In other words, one is forced to ask Catholics if the "Divine" Praises are meant for the Trinity; or the RCC has added other members to obliterate the concept of the Trinity and instead inched closer towards the contents of the THIRD SECRET of FATIMAH suspected to deify MARY?!? Just in the same way as Catholics chant "Blessed be His Holy Name" so they also place Mary on the same level and chant as well "Blessed be the Name of Mary".

Is it any wonder then that the only religious institution in Christendom to have tried tampering with the 1st and 3rd commandments (to have no other gods; and to reverence God's Name) is the Roman Catholic Church? The Vatican does not rest content with preserving God's Name in holiness; but in order to preserve and propagate her heresy of Mariolatry, this system of 'Vatican magic' has placed Mary alongside God Himself!

Do you ever wonder that staunch Catholics feel no qualms when the see the Name of the Lord jesus Christ lampooned? Have you ever wondered why the same Catholics growl when anyone says anything about MARY?  Now you are coming close to seeing real Catholicism - it is all a matter of MARIOLATRY and not Biblical Christianity.

Its also a great pity that i have not read from this thread a single catholic who can actually defend their faith, Every single doctrine of the catholic church is in the bible. If you have doubts throw a question at me and I would use scripture to prove it since i see you also have not read your bible very well to know that its not just scripture but the traditions of the church that is the foundation of all truth.

Many people use Paul’s writings as proof that Jesus is God. But this is not fair to Paul, because Paul clearly believed that Jesus is not God. Chakula, if you read the bible the way you do, then you would not even believe that God is supreme by the time you are done. You have to realize the fact that the bible has been translated time and time again and has lost most of its true meaning, so unless you get the original manuscripts you would be lost. In NKJV, if i remember correctly in the book of Judges it says in a particular verse, that God possessed the people of Israel during a battle but they couldn't defeat their enemies because they rode in chariots of Gold. We are also told in the new testament that God does not repent but in the OT God repented for making Saul the King of Israel in the same bible version. There are more errors like this all over. This is due to translation. I am sure you know that even in your own language it is not easy translating to English. So you need to put aside this false theology of yours. If Jesus wasn't God, i am very sure he would have let us know from the very beginning. Food for thought: Why would the Jews have wanted so bad to kill a fellow Jew if he wasn't saying something they thought was blasphemous? You need to have done some very serious research to really understand what you are talking about.

I really do not understand what you are saying anymore. I asked a simple question and you are quoting the bible to me. From your initial post you made known the fact that you are catholic and spent some time with priests and you bring this quote for me to consider. I have a lot of doubts about you my friend.

And the police didn't do anything when it was reported to them. My question anyway was what did you as an individual do to sort things out. You saw first hand what was happening did you ever say or do anything about it?

it is really shameful that atheists and the world should be the ones telling us our wrongs, but on careful study are some of this atheist not the product of the church? what do u think a boy or girl that was despoiled by a priest will think of religion? most of the love-peddlers on our streets where bright girls from good homes but because of some form of abuse they now care little of about their lives. i have had the opportunity to live with priests and the experience will make any man loose his faith in God. i am not saying that all priests are bad, thier are really some very good priests but the number of the bad eggs is alarming! we as catholics knows this and we the members are also involved in this cover up. right here in nigeria there are victims especially girls but there is no one to speak for them not even their parents. please lets not be fanatics, i see this as a revival its only coming from outsiders because we have refused to do nothing about it.

So what have you done about it? Since you were a first hand witness did you report to the Bishop or anyone in authority?

Vatican did not hand over nada.  Criminals were caught by criminal investigators.  If there was no criminal investigation I don't think that the catholic church would by it's own initiative hand over it's paedoophile priests.

Yes i had to change that cause i read through it and figured that was a lame comment and i could do better than that. If you do a research on child abuse cases, you would find several cases where after its (the Vatican) own investigations, the Priests were handed over to the authorities.
I agree with you that a lot of crazy stuff goes down in the RCC but it happens everywhere, the devil is looking to destroy all form of good, we must realize that the destruction of Christianity and all that is good is utmost on his mind and he would use any means necessary or do you want the guy to be lonely at the end?

