Such a memory space in your hosting plan?

Is what you paid for up to 50MB in disk space? Cos from my calculation, what you said was fatal error is just about 32MB.

20hours to learn programming? It means you are a genius. But hey, how can someone who learnt programming in 20hours decide to use PHPmotion - Video Script (a free CMS script) in building a site like youtube .
Its one thing to install CMS, its another thing to customize it well so it will look good and attractive. Work on your site more so it can really be worth $300.

Was bored and decided to visit .net and realized that its truly a web development portal. You can visit and make use of some small tools and etc. But all in all, its a nice job done by a Nigerian (for FREE). Maybe we should start appreciating what we as Nigerians can do. And just maybe all the self proclaimed "gurus" can do something like this (FREE or for MONEY).

Believe me, some people will get paid just to help install joomla and drupal. So also, others who will get paid just to design logos for websites, and also plenty of money for linux server administrators also

Talking about web developers and money making. I have always nursed the idea of majority of us coming together (even if its not done in other countries, it can be done here in Nigeria) and kinda setting up a union. We hold a developers conference, were a decision can be reached on maybe setting up a body that regulates the web developers business. I believe with this, activities will be co-ordinated and proper records can be kept. Now, with this it will be easier to create a freelance web portal where all webmasters can be registered. Possible clients (around the world) can easily seek out freelancers from the portal and in no time Nigerian web developers will be "occupied". This freelance portal will be controlled by the registered regulatory body and if this happens, in no time, Nigerians will be known across the globe as a center for web development. Trust me, we do have some great developers and programmers.

@Afam, why do you condemn sites that are template based? Sometimes some templated sites are way better than hand coded sites in terms of design and layouts. What you should emphasize on is the PR, traffic, SEO, etc which actually makes a site worthy of selling. If Most major news websites that are made from wordpress are being offered to you for 50k, you wont buy (cos its templated) and has over 100k visitors monthly?

@Poster, you dont just fix a price for the websites you want to sell without the necessary information buyers would like to know.

maybe ishouldnt just charge for building the site alone, am gonna charge also for d e-marketing/campaign via socialmedia vis-a-vis the website. With this one can establish not just a template but a system that will be result oriented whereby other developers can emulate.

@OP, where are u based? Anyway, like he said, get a portfolio (sample website) do your biz cards and share amongst your peeps. Always start sharing your cards among your friends, family friends and relations. They are quicker to recommend you for a job.

@doncigalo, Toba is the brain behind an app called jobberman - Great! Dual core is someone i can call a professional in Linux Server administration. It means he is a master of the act. Trust me, there are few of them like him in Nigeria. Thats his specialty and i respect him for that.

Creating jobberman does not make Toba a hero cos a whole lot of programmers can do something like that, he is just lucky to get the contract. That said, he is a good webhost cos being in the webhosting business since 2008/09 means he knows what he is doing.

I cant deny the fact that you are knowledgeable, but we dont know what you specialize in. And i believe a consultant should be someone who is an expert in a particular field. So why the fighting and harsh words? DHTML talks alot but he is good at what he does, We know what he does. What do you actually do?

I thought Daniel Isa aka doncigalo (i dont know if i got the name right) was the owner of whogohost, buh he is not (although from my own investigations, he is a good programmer and very good with MySQL and windows server, but he is not a specialist in a particular area sha,i dont know why). I think the owner of whogohost from my own investigation has a good profile but it cannot be compared to Sawyerr Ken (Trudigits), cos he definitely has more experience not just in programming but in Linux server administration. My 2 cents.

There's no comparism to trudigits.com . As for me its the best in Nigeria. Instant setup, rare downtime, excellent customer service and tight security. If it were to be network marketing, i will be paid for doing this oh. All the same, kudos to trudigits.com
