WebmastersRe: Do You Think Information Marketing Business Is Dead In Nigeria? by databoy247(m): 10:03pm On Aug 15, 2012
In as much as i would not want to argue or exchange words with you, i have to say this. The IM business is not dead, it just got a bit more harder.

Generally, people are tired of buying all the "make money online" and "make millions instantly" materials that leads no where. You cant expect me to spend my last dime buying an info material that will only make me broke. If only Nigerians would learn to start selling information materials on what we NEED (like cancer prevention, Cultism secrets, relationship/marriage issues, sleepless nights - problem of 60% of Nigerian men, etc) and not "how to make millions now now", you might be lucky to get more than enough buyers.

IM marketers seem to have lost it...they no longer do surveys and problem analysis to determine and differentiate between NEEDS from WANTS. You dont expect me to buy a material on making millions when my immediate need is to pass my WAEC and leave the torture of my parents......in this scenario, a material on the combination of past questions (and answers) would do me a whole lotta good than that of making millions - Why stress myself to make millions when my father is the owner of CBN? (dumb example...i know)

I hope this helps. wink

WebmastersRe: Observation: Voguepay Again! by databoy247(op): 5:45am On Aug 15, 2012
Please this is not in a bid to bring down the reputation of the said company. Its better we start pointing out errors, bugs, etc and and analyze the company (privately or publicly) so they improve on their services as we will truly enjoy a better voguepay. So let your criticism be professional and without prejudice. Thanks.
WebmastersRe: Observation: Voguepay Again! by databoy247(op): 5:35am On Aug 15, 2012
Ok, i picked a random merchant site from google www.bestsms247.com

On the upper left you will see a voguepay processor. Enter a random figure and click on the button...its supposed to take you to a page where you CLICK a "Buy Now" button (confirming your order is correct) which finally redirects you to the voguepay payment page. But its not acting sane. Please confirm and comment. Thanks.
WebmastersObservation: Voguepay Again! by databoy247(op): 5:28am On Aug 15, 2012
I dont know about you guys but the recent problem am experiencing with voguepay is that when i want to make purchase from any of their merchant sites, i really DONT click the "buy now" button before it takes me to the payment page. Is it supposed to be automatic? or is it a technical glitch which needs to be fixed? I started losing my money to this GTpay, interswitch blah blah blah last weekend the moment i start noticing the "buy now" button issue. Now i dont know if its my laptop or my network but i have tried with several other laptops and networks and it still gives me same problem.

Please confirm if you notice same issue (or you can carry out a test now to see for yourselves) or if the problem is from my own end so i can safely and confidently carry out my transactions without fear of losing money again. I have opened a support ticket on the above subject matter but maybe its either they are working on it or its discarded. Someone should please explain whats happening.

Thanks. sad

People still think you make money from the internet. You DONT make money from the internet, you only make money with the help of the internet! E-topup.com.ng makes money selling recharge cards but do so with the help of the internet.

ALot of people are still fooled with the "info marketing online money maker" system. Listen, making money selling information materials is one of the hardest things you can ever do cos every information is almost free on the internet if you search well. Maybe (just maybe)our friend Akin has realized it and instead of soiling his name, he backed out. Real internet gurus are not those who claim to make $$$$ selling info materials but those that know how to use the internet to facilitate their business and get interesting returns.

I cant remember the last time i paid for an info material when i have torrents wink

I thought am the only one that lost money during transactions (the money(s) that was debited from my account and the anger of my client....which i lost including the money i was supposed to be paid). I was told to contact my bank, when it was voguepay i did business with and not GTBank. I sincerely hope the issue is resolved speedily so we can go about our normal business. undecided

As for the loss, i pray God that GTBank do a reversed transaction.
WebmastersNigerian Online Service Providers With The Best Customer Support. by databoy247(op): 2:32pm On Aug 12, 2012
Ok, am here again. I want to list (the few i can remember from my experience with them) Nigerian companies (online services) with the best customer service.

1. Trudigits LLC (webhosting)

2. E-topup (online recharge and LR funding. I rate them no 1 cos even for 11pm for night dem go still attend to you)

3. KudiSMS (bulk SMS)

4. Voguepay (of recent with their support ticketing system)

5. whogohost (webhosting)

For the worst, i would list;

* EstoreSMS (bulk SMS)-----phone numbers dont work and they dont reply emails

* SMSLive247 (bulk SMS)----they reply emails but phone numbers dont work

if you know any online service company with very good or bad customer service, you can list them here oh so we know who to patronize and who to stay away from. grin

I recently discovered that the much proclaimed internet guru Akin Alabi is...should i say loosing his touch? Most of his popular websites are not functioning anymore especially his popular forum (www.alabiforum.com). I've not heard much about his "income" publication, etc. Or is it that he is now just focusing on his nairabet business? Just wondering though cool
WebmastersRe: How Much Did You Make In The First Half Of The Year? by databoy247(op): 10:46pm On Aug 10, 2012
Errrrmm, consultation with two organizations and one politician gave me 85% of my figure...so its justified! I know am still a rookie compared to some gurus developers in the house like dual core, dhtml, yawa-tide, afam4ever, almighty doncigalo, Seun the boss, not to mention others.... grin

WebmastersRe: Website Design TOS Contract Sheet. by databoy247(op): 6:54pm On Aug 08, 2012
I dont think its supposed to be in your proposal.Proposals basically reflects a breakdown of what you intend to do and how you intend to do it. I think it should be sent as a separate document after the nod has been given to your proposal. Its usually what you take with you to the "second" meeting.

Personally, i dont submit proposals as i get most jobs through referrals, so the person who refers me usually does all the talking on my behalf (i find it so always) and when am called, its always "how much do we pay you and can you come over and collect an advance?"
And when i go, i dont really go with "contract sheets" for signing. At the end, i keep battling for my balance payment angry

And most annoying is that i dont work alone. I have a team i work with (programmers and graphics experts) so i keep explaining to them when am supposed to be paying them. We truly need a restructuring of the web development industry (in this country) so both clients and developers will see it as a notable profession. I think then, clients would request for the "contract sheets" for signing even if you forget. grin
WebmastersWebsite Design TOS Contract Sheet. by databoy247(op): 2:00pm On Aug 08, 2012
I just want to know, do you guys (who are web developers) send a TOS contract sheet to clients for signing before doing jobs for them? I think i might want to start implementing such practice as most clients always violate payment agreement (after doing the job they intentional delay or drag your final payment). This has made me to always collect over 60% of agreed fees before the start of any job so i wont lose out totally when payment dispute arises.

Your comments please.. cry

WebmastersRe: Eyowo Vs Voguepay by databoy247(op): 10:57am On Aug 01, 2012
@all, the 3k limit is from interswitch and i believe voguepay is working on increasing the limit.

Dual Core: P.S: I am loving the Voguepay swag (though not a merchant) but I am not satisfied with the settlement of all 3 systems. I am looking for a merchant that will settle transactions every 48 hours.
Plimus and co do their settlement twice a month. We know say GTbank dey nearly burst your phone with alert almost everyday..but patience dude, make we catch up wink