Anywayz i think all Hoyos was trying to say is that a good father would not abandon his child no matter what he has done. But that doesnt mean the father has condoned the act or accepted it as right. You also have to understand that like a Doctor or Lawyer or any professional, a Priest also carries the code of strict confidentiality. It was via confession the Bishop found out about the rape incident.

Given all we now know about the cover-up of clerical sexual abuse by Rome it's difficult to see what is significant about the Pope's meeting with a small number of victims in Malta. I appreciate that it may have been meaningful to those who chose to meet the Pope, but it hardly represents a major breakthrough in addressing the global scandals engulfing the Roman Catholic church.


One might have expected that such meetings, as part of a meaningful engagement with victims, would have been an essential component of an appropriate response to abuse by priests. They are at odds with the ongoing denial of the Vatican of its responsibility for the cover-up of crimes against children and its use of sovereign immunity to block efforts to hold it to account before civil courts.

The perversity of blaming everyone else, including at times the victims themselves for the crimes and cover-ups of the church in a ridiculous attempt to dodge accountability, whilst expressing concern for victims seems lost on the Vatican.

But there was a much more significant event this weekend. Speaking at a Catholic University, Cardinal Dario Hoyos revealed that a letter he wrote praising French bishop Pierre Pican for not passing information about a rapist priest to the French police was sent to every Catholic bishop in the world in 2001 with the approval of Pope John Paul II. Pican had been convicted of failing to report abuse by a Catholic abbot sentenced to 18 years in prison for paedophilia.

In his letter Cardinal Hoyos wrote: "I congratulate you for not denouncing a priest to the civil administration ,  I am pleased to have a colleague in the episcopate who, in the eyes of history and of all other bishops in the world, preferred prison to denouncing his son and priest."

Hoyos was at the time one of the most senior figures in the Catholic Church. So there it is, proof that the Vatican actively supported the cover-up of clerical sexual abuse.

Also exposed is the ongoing deceit of the Vatican's protestations that the church has not covered up abuse. Only last week, the Pope's second-in-command, Cardinal Bertone, said the church had never impeded investigations of abuse by priests. Meetings are all very well, but surely honesty and a commitment to justice would be much more meaningful?

let me give you the real story;

I am sure you know the meaning of denouncing, it does not mean handing over. Both Priest and his Bishop went to jail. They were handed over to the authorities by the Vatican. Read on;

A critical level for me is one whereby a new reaction is initiated.  In this case the reaction is total revulsion for an organisation.  It is not so much the fact that human errors have been made but the fact that this same organisations makes a claim of piety and moral superiority that is not only unfounded but evidently mendacious.  
I never said that celibacy had anything to do with pedophilia.  I asked why the incidence of pedeophilia is so closely correlated with the catholic church.  I haven't found an explanation yet but I am wiling to discuss the various possible causes with anyone that is similarly interested in the matter.

I never said you said celibacy was an issue it was for the other folks in here that said the reason for this trend was celibacy. I also think you got another fact wrong, "an organization that makes claim of piety, " the church only claims to be the one true earthly church of Christ.

The reason i stick to the earth is all these organizations all belong to the earth both religious and otherwise. You still also have not gotten the point were the media over blows every story, i am very sure you have heard what the Vatican and the pope himself has to say about the pope supporting pedophile priests and about the cover-up. THe Church of England has definately become permissive of homosexuality.  If the number of homosexual cases within the church rose to a certain critical level, for instance the level of pedophilic behaviour in the Roman Catholic church, then it would be right to call C of E a Gay Institution.  I would agree with that. 

It is often said that the ancient Greeks were Gay.  The fact is there were so many gay people in that society that that statement becomes valid.  Although I am sure that there many  ancient greeks that weren't gay.

I still say your reasoning is very flawed. Remember the question i asked, since all these sinners leave on earth should we therefore say the Earth has become permissive of all things bad so everyone please move on to Mars?

And what for you is a critical level? Do you think its only in the RCC we have such because we always over-flog issues when it concerns them because we want to prove they do not know what they are doing. Make use of the net and do a proper research, then you would understand better. Which is worse a church that has approved sin with no regrets or one that its members sin and the church cautions them? If i remember clearly it was only this same institution you call names that stood up and said no abortion no matter how the child came, no to divorce also except it is based on infidelity, and so many more. Do a proper research before you come up with your accusations, do not talk based on hearsay.

