emapeteum: I have always said most Nigerian-trained Doctors are ungrateful beings. They are unpatriotic and uènthankful. Pastor Poju said this, and he was almost crucified simply because he spoke the truth. They pay nearly nothing to be trained as a doctor, but they want to be rich like Dangote. These doctors still steal from public hospitals to enrich themselves. Whatever profession, it is a matter of choice and we all go to the same market. You earn above 300k, and you're showing ungratefulness because you want to earn like those in the UK. After all, do we operate at the same economic level?
If you want to compare school fees, nobody in Nigeria will be able to pay school fees, irrespective of the Course he/she is studying.
It's not just doctors.
So, for now, let's just agree that every Nigerian is being trained for "free", not just doctors.
Besides, it's not only doctors that are Japaing. Every profession is.
Jman06: If they want to ask for salary increment, let them do ask legitimately and not this their current antics of bullying other healthcare professionals with inconsequential things like "Dr" title and whatnots
If adding Dr. to your name makes you happy, then do it. Lol
shortgun: Doctors are overpaid if you ask me. There's no logical explanation why Doctors should earn more than Engineers. After all, seeing a doctor doesn't guarantee one will survive an illness or die.
Chai!
No comment. I don't understand the comparison though.
Better keep money aside for abroad treatment, just in case.
A video showing EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede preaching a message of prosperity at Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has gone viral.
The sermon, which touched on financial success and divine favor, has stirred mixed reactions online due to his high-profile anti-corruption role.
AustineE1: Soludo is placing his gubernatorial ambition at great risk, this is Anambra state,if he do any how,he go see any how. I know his arrangement with Tinubu,is just to secure his second tenure by November guber elections but he should thread carefully or else the anger of Anambra people will fall on him.
Soludo doesn't need Tinubu's help to secure second term.
He doesn't have any strong challenger for the November election.
360degreess: Where are the saner clowns? Many Africans especially Nigerians think that when they travel out to all these developed countries they won't die again. They feel they will definitely grow to old age,but every time we keep hearing how some of them are been killed in the same "insecurity free" countries. So the good roads, good health care systems, stable electricity,..etc cannot stop them from dying?..
The rule remains the same everywhere. Don't flaunt too much. Maintain a low social media profile. E get why
tunjijones: Stop it... Stop acting like there is terrorism in every party of Nigeria. Stop acting like everyone living in Nigeria is living in fear.
Not down playing the kidnapping and herdsmen carnage in Nigeria , people are living their normal life. Like me, I even stay in the northern part of Nigeria and I am living well and fine.
How can I be living in a mansion and have very good source of income in Nigeria, then I leave to go and stay in a one room studio apart in the UK where I will work like a slave for the rest of my life.
For the most people who want to earn a honest living in Nigeria, they will have to "work like a slave", and many still fall short. Just one hospital admission will wipe away the little change remaining and put them in huge debts.
For the rest that don't want to "work like a slave", they augment by taking bribes and doing a lot of dishonest things and even crimes, which I may not mention here. Other follow politicians and sing praises for those who drop crumbs for them, irrespective of their background and source of wealth. Even whoocup join.
Few are lucky to come from rich homes where everything is ready for them even if they work or not; with properties and huge amounts of money for them to inherit. They may not understand the struggles of the majority.
OVER 80% OF NIGERIANS DON'T EARN ANYTHING NEAR "GOOD SOURCE OF INCOME".
We can deceive ourselves with Abracadabra Statistics, but that's the Truth
phorget: MC oluomo the number one agbero still won't allow his son to school in Nigeria, and you actually think those people abandoning their ”mansions“ in Nigeria are stupid right?
As in eh. Those people are securing property and British passport ls for their children so they can have where to run to after destroying Nigeria.
Me, I should be more patriotic than everyone else. Lol.
Living in Nigeria is not easy oh. No matter how patriotic I try to be. That's the honest truth.
eastOFwest: The picture of her room (box room) reminds me of the one I lived in when I first came to the UK. Mine was actually smaller than that. I lived there for 9 months. It was a starting point. Everyone has to start somewhere. Sometimes you have to take a few steps backwards to move forwards. I went from renting a box room to eventually being a landlord to tenants. I know how much I send to Nigeria every month for different reasons.
Do you know that diasporans in the UK remitted about $3.53 billion back to Nigeria in 2022? 2nd only after USA? Globally, about $20 billion was remitted back home by Nigerian diasporans. That same year Nigeria earned $35.7 billion form Oil & Gas. That same year Foreign Direct Investment from other sources was -$0.19 billion (negative). The highest it had ever been up till then from 2010 was $8.84 billion in 2011. Bear in mind that the FG would have spent millions of dollars on trade missions and other government sponsored junkets in order to woo investors, and also make certain tax breaks and other incentives available for FDI. Money from diasporans is money to Nigeria FOR FREE.
Nobody gives diasporans any tax breaks for investing in Nigeria, just like is given to the already rich Chinese, Arabs and westerners. Diasporans work extremely hard, run businesses, hustle in the streets etc, and gladly send these monies home for various things. No thank you for being the largest source of foreign earning into Nigeria after Oil & Gas. Instead, what I've seen in the last few years is a concerted effort to malign and de-market the idea of Nigerians moving abroad, and it's increased 10 fold in the last year.
How typical of black man to consistently shoot himself in the foot. To consistently make things worse for himself just because of pride and sentiments. Stubbornly refusing to be pragmatic. Yes, we will feed ourselves, create jobs and keep ourselves healthy by being proud, abi? Grown men, fathers, grand fathers and even great grandfathers, reasoning like children and scoring cheap political points. Indulging in meaningless bragging rights. Sad.

Like the writer said, They like it like that.
You've made your choice to continue staying in Northern Nigeria and you're okay with it.
Those that have japa have their own strong motivation and they're fine with life there. Life is not easy anywhere.
LegendHero: All this epistle onto 13th position in debt decrease? What should Jigawa and Ondo state now say?
Just comment President Tinubu for repositioning Nigeria finances to ensure states now have money left to service their obligation and have more to spend.
If you know where Abia State is coming from....
24 years of wasteful leadership plus loans on top of that.
fnep2smooth: They need to dash the person handling the jamb page a bottle of wine. He handled it professionally even though he admitted that clearance starts by 6:30am. Which is still early.
Yea ..the handler was quite professional with the response
LadyExcellency: How do you extradite someone who tore his Nigerian passport and disavowed his Nigerian citizenship? Simon Ekpa is a Finnish citizen alone, and if he was found guilty of any criminal offence, he should be prosecuted and jailed in Finland.
There is an established process for renouncing citizenship.
SmartPolician: Leadership is complicated. You can never say the people love a leader if you don't live in that country. Someone in America can argue that Nigerians love Tinubu, especially when they read comments from agbadorians who spend 24/7 online defending him and his thoughtless policies.
Traore should've responded to the concerns the Americans raised if he was truly running a transparent government and not stealing from his people. Perhaps Traore could be stealing 5% of their resources as against 50% probably demanded by the French government.
One may argue that it's better, but it doesn't mean that Traore is any better. If you accuse me of being a thief, the onus is on you to prove that you are better than me by running a transparent govt.
If USA invades Burkina Faso, how many percent will they steal?
