Votes count?. What about Ekiti?. We'll vote & hope 4 d best. d renewed interest in voting dis time around is because d people know dat they can't go on dis way & they must take their destiny in their hands if they ar to survive. d conditions ar too harsh 4 ordinary nigerians. Under dis govt, d poor gets poorer & d rich gets richer. We will vote & hope dat our votes will be so massive dat what happened in Ekiti can not be replicated.

According to Buhari

In the last two decades, democracy has grown strong roots in Africa. Elections, once so rare, are now so commonplace. As at the time I was a military head of state between 1983 and 1985, only four African countries held regular multi-party elections. But the number of electoral democracies in Africa, according to Freedom House, jumped to 10 in 1992/1993 then to 18 in 1994/1995 and to 24 in 2005/2006.

This is the highest form of self mockery i have ever seen.

This coup plotter and dictator is on a pulpit giving statistics about electoral processes and democracy in Africa.

Does he have some form of dementia or has he forgotten that he terminated a fledgling democracy that would have been 34 years old and thriving if allowed to evolve.

Trust the Brits at keeping a stiff upper lip while laughing you to scorn in their minds.
Ur post shows dat u know little or nothing about our history. d kleptocracy dat GMB overthrew was an accident waiting to happen. d NPN which he overthrew consisted of d worst set of criminals to be found anywhere in d world. They looted d country to bankruptcy in d greatest economic recession in nigerian history. Ghana dat had a similar problem wit nigeria executed its politicians including 3 former heads of states while Nigeria under GMB merely overthrew & jailed our politicians.
d NPN did not get to power thru free & fair elections & would not leave via elections & d nation was bleeding profusely because of d corruption & profligacy of d thieving politicians.
dat coup dat ridded nigeria of d NPN though unconstitutional was patriotic & even more necessary than d doctrine of necessity dat brought GEJ to power & saved d nation frm imminent crises. dat coup & GMB's performance while in office is d reason why knowledgeable people dat know d situation our country was in, in those days b4 & after GMB came to power still revere him very highly & yearn 4 his return. History will be kind to dis patriot who stepped up when we needed a leader.

That is the greatest victory and achievement a democracy can bestow upon its citizens.
Hahahaha it seems u reason like GEJ. Ar u always dis clueless?. d reason why People ar desperate to vote is because they want GEJ out of Aso rock. When d history of lagos state & indeed nigeria is written, d Asiwaju's name will be written in gold. He transformed d city of lagos thru visionary leadership inspite of spirited attempts by OBJ's govt to cripple his administration. He put in place a succession process which threw up d indefatigable governor of lagos state, Raji Fashola. Tinubu is instrumental to d deepening of democracy in nigeria by scuttling d ambition of d dysfunctional PDP to turn Nigeria into a one-party hegemony.
Calm down on rumours & focus on facts. To date d only accusation against d Jagaban was d politically orchestrated allegation dat he had a foreign account. dis allegation by d OBJ govt was found to be spurious as he had d account b4 becoming governor of lagos state. All allegations against Tinubu ar baseless & unproven unlike Bode George, d leader & godfather of PDP in lagos state who is an ex-convict dat was jailed for corruption.
Nigeria owes d Jagaban & other progressives tons of gratitude 4 breaking d evil strangle-hold of d so-called largest party in africa, d dysfunctional PDP.

What will cut it for me is when Buhari faces up and addresses the following issues back in Nigeria:

(1) Apologises for the thousands of Southerners who were slaughtered as a result of his direct utterances during the 2011 elections.

(2) He has not re-canted his characterization of Southerners and Christians as "dogs and baboons" whose blood will in the streets if he does not win the 2015 elections.

(3) He comes clean on his WASC certificate saga, and tells us if he got into the army through the backdoor since he did pass Mathematics. Requirement was 5 credits including English and Maths.

(4) Comes clean about the confusion regarding his true identity and his name. Is his name "Mohamed Buhari" as we have seen in his school record, or is it "Muhammadu Buhari" as we now know him? Did he hire someone to write his WASC exams? If he wrote that exams, at what point in his life did Buhari change his name?

(5) Explains why he made the statement that attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North. What does he mean by that?

(6) Explains the statement he made in Seminar that he will do everything openly and within his heart to ensure that Sharia is implemented all over Nigeria.

(7) Agrees to similar unscripted session and open debate back home in Nigeria.

Yeah there ar many unanswered questions about dis insurgency -
1) Like d NSA Aziza, a man who was in d best position to know, telling d world dat BH is a PDP affair only 4 him to meet an untimely death.
2) Like our C-in-C palling around wit known terrorists like Tompolo & Asari Dokubo who was arrested in Cotonou on charges of being a BH leader but was later released on d interventions of our president.
3) Like when GEJ d C-in-C wit access to security reports chose to side wit terrorists by rushing to d defence of d terrorist MEND in d independence day bombings. "It is not MEND", d terrorist sympathiser said. It was MEND.
4) Like having a C-in-C who says he knows d sponsors of BH but never went after them.
5) How many sponsors of BH hav been arrested.
And so on & so forth.
My friend there's more than enough blames, questions & perspectives.

As of dis moment boko haram like Al-shabab is an Alqeada affiliate wit training & techniques like suicide bombings, IED etc & that's why routing dem has been more difficult than routing d hapless boko haram of Mohammed Yussuf.
As 4 d sponsorship, weapons etc, there ar several theories & everyone is telling a narrative dat fits their own perspective. Initially BH was local. Unfortunately, d nation took its eye off d ball & they got affiliated to Alqeada & dat was when it became a whole new ball game. If we had nipped it in d bud we would not be having dis discussion now.
