Politics › Re: Opinion: Why I Believe Peter Obi Will Eventually Emerge President Of The New Nig by dat9jaguy(m): 4:15pm On Mar 08, 2023 |
Djoel: With all respect to our various political interests and diversities, let us view these points with open minds.
1. Nigerians from across regions and religions have gotten tired of the worsening state of the nation and prayed earnestly to God for deliverance from the current crop of Nigeria politicians and political system. If this election doesn't produce the turnaround, people across religions will loose hope that there is any God and Nigeria is in big trouble as we are badly divided, our economy is in a sorry state...the woes are just too many
2. Peter Obi emerged less than 1 year ago. He did not only build on an unpopular party widely called structure-less and with few supporters widely denigrated as 4 people twitting in a room. Never in the history of Nigeria has even the best of alliances of major parties, even merger of CPC and ACN, ever created such a powerful 3rd Force movement from nothing. Today Labor Party with it's sold-out followers of PO called Obidients has became the party to beat. This is not the work of a mere man.
To further buttress this, this topic with link below, was created when Peter Obi declared, just less than 1 year ago! Over 90% of the the people that mocked him in that thread are Obidients today. https://www.nairaland.com/7045390/peter-obi-declares-intention-contest/11#120589626
3. I have keenly studied Peter Obi and came to a conclusion that the good qualities he exhibits are way beyond the capability or will of a man who just wants to do good. This man is being helped by God in answer to the prayers of Nigerians. - Talk about his energy, he campaigned like a super human, maintained his coherence, health and kept to incredible schedules as he zig-zagged across the Nation. He dispised the security advice against going to Borno State and was prepared to die there than not reach out to everything Nigerian across the 36 States.
- He doesn't seem to make mistakes. His character, how he has managed to shape the opinions of we very stubborn and opinionated Nigerians to build so much trust on him, is beyond the capacity of a man working hard on his goals.
- His wisdom and humility in managing relationships and difficult situations seem to have also helped him beat unforseen traps. He seems to have a way of making lemonades when thrown lemons. Hence he united all Nigerians without making enemies with any people group. Every one that insulted him he calls My Egbon. When labeled an actor, he accepts and rallies the Nollywood, telling them not to fail him by not voting him as a member of the Nollywood. Ha!
Pondering over these events, I am rest assured that when Peter Obi eventually reclaims his mandate, a new Nigeria will dawn upon all of us. All the people who misunderstood him or fought him for personal interest will embrace his leadership and support him. We will sing and dance with joy and our New Nigeria best depicted with the emage below emerges under The Deliverer - PO.
God bless His Excellency Peter Obi, the deliverer of Nigeria God bless the good and great people of Nigeria God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Grand delusions.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Christians Need Not Fret About Victory Of APC's Muslim-Muslim Ticket by dat9jaguy(m): 8:53am On Mar 05, 2023 |
jesusjnr2020: Why Christians Need Not Fret About Electoral Victory Of APC's Muslim-Muslim Ticket
The freest and fairest presidential election to be held in the history of this nation was won by the party that fielded a muslim-muslim ticket.
It was a muslim-muslim ticket of MKO Abiola and Babagana Kingibe, yet no one, not even one Christian or church leader in this nation, seemed to care or have any issues with it. I can't remember anyone as such speaking against it.
Even the only rival party at the time fielded a muslim-christian ticket, yet it was the muslim-muslim ticket that Christians in this nation voted overwhelmingly for.
Nigerian Christians and the church contributed significantly to the victory of the party that fielded the muslim-muslim ticket over that which fielded the muslim-christian ticket, because they believed the presidential candidate of the party with the muslim-muslim ticket would provide the best leadership of the nation.
So it's not really about a muslim-muslim ticket as many Christians and church leaders were making it to be, but which of the presidential candidates would provide the best leadership for the nation, and based on antecedence, the presidential candidate of party with the muslim-muslim ticket is one that has proven himself to be most competent at the leadership level of all the leading candidates of the election.
This doesn't mean that he wasn't a former drug lord in the past or wasn't corrupt, but the fact that regardless, his track record in the area of leadership clearly trumps those of his closest rivals.
It's that glaring, even a spokesman of arguably his major rival in the race, couldn't help but admit that he was the best state Governor Nigeria has ever produced.
So except we want to be sentimental about it, this is not far from the truth.
When it comes to the area of religious sentiments, the presidential candidate of the muslim-muslim ticket is the one who chose a RCCG pastor as running mate for the president despite being Muslim. Moreover the immediate past and present Christian governors of Lagos state were both his choices.
In addition to that, the closest person to him, his wife, who he's been married to for close to forty years is also Christian and also said to be an RCCG pastor. That should illustrate his religious orientation.
On rigging of elections, that's sadly a systemic issue in this nation as we speak, because none of the leading candidates of the presidential election, could boldly claim they didn't benefit from rigging in the elections to any degree.
The only reason his rivals were crying foul is because they lost the election regardless. I'm pretty sure if the party which won had lost, they'd would have also claimed to have been rigged out. The only reason they're not crying foul is because they won and so also would their rivals if they had won.
One clear instance of that, is the rigging of the elections in Rivers state. The same governor, a so-called Christian, that massively rigged the elections in the favour of the rival presidential candidate of his party, has been rigging elections for his party in previous elections. But those who benefitted from his massive rigging previously didn't have any issue with it, it's only now that he has used the same rigging mechanism against them that they're now crying foul, which is nothing but sheer hypocrisy.
If it's in in the area of health, the sitting president was also mocked and ridicled at some point because of his health. Some even maliciously claimed he was dead and had been replaced by Jubrin of Sudan, the worst part was that many fell for that blatant lie, including some Christians and church leaders, but the same president miraculously emerged from the jaws and shadows of death and now appears fitter and healthier than ever.
He even outlived some of those who mocked him and claimed he was dead, so if God could do it for the sitting president why not the president-elect?
I'm not a fan of the president-elect as I was of MKO Abiola. I didn't even support or vote for him during the election, but when I was praying for Nigeria days before the election, when I had no idea how the election would pan out, God told me APC would win and it came to pass as God said.
https://www.nairaland.com/7234820/what-saw-nigeria-next-president#121245078
I don't still know what the result entails for the nation because God hasn't told me any more than that, but I believe that God's plans for Nigeria is still on course regardless.
One of the reasons I am not a fan of the president-elect is his ego and pride, but if God could humble King Nebuchadnezzar, how much more the president-elect?
Here is an excerpt of his acceptance speech which offered a bit of hope:
"I am grateful to Almighty God. By His mercy, I was born a son of Nigeria and through His sublime purpose I find myself the victor of this election. May He grant me the wisdom and courage to lead the nation to the greatness He alone has destined for it."
If he actually meant it, i would say, a big "amen" to the prayer, and if it be the Will of God, let it be done!
God bless Nigeria. Well said.

