ThinkSmarter: I'm not an IPOB member and not a supporter of Kanu but if the over 300 people indicted for terrorism financing and BokoHaram kingpins will be pardoned, rehabilitated and reintegrated. Why can't Kanu be pardoned? Since their offences are same Hmmm... Oga lie small small nah. Name one terrorism financier that was pardoned by FG. While we are at it, also name just one Bokoharam kingpin that was pardoned? The ones pardoned were just low level fighters, who were probably forcefully conscripted into Bokoharam in the first place.

I laugh when people say this is a setup by FG to dodge the prosecution of Kyari by the US.
How do you cover someone by putting him in more trouble? The NDLEA has accused him of being a member of a transnational drug cartel(Brazil, Ethiopia, Nigeria) thereby involving the US DEA. In essence now not only the US justice department interested in him but now DEA would also be interested. All I know Sha, Kyari is in hot soup.

One banner said " their loyalty is second to none" Like they have a choice. If dem no loyal, na mutiny straight If you look at the banner very well, it was a course project in 'principles of Advertising' Mac 216. Make independent observations and don't follow the crowd.

Same thing happened with the olympics basketball team. Full of igbo guys and so we know it was a story of transition. And america represents modern day pharoah who would not let those in bondage go ( the african americans aka the egyptians in bondage. ) and so when Nigeria defeated them in that opening game I knew the story had been told and their purpose was done. The story of transition as the israelites break away from pharoah. And so it’s a cosmic story of transition which is why igbo guys were featured and once that story was told I knew they would be eliminated after the fact as they have served their purpose. i knew they were not going anywhere after that win over usa
The Nigerian basketball team defeated the USA in a friendly before the tournament. They were soundly beaten in the main tournament.
If you want to spew your rubbish, try get your facts right.

Politics › Re: Can A Lunatic Govern Lagos? by dat9jaguy(m): 11:42am On Jan 23, 2022 |
Ngorbungor: Chairman this your argument is getting out of hand, and you are trying to derail this trend, stay with the topic am not here to prove anything to you.
The topic says why is it that governors and their agents especially Lagos state perform averagely well in their state but fail at the national level.
Please stay with the topic No change topic, Your argument, according to your write up, states that Lagos can be ruled by anyone(even a lunatic) , hence nothing special about past governors of the state. Now you are arguing that they don't perform at the national level, which is a totally different argument.

Politics › Re: Can A Lunatic Govern Lagos? by dat9jaguy(m): 11:33am On Jan 23, 2022 |
Ngorbungor: All you said are not new, and doesn't mean other state are not doing same, but I still stand on my position, Lagos is not doing anything special, only that private organisations and federal government are covering there inefficiency period. Yes other states are doing them now but Lagos set the pace. It takes innovative thinking and good political suave to be a trend setter in Nigeria and that is where the governors and the leaders of Lagos comes in. I still state that not just anyone can govern Lagos. Give someone like ikpeazu to run Lagos, you go know how far.
|
Politics › Re: Can A Lunatic Govern Lagos? by dat9jaguy(m): 11:04am On Jan 23, 2022 |
Well your points are noted, not that I agree with them though.
A state that created innovative ways of increasing their IGR, to the extent that when FG allocations were seize by Obj, they still survived and even increased their IGR.
A state that that tested the constitution by creating LCDAs (which led to their allocation being seized by FG) thereby kick starting the clamoring for restructuring in the country.
A state with so many 1st in the country, like the brt concept, state traffic management, intra city rail etc cannot be said could be run by just anyone. Lagos has been somehow getting it right in terms of governors they have been getting.
Since the days of Lateef Jakande, Lagos has always had serious governors who know what brought them to governance.