The point has gone beyond what individual priests of the church have done.  The point is also that the 'church's own mechanism' for dealing with it not only failed but served to perpetuate the matter. 

Another point is that a human organisation can claim to have human failings but an organisation that has the gall to claim that it is guided by the HOly spirit has got no excuses and now that we call to question the presence of the spirit in the church that calls to question every action and ruling that the church has every made.

Isn't it weird that when something bad happens in the catholic church, the whole world condemns her but it happens in another church or any other religion the atheists are not bothered and still we do not understand.

We sit here and judge the pope, we are not even sure he covered up anything, and still he has apologized on behalf of the church.

The pope is Christ's vicar on earth (Just for the record, I used to be a protestant pastor). Stop insulting him lest you bring something far worse on yourself. Let us say he actually covered it up and that in itself is a sin, do you think he would not have asked for forgiveness from God, on the last day we would see him in heaven and wonder is God just. I think you all should be bothered about yourselves and leave the pope to his faith.

For those of us who think Peter was not made leader you really need to read your bibles yourself and figure out what Christ was saying in Matt 16:18-19. And so that you know, Jesus did not speak Hebrew or Greek but Aramaic and Peter was actually called Kepha which means rock in English,  translated in Greek (Petros). Also read John 21:16-18. God used Peter greatly in the foundation of the church. It was Peter who first proclaimed the Gospel on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:14-47). Peter was also the first to take the Gospel to the Gentiles (Acts 10:1-48), there are loads more of this. In this sense, Peter was the rock “foundation” of the church.

Celibacy is not the cause of this evil because the world is full of married men and women who do what some priests are doing and even far worse. For me the problem is the devil is working hard and has infiltrated the Christian kingdom with his men, like i always say these men of God be it catholic, protestant, Imam, etc need our prayers far more than we need theirs. So i disagree with Pastor AIO who says RCC is a pedophilia institution. Should we say the Anglican church is a GAY institution because one of its branches married a gay couple? Or should we say because the world has such people that the Earth is a bad planet ? We need a better reasoning here. In every sphere of life there is always a bad egg that does not mean everything is bad. Even Jesus had a black sheep in his team did that make him not the messiah?

And for all the people quoting law remember you are innocent until proven guilty. All this argument about the cover-up is based on the words of an atheist lawyer, they are not fact.

Many Jews accepted Jesus as the Messiah & followed him.

It was religious authorities who rejected him for 2 reasons:
1) They thought the real messiah would throw off the Romans.
2) They figured they would become the leaders in charge.

Those who accepted Jesus, became the first Christians.

They realised Jesus was for all mankind, not just Jews.

His mission was to spread the word of Yahweh and to lead his people in the path of righteousness against their Roman, Assyrian, Persian foes and previous oppressors. Jesus NEVER said that he and God were one, in fact there were three books written about him in the perspective of 3 men (Matthew, Mark, Luke). One during and two AFTER his time. The new testament was written primarily out of hear say and was remixed by non-orthodox Jews who we now know as Christians. Jesus was not hated by the Jews as Christians WRONGFULLY declare as he was seen as a messiah (messenger of God out of many) to them but not as GOD. Christians wrongfully detest Jews for seeing him as the MAN he was. They believed these messengers come in every generation and in all forms; Sent here BY God to keep humanity in order and most importantly keep the Jewish faith in relevance. The division came because the TRUE Jews did not believe in an afterlife but their imposers such Paul and his Christianity beliefs (a pawn to get Gentiles to believe) did. Because of their rejection early Christians tried to "demonify" the Jews to justify THEIR crime which was the crucification of Jesus Christ. (Christ Greek for 'Messiah' again a JEWISH word). So with that said the ROMANS were the ones who killed Jesus NOT the Jews. Why are Jews as a whole falsely blamed? Let's make it simple. There is a tribe called X-men (Jews). They intertwine their beliefs with that of the Original X-Men AND tries to justify their killing of Man X by casting blame on Man XX and the X-Men tribe as a whole. The YX-tribe recruits begin to believe that Man X was speaking for them and that the X-men tribe whom he belonged to was evil and began to assault the tribe of X-Men and their God X-Weh in years to come. Thousands of years later the YX-tribe commits heignous crimes against humanity. Sails to other parts of the world and uses the SAME REMIXED beliefs of their previous victims the X-men to "brainwash" these new uncivilized "heathens" sadly with success.

