A Vocally Fierce Performance that makes one Emotional: A Review of Beyonce’s SPIRIT from The Lion King Album ‘The Gift’

Music legend, Beyonce dropped a new album for; Disney’s The Lion King, and the world stood still. Africa felt her influence as according to the American mother of three, “it is a love letter to Africa”.
I saw the video of one of the tracks (SPIRIT) on her YouTube channel, which moved to Number 1 trending worldwide and gained over 14million views in 48hours!
The song is indeed a vocally fierce performance. Beyonce’s voice is renowned for being effortlessly beautiful and melodramatic. The super control, sustainability, legato notes and effortless control of her powerful vibrator notes were felt in the song!
The fact that she started the song so low, rasp and husky with a dramatic delivery of her mezzo soprano made it exciting!
Her daughter Blue-Ivy’s appearance as a cameo in the video added a different kind of flavor to it. Blue snatched the spotlight with her fierce look.
Queen Bey proved she is indeed a master of agility notes, melodramatic prowess and singing techniques in the second stanza.
She added the icing on the cake in the bridge, where she had a nice slide, agility, strength, balance, coordination with the vocal folds making one want more.
The pitching towards the end killed it for me. She then rasped away into a note showing full range, and that made me emotional!!! She went soft and kept control at same time, making projections effortlessly while she ended the song (Singers know this is damn too difficult to achieve).
She is indeed a Living LEGEND!!!

Twitter user, Adetoro Ayodeji, has taken to the micro blogging platform to cry out, after JAMB arrested a 17 years old girl and dumped her in a cell for days for "mistakenly" registering JAMB twice!

According to him, the girl did the second registration as a result of network failure from JAMB website!

On the 16th of April 2019, a 17yrs old girl was arrested for registering jamb twice.
