TravelRe: Nigerian Man In UK Laments After Buying 53 Liters Of Fuel For £97 (Photo, Video) by DataDoc: 5:08pm On Mar 17
Kingsley34:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_pRxe1pY8U&pp=ygURam16IG1lZGlhIGNvbmNlcnQ%3D

"UK-based Naija guy fills up 53 litres of petrol and pays £97... that's roughly ₦190,000 at today's rate! 😱 He shouts 'UK life is just suffering and smiling' and asks how much the same fuel costs back home in Nigeria right now.

Watch him react in real time + see why Nigerians online are dragging him hard (Minimum wage UK vs Naija comparison incoming...)
Current reality check (March 2026):

UK petrol ~£1.42/litre (avg)
Nigeria petrol ~₦1,000–1,200/litre (varies by state)
But UK minimum wage ~£1,000–1,200/month vs Nigeria ₦70,000/month
Is abroad really suffering or selective comparison? Drop your thoughts below!
Why this useless comparison?

What is the minimum wage in UK?

What is the quality of life in UK?

Compare that with Nigeria

Funny thing that Nigerian Iranians don't know is that:

The US is the biggest producer and refiner of Oil.

grin grin grin

Their attempts to stop the terrorism of ships on that route are not because it hurts their economy directly, but because their economy is the economy of the world, and if other countries like Britanistan, Francistan, etc collapse, America collapses.

The only direct solution to this problem is BOOTS ON THE GROUND.

Terrorists understand no other language than "more force!"

God bless the United States of America
God bless Trump
God bless the Nation of Israel
God bless Netanyahu
God bless the children of God (Israel).
Boots on the ground?

That would be too costly for the USA.

Iran is not Iraq or Afghanistan.

And with Russia supporting Iran, things can spiral quickly.
EducationRe: Phd Holder Shares Payslip From Time As Covenant University Lecturer by DataDoc: 8:18pm On Mar 15
Ironfaceman:
A former lecturer of Covenant University, who also has a PhD, has taken to social media to mention his salary The experienced individual took to his media page to engage in discussion and also share his payslip The amount he mentioned as his salary caught the attention of many people, who took to the comments page to react.

A former lecturer of Covenant University, who also has a PhD, has captured people's attention after disclosing the amount he was paid as salary despite his degree and qualifications.

The brilliant individual backed up his claim with a photo, which serves as evidence of the amount he was paid as salary and the specific year

Former Covenant University displays his payslip His statement shows that he currently does not work with the institution, as he referred to the school in the past tense.

@Engrbimmy wrote on his social media page: "I looked at my payslip (with Ph.D) from when I was a Lecturer at Covenant University, and I started crying."

By revealing the amount he was paid in the viral post, many on social media found his statement hard to believe. An individual, @MrPharm_, asked what year the lecturer taught at Covenant University or the year he was paid the said amount he mentioned. To prove his statement is true, @Engrbimmy replied with proof from his PayPal.

A statement to further prove that he received the amount he mentioned as salary in January 2024. Legit.ng reached out to the individual for comments, but he has not responded at the time of writing this report. His post about Covenant University has since gone viral, with many people talking about it online.

https://www.legit.ng/people/1701126-phd-holder-shares-payslip-time-covenant-university-lecturer-nigerians-react/
Let's get the context correct please.

The important thing is not about the PhD

Is that Lecturer 2 or Lecturer 1 on that payslip?

Before this new FG-ASUU agreement, Professor in Nigerian university was earning 300k+

Lecturer 2
Lecturer 1
Senior Lecturer
Associate Professor
Then, Professor

He is not paid because he has PhD . He is paid based on his lecturer rank.

What he/she is trying to say is that you can be called Mr. anywhere , irrespective of your professional titles

As a medical doctor, Dr is a professional title known to your colleagues and those at your workplace and the healthcare circles.

You don't go around on the streets telling everyone you're a doctor.

Hmm...this boy is not well brought up.

The father doesn't give his wife enough credit in front of their kids; that's why the foolish boy was never aware his Mum also brings in money to the family.

Even if the Mum is not working or earning, that's not a reason to talk to her rudely like that.

CareerRe: Woman Shares Her Staff's Response After Receiving Salary From Her by DataDoc: 12:36am On Nov 23, 2025
Hardeybohwarley:
Even though her action is commendable, we need to let go of such mentality as it doesn't work in saner climes and better organisation in Nigeria.

I find it hard to see why an employer will be expecting me to show appreciation for receiving a salary I toiled for.

Was the employer thanking me while I was doing the job.
Dey there dey speak grammar.

You don't know what gratitude can cause. I can cite examples.

Again, this is not an "organization" as you think. It's probably a small scale business where everyone in the business know one another personally.

To find thankful people nowadays is a rare gift and can open doors for the person.

Richtaiwo:
Nawa for oyibo oh. So because he worked while on leave, he has committed an offence. He also worked at night when he was supposed to be resting, how is that una problem? Is it your body?
This is the mentality that keeps Nigeria backwards.

The time he spent working in the other places was the same time he should have spent at his primary place of employment.

He claimed he couldn't work those times on health grounds. So, the hospital got someone else and paid them extra to do this guy's job.

I hope it's well understood now.

If you say you're sick, you should be at home resting or in the hospital recovering. If you're found anywhere else, you're a FRAUD.

PoliticsRe: Defence Minister Matawalle Slams Wike: Service Chiefs Advised Him To Wait But... by DataDoc: 2:13pm On Nov 13, 2025
Hoelujohn:
Wike spoke with CDS and CNS. They both advised him not to go there. He should have even called the minister of Defence too but because he sees himself as the super minister, he felt how can he be calling his ‘junior minister’ .
If the military should even make attempt to discipline Yerima, under 2 months, the military discipline will collapse.
My question is what is even a lawful order? When Wike used policemen to snatch ballot boxes, were those lawful orders?
Those saying the military guy disrespected civilian authority are wrong.

Civilian and military don't operate the same chain of command.

If Wike gives and order and the Chief of Naval Staff gives a different order, in 100% of cases the military officer will obey the Chief of Naval Staff.

That's how the military works.

For me, the officer exercised great restraint despite being called a fool repeatedly. What if he changed it for Wike there and then?

A civilian cannot order a military personnel around. If you have issues with the personnel, approach his superiors to get him to obey.

Till then, you're only wasting your time.