I do not know where you got your own history from. I have just this one question to all those in here who say the pope, the priests and whoever is involved with the catholic church should not be celibate (note this question was poised by an ATHEIST);

Are we saying there are no married people in this world who have committed such sins, are we saying that if they all get married that all these evil virtues would disappear. If an atheist can think like this then why would true Catholics say the  kind of things i am seeing here? Can we do a count of how many priests have actually done such things?

I am also sure there are men in here who also sleep with young boys. We have to realize that these men of God are humans and need more prayers than even us. I think you should stop arguing with the fellas in here. I own all 3 7th generation consoles and i know dat graphically the PS3 has not been tested.

If any of the fellas in here can give me a game on the Xbox 360 that surpasses the graphics of Uncharted 2, i would keep my mouth shut. What makes a product is the quality and not how fast it comes out.

Besides you would be wasting your time trying to convince anyone in here as they just love arguing off point. I remember last year when i told the fellas in here that Fifa had taken over as the best soccer game since 2008 and in 2010 they were going to use PES to shine the floor, they kept on arguing. The rest of that story is history.

You guys have not seen anything yet. wait till heavy rain, GOW 3, and GT5 come out, then you will understand better.

Have you guys wondered why most developers say it is difficult to make games for the PS3? Did u hear/read what Naughty Dog had to say about the PS3. You guys should learn to give meaningful criticism, if you said the PS3 was too expensive when it came out and you are pissed because of that i would say i feel the same way too or it takes so long to make games, then i would agree with you.

And for the records i actually work for a gaming software company in canada, so i know what i am talking about.

We are in the 7th generation of gaming consoles and these 3 are the clear leaders. There has been a lot of debate as to which one is the best. I have heard a lot of people say one is the best but they do not know why its the best, so here we are going to figure out which one is the best but with facts.

I would ask for all to respect each others views so that we can conclude this before the year runs out.

Guys i need real strong prophecies with precise revelations. I go back to Nostradamus as one of our posters decided to compare both of them. If you read his prophecies, you would see the accuracy of his predictions, names, events as they occur and so on. Thats what i want TB's supporters to give us so that we also can see the light too.

there are three conclusions:

If you base your statement in 1 above as reason for him being real, then you have failed again cos Christ himself told us that one generation would not pass before false prophets would come in his name, performing all kinds of miracles and seeing visions and so on. I think we should just do what is right in God's sight and live our lives the way Christ has asked us to. If TB decides to deceive the people, it would only be for a while before the truth comes out.

I would also like to have some other prophecies he has made that have come to pass, so we can make sure someone else has not made them before now. And if you have evidence i wouldn't mind also.

Ok, let us even go further to say his powers are in doubt, but why do the world celebrate Nostradamus today. The answer is that he is not a Nigerian Pastor. If he were to be, Nigerians will tell the entire world that he is not born again and that he attended no bible school and he did not grow in any church. Haba!!!!

First off Nostradamus was not a pastor . Secondly, only a handful of people believe him even though his prophecies are quite accurate. Thirdly, his prophecies are about things that actually affect our lives both religiously and socially. Fourthly there is no documented evidence of him harassing any female or male sexually. Fifth, he was christian because most of his work was connected to the bible and he was a devout catholic. The list goes on and on and on, so please look for someone else for your comparison because this one you no get am.

Guys you have to remember that these are just demos, there would be major adjustments before the final release of both games.

There is nothing wrong with liking a game over another. I am actually a PES fan, but reality has dawned on me for a while now. The Header to this forum says "FIFA Vs Pro Evolution Soccer: Which Soccer Franchise Is Better?", the proper answer should have been something like this, "there was a time PES would have kicked FIFA's ass but right now FIFA is whooping PES ass. But all said i pick PES over FIFA since i like that franchise better"
