Especially, the health sector will experience crisis of immeasurable dimensions. If a Democrat takes over after Trump, he may reverse the decision and resume funding. If we manage all Nigeria's resources without corruption, we truly don't need foreign aid |

Meanwhile, the amount of money involves in settlement depends on the line of business and the worth of the boss(oga) , I know a boy that rejected 50M settlement, instead took his oga to court. I also know a man that settled his boy with 50ft full container of goods Wow! I'm surprised to hear this. Did he sign an agreement with his oga on how much oga will settle him with? OneOnland: Self-defence. She's security-conscious. If the lecturer had no sinister motive, he could have approached from the front, not from the rear.
Ok, watched the video. This is messy. She's an aggressive lady who may have had 'history'. And read the lecturer's account: she didn't reflex-react as a result of the tap from the rear, but from further altercations they had.
The lecturer's offence: showing up on her video, and tapping her whilst the passageway is wide enough that he could pass by. He had "lordish-I'm-a-lecturer-motive", I could surmise. The lady's offence: assault, and that's a tenderable case. 😞 She should have come at night to do her content creation. The other day, I was upset when some of my students were doing a video and added me in without my consent. I only calmed down when they assured me they would edit me out before posting. She didn't respect the man's rights ab initio. He must even be commended for exhibiting a high level of self control |

Dada4me: I had same experience in a government hospital in December. The doctor had to wait for his phone app to come up before listening to me and prescribe medication.
AI is the new way to attend to patients now.
I pray we never fall sick to need this social media doctors. There is an app (used to be a hard copy book) that contains medications and their dosages. When you're just starting and even after many years as a doctor, you don't have all the doses of medications in your head automatically. It is legal and we can consult the book once in a while so as not to make a mistake when prescribing drugs. Alternatively, we confirm the dosage from other colleagues in the same clinic. I may be wrong though. He may have been checking something else |

Biqsahm: Dis set of new generation doctors are Jon snow( they know nothing) na google them Dey use administer treatment to patients, na only God fit help person.. If they are truly doctors, they overstepped their boundaries and should be punished. They're most probably post house job doctors or inexperienced who have not even done enough Cesarean sections supervised. They probably deceived the owner of the hospital and claimed they could do a CS when they could not. If you can do a CS, a private hospital will pay you more compared to a doctor that cannot The owner of the hospital should be blamed too. He assumed too much. Now, kasala has burst, he will still be arrested |

Zico5: Nothing was increased in medical school. My boy just gained admission to study dentistry in Unilag. As of now, they are still 33 in the class roll despite the former quota is 40 for unilag. Medicine is just a little above 100. Go to unilag and confirm. Nothing changes yet. Maybe it will still take effect soon. But it has been increased |
Politics › Re: Japa: Only 6,000 Medical Consultants Remain In Nigeria – MDCAN by DataDoc: 6:30pm On Jan 27, 2025 |
blowjohn: Before that exam the doctor must have been comfortable.
60 percent increase is relative. Depends on the quota the school had prior to the increase. And u said the increase was recent..... After more than a decade?
Why are there still not enough house officers to make work less stressful in teaching and general hospitals?
U find one house officer per unit in many hospitals. Why?
Why are house officers forced to join NARD strike every time.. But when it comes to making important decisions that revolve round health, they are left out? You're literally saving for all these things from Day 1: Physician-in training, Updates/Revision courses, then the main exams Residency exams are not optional oh. Years back, people had their appointment terminated because they had overstayed or not passed an exam when they were supposed to. The clamor for increased quota has been ongoing for years. Besides, you don't expect the quota to triple or quadruple without corresponding upgrade in infrastructure and staffing |
Politics › Re: Japa: Only 6,000 Medical Consultants Remain In Nigeria – MDCAN by DataDoc: 11:50pm On Jan 26, 2025 |
blowjohn: They always clamour for money.
They won't push for accreditation of medical schools.
They won't push for larger quota if medical school graduates.
They won't push for better working conditions.
Always money. Lol Do you know, for instance, that to write just one medical postgraduate exam (West Africa College of Physicians), you're spending over one million Naira? Then add cost of textbooks, compulsory and optional courses that are close to 100k each. If you mistakenly fail the exam, you have to pay afresh and rewrite. Should I give my family sand and stones to eat? Again, I laugh because you're obviously not aware that medical school quotas all over the country was increased recently by as high as 60%. Go and verify. Every medical school in Nigeria have been approved to train more students If you also listen to NARD, you will realize resident doctors have been pushing for better working conditions from time immemorial |