Politics › Re: The High Level Bigotry And Hatefulness Of The South West Explained by dat9jaguy(m): 12:38pm On Mar 04, 2023 |
LocalStandard1: Don't know how far they will decide to push this post but here goes.
Since Tinubu took hold of the Presidential election victory I have been left disappointed, not just by the loss of the Labour Party's Peter Obi but also for an odd unusual reason, by which it opened my eyes even more to the extreme manipulation and hatefilled bigotry of the South West.
See, I remember the promise by a lot of the OBIdients online and off about how they plan to celebrate the victory of Peter Obi when he wins the Presidential election. People around me, even here online like Dbull showed off some wads of cash and said how they would celebrate Obi's eventual win.
Peter Obi didn't, Tinubu did.
Now since the so-called victory of Tinubu I've noticed that the South Westerners instead of celebrating and making tons of threads, posts, about it and their celebrations, have either reclined back to sulking oblivion or doubled down on their attacks and stalking of Peter Obi, the OBIdients and the Southeastern Igbos, like the win was the other way round.
I do not get it!!
Even the entirety or a majority of the South West are unbelievably mute and totally silent about the Tinubu win. Don't get me started about the silence from the North, it's deafening here.
Image if Peter Obi or even Atiku had won, the OBIdients worldwide or the Atikulators would have had a month's worth of celebrating. some would have died of reckless celebration, just like 2015 and 2011 elections.
Why's now so unfathomably different, even among those that claim to want Tinubu's long time ambitious, almost elusive win?
Why have they left and forgotten they won and seemingly turned to the opposition and total bickers? Do they really even want and desire a Tinubu win or was it all just some misplaced priority and passing indulgence just to spite a section of the country?
Or is the ambition so elusive they still haven't realized they "won"? Or don't they consider it a win for them too? Or don't they even realize their person is victorious? Or is the whole Tinubu brouhaha just a fraud?
I would really love they answer my bewilderment! A short answer to your question is that if you (in this case, IPOB and sympathisers) think you have monopoly of madness then you will see that some people's own madness starts where your own ends.

Why are they mourning?
This ought to be celebrations.. yet they’re look sad .. and so unhappy..
Same with his pcc, Buhari ministers , appointees, northerners , Apc governors, all I’ve not see any one celebrating Tinubu’s victory happily
Even portable .. is not happy singing his hype..
Something is not just right about the whole thing
Both on television and print media.. they all have this long face ..
Haba!
If not for the real fact I know Muslims and live with them .. one would have thought it’s a religious thing.
Walahi I hope the victory party in Abuja will be a happy one not a burial party
Apc senators and president Buhari appointees.. atleast make Una celebrate
Even seyi and remi .. iyaloja .. they al don’t look happy.. not even Olumo..
Is okay Why should they smile, did they win jackpot They actually know the amount of work that needs to be done. Now is a time for planning instead of jubilating. This is a good sign that the right person was voted not someone that sees the presidency as a prize. Obidense try get sense.

Vote4Obi: I can hazard a guess that just like Judas in the Bible, the INEC chairman, Mahmood never anticipated things will unravel this way. Just like those that paid him, they had assumed that Nigerians would accept the results and move on. But alas, everyone has refused to move on. Instead, the heat is rising and pressure is mounting on them.
Almost the entire world now know that Nigeria's election is deeply flawed. Peter Obi who is supposed to be the loser has seen his popularity spiking while Tinubu who is alleged to be the winner, is now facing severe embarrassment and ridicule.
Just like Judas, these men have murdered peace and they're now restless.
Peter Obi is already the winner, regardless of whether he reclaims his stolen mandate or not. He would win the Nobel peace prize. He is already an institution in Nigeria and would be the best president Nigeria never had. He has become globally famous, far more than Tinubu or Mahmood will ever hope to be.
So, I ask again, are they still celebrating? Keep asking o. All you wrote up there is just happening in your mind. The reality is that Tinubu is the president elect to be sworn in by 29th May 2023. If e pain you, jump inside lagoon
