal acts so as not to run against the law.
The government is showing responsibility here.

1. The journalist that doesn't know what he is reporting on, first talking about non consensual content, and then saying porn in general can still be accessed;

2. The fact that non-consensual porn is not allowed on these platforms already. So creating a new directive around this issue seems not to be genuine.

Yeah it is not allowed in these platforms but they still happen and government is doing their own bit by reinforcing and reminding them of this obligation.
