Antoeni: Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi, and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi are some of the leading presidential aspirants under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) set to support whoever is eventually decided by the party as the presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The agreement, already in principle negotiated, depends on the conduct of its “transparent” leading partner — a clause all rivals vow is not open to haggling.
Amaechi confirmed the news when he stated that the aspirants were in principle agreeing to back the winner but emphasized the necessity of defining precisely what a “transparent” process was.
“What we have agreed is that whoever comes out of an open primary will enjoy the support of all,” Amaechi stated.
“But let’s first of all sit down and agree what we mean by open because it is very easy for one man to hijack the process and still refer to it as open,” he added.
Interim national chairman of ADC, Senator David Mark, has also assured that no candidate has been adopted and the party will remain neutral.
Casham: My cousin just told me last night that she just got raped on Sunday afternoon/evening (6th July, 2025).
I stay with them for now. She's 18, the first of two daughters and was still virgin (as far as I know). Her only [older] brother is in school.
She's been acting funny since on Sunday evening. She couldn't hold it in anymore and, since there is no one else she could actually confide in, she confided in me. Now she's begging me not to tell anyone and not to cause trouble. She only wants me to help her get a drug (if any) that will prevent pregnancy.
She told me about the man coming to see her in her mother's restaurant and said she was going to talk to the man about getting me a job, but when she went into his car, he forced himself on her.
Honestly I am angry right now! I am angry at three things:
First, I am angry at my family. I have a family where the children are afraid to open up, because if you do, you will be blamed and castigated upon. I understand her fear and apprehension about letting other people know, but I just can't let this go.
Secondly, I am angry at our society. How can a man confidently feels he can force himself on a lady and get away with it? What kind of society do we have?
Thirdly, I am angry at myself. I am angry because I feel helpless. I can't let this thing go. I have to deal with this man, but I don't know how to do it without putting my cousin in a difficult position. I have tried to let her know that it is not her fault and that the man needs to pay for this, but she's been begging me to just let it go. She only confided in me because she's really scared of getting pregnant.
According to her though, there was never any real penetration, but the man (who is a high ranking government official) actually "released" ON her, not IN her. (Does that even make sense?) How can I handle this issue right now? For me, I am planning to go all out and let hell break loose and let the heavens fall if they have to.
Please take her to a hospital immediately. Let her get the necessary treatment immediately.
Brazino: What's the rationale Behind our doctors telling patients not to eat for a few days after a surgery is been carried out on them? If doctors in other parts of the World like In Europe, don't tell their patients so, then why is Nigeria's different? Could it be due to Technology?
It is not all surgeries. Only in most abdominal surgeries.
The knowledge was that for abdominal surgeries, the gut/intestines are handled so they need some time to recover.
We wait for the "bowel sounds" to return which shows the intestines have resumed normal movement, otherwise called "peristalsis".
If you eat before the intestines start moving, the food cannot be pushed all the way down and this causes INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION. If it's serious enough, it might require another surgery to fix.
However, knowledge keeps evolving, so that practice is gradually wearing away
Desewa08: This might offend some people but I’ll still say it: iPhones are not for everyone. I’ve used both iPhones and Androids and as much as I respect the clean UI and camera of iPhones not everyone needs a phone that costs as much as rent in Lagos 😭. Some of us just want a phone that: •Won’t die before 3pm •Charges fast •Has decent camera for weekend pictures •Doesn’t freeze mid-Zoom call •Doesn’t make us check our account balance before buying data 😩 I used to think I needed an iPhone until I realized I was basically using a ₦900k phone to scroll Twitter, snap food pics and watch Instagram skits that my Android could’ve shown me the same way 😭. I switched to a realme phone a few months ago and I won’t lie, I had my reservations. I mean, the name alone feels like something you'd see on the back of a power bank 😭 but omo… this phone has been doing the most. ✅ Battery that actually lasts (I charge once a day now) ✅ No unnecessary heat even during long calls ✅ Camera quality? Surprisingly solid. ✅ Smooth UI... No glitchy wahala or clutter It’s not perfect sha. The name still doesn’t sit well with me and people still look at me somehow when I say it but if we’re talking value for money, I’m not sure anything else comes close right now. So let's argue: -Do you need an iPhone or is it just vibes and pressure? -What brand are you using that actually shocked you (in a good way)? -And why do we look down on phones with “unpopular” names?
On point!!!
I just said something like this to someone recently.
Any lady, for instance, who is brandishing an iPhone should be able to explain her source of income.
Zionmdde: To a large extent African traditions were purely evil Killing twins, burning humans alive, osu caste system etc Thank God for colonialism. It came with its evil too but it was a very lesser evil
Sime people who are currently agitating to "go back to tradition" will turn a blind eye to this fact.
A shocking viral video has ignited outrage across Nigeria, showing a tense confrontation between a Good Samaritan and a nurse at a Federal Medical Centre in Abuja. After bringing a critically injured accident victim to the Accident & Emergency unit, the citizen is met with shocking indifference, as a nurse is caught on camera saying, "It's not my work" and refusing to help. This video highlights serious questions about medical negligence, the Nigerian healthcare system, and the duty of care owed to patients in a moment of crisis.
Nigerian hospitals are complex.
Technically, the nurse is right.
It is not her duty to bring out the patient from the car. Hospitals employ people called "porters" who it is their job to carry the victim from the car to the hospital bed, among other things.
The nurse's duty is to check the victim's vital signs once he is on bed and then notify the doctor who then clerks, examines and commences treatment.
We all have wrong notion of how public hospitals function.
Unfortunately, the porters who should do the job may be nowhere to be seen or may have a bad attitude. I've seen this first hand too. And the blame ultimately lands on the wrong person.
In many hospitals, the porters are "too big" for the job, yet they won't resign. To get them to do their work is very difficult. Thus, putting the nurses, who are their direct supervisors, in trouble. Perfect example is this video.
That's why I said Nigeria public hospitals are complex atimes. Many things are wrong.

chrisxxx: I knew he would soon depart as BrainJotter reminded everyone including good and bad people last year that he was still alive. My dad wasn't sick until I posted his picture on my status celebrating his birthday. He didn't see 24 months afterward. Sometimes let the legend be. Don't bring them to social media.
Hmm...
He died at 95 years oh. Was he supposed to live forever?
In a surprising move, Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo reportedly invited a traditional soothsayer to the Government House to foresee whether he will win re-election later this year.
The unusual visit has sparked conversations around tradition, politics, and leadership.
Nbotee: They are mad. Someone is doing his business and doing marketing how best he believes it is and the govt is reacting. Isn't it sad and pitiable that civil servants can actually not afford luxury cars?? Is the guy wrong in what he said about civil servants
Lol.
Which car sef can a civil servant's salary afford in Nigeria currently? This is not a good time to be a civil servant.
Las las, the guy for no add salt to injury by mentioning civil servants.
