Theflint1: Hello, congratulations on your score, very impressive. Preparing for the TCF and trying to get materials ahead of it...please can you provide information on some of the materials you used in preparation, and maybe where I can get them from?
1. The 100 long texts for your CE...what's the full name of the book/material?
2. What YouTube clips did you use to prepare for the CO?
3. The summary list of topics for EE, where can I download it?
4. The summary list of topics for EO, where can I download it?
5. The "golden site" for preparation, please can you help with the website's name? Hi, I think I can assist. For your questions 1-4 they primarily concern TEF exams. As you stated that you’re preparing for TCF you may not need them The site is, formation (dash) TCFcanada (dot) com |

This is a very good effort 🤗 you will smash in the next exam, Bon courage! thelma76: Okay lovely people! The results are out and in exactly one week . As promised, breakdown below: CO: 448 - B2 CE: 496 - B2 EO: 11 - B2 EE: 10 - B2
If you’re familiar with the requirements, you’d already know I have to rewrite as I needed 10 extra points in CO only, for this result to suffice. All this to say, please practice the past questions to stupor lol. It’s annoying because it’s just one section making me spend this money again and worst, the earliest date is June 3rd. But c’est pas grave, people have had it worse and they didn’t relent so we go again. Thanks for all your support and encouragement. Btw, would try responding again to the moniker who asked for the questions, if this site doesn’t ban me |

79733139: Before you take the exams, it is best that you get a French teacher (or a francophone) to test you on the speaking and writing test. Tell your "mock examiner" to be as clear-eyed and as unsparing as possible in his assessment of your performance. The exams have become too expensive now (except you don't live in Nigeria). You don't want to be going in with "I hope", you want to go into the exam hall with super confidence that someone else has objectively tested you and assured you that your level is good enough. Thank you for the advice, I already have a tutor been working with one since I started |

Customer service jobs fall under TEER 4 and are in the unskilled category which means you can’t get points for work experience with a customer service role rotexteymie: Hello,
Does anyone have any idea how I can claim points for my 1year customer service job in Canada? Just recommendations on NOC that can give me points.
Thanks. |

thelma76: Finally, I got B2 in both CO and CE but now I heard there’s a B2 haut and B2 Bas. And I didn’t pay attention to the scores because I thought the grades mattered most. Additionally, I had to leave the room immediately after so little to no time to take note of it. Now I’m anxious because I’m not sure I got B2 haut as I can’t remember seeing any 500s in either scores. I guess we’ll wait and see in three weeks as they advised. I’m super anxious and don’t even feel as relieved as I thought I would.
Finally, practice past questions till you’re sick of it!! I wish I had and if I have to rewrite this, I wouldn’t fret at all given this experience I now have. Again, it’s me…the one who started actively learning in September…I think all things are possible with a little determination. I’ll definitely try again if that’s required eventually! Thank you for sharing your experience and congratulations in advance. Tbh, you have really done well whether you get the B2 haut or bas, because girl look at how far you’ve come in just seven months! I started earlier than you did in July and I’ve postponed my exam twice now because I don’t feel ready yet 🫣 Dieu m’aide! |

You are supposed to evaluate the degree that would give you the highest score in your case, masters. Evaluating your bachelor’s degree is not necessary. I don’t know how it works if you evaluate your bachelors and try to evaluate your masters down the line. Emeoko24: Please bail me out my people 🙏🙏
I have paid for WES couple weeks back for my BSc as my masters result wont come out till the end of May. My Uni contact just called me now that my transcript is ready and they’re about sending it to WES digitally. My worries;
1. Is it advisable to ask my Uni contact to hold on till my MSc transcript (different uni) is ready in May so I can add it to my WES profile and evaluate both at once OR
2. Should I give him the go-ahead to send my BSc to WES for evaluation and add my MSc later in May when it’s ready ?
I’m at loss because it just occurred to me now that WES charges same amount irrespective of how many documents you’re evaluating I.e they charge the same amount for evaluating multiple documents like BSc & MSc at once as evaluating just one. Am I right please ?
3. I think it won’t be commonsensical if I do the duo separately as they will charge me again by the time I want to evaluate my MSc in May. |

Bonjour tout le monde 👋🏾
I recently came across the app Busuu and so far its been the best gamified app for my French learning experience. I regret not using it earlier and paying for premium version on Duolingo. I’m recommending it for anyone who is looking at starting or improving their French learning in bite sizes in a gamified format. The levels (A1-B2) are broken into bite sized chapters with shorter lessons which is way more easier to navigate than Duolingo’s long winding lessons/chapters that never end. There is less repetition on Busuu which allows you learn even more concepts as you continue. Also Busuu emphasizes the importance of learning spelling well as answers spelled right without the right accents would be marked wrong unlike Duolingo where you can get by without paying attention to spellings/accents. Another interesting aspect is that you can connect with native speakers of your TL (target language) who can improve your communication skills, Duolingo does not offer this feature.
I know this seems like a Busuu ad and I don’t know if this app has been talked about elsewhere on this thread but I just wanted to share my experience so far. After maintaining a 205+ days learning streak on Duolingo and 30+ days on Busuu, I regret not using Busuu earlier. Also please note that despite both apps, the role of other more serious avenues for learning (one-on-one tutoring, French texts, group classes etc) cannot be underestimated. The apps can be used as supplementary materials for learning and not the main source.
PS: I also tried another app, LingQ but I think it’s more useful for vocabulary and reading comprehension. Also there are lots of French books on that app as well as a recommendation of French movies on Netflix. I recommend it too. |

Then find another genuine way, apply for jobs in Canada, go for provincial nomination or heck, go to another country. Why follow shortcuts? Did they use fraud and cheating to swear for you people? Tufia kwa! Feignlies: For many English speakers, the idea of preparing for the TEF/TCF exams for 1-2years is very unusual and many are shy to admit it. This is not to discredit the efforts of those diligently studying for these exams. However, some of us simply do not have the luxury of time to dedicate to learning to speak or write French, let alone the certainty of achieving a high score |

79733139: Look for TCF past/sample questions and attempt them like you were in exam conditions. Get a French speaker who is on a higher level to give you a mock speaking test... do this at least 5 times for all tests...and you will have a clear idea if you are good enough to write the TCF exam. Thank you, this is exactly what I’m doing right now. |

aurorae1: I understand better what you meant. I'd say weigh your options, if time is of the essence and you're ready for the exams and the price difference isn't a limiting factor, just take it here in Lagos. Yes, it's way more expensive now , the naira is fairing badly . Time is always of the essence in these things and I can’t say I’m 100% ready but I still have sometime to the exam even if I do it earlier in Nigeria. Money is not a limiting factor, I’m just worried that with the way they haven’t announced any dates in the country I’m at and how slow they are to responding to emails maybe I’d be better off writing in Nigeria. Thanks a lot for your assistance, I really appreciate ❤️ |

The thing is I reside in Europe (non-French speaking) but I’ll be visiting Nigeria in the coming weeks. The country I’m in has not yet published dates for exams till now and they are not responding to my emails so I thought I can register and write the exam while I’m visiting Nigeria. The price they gave me last year is considerably cheaper than what I’m seeing on AF Lagos site that’s why I’m asking |

What are the options available to me to boost my scores?
I hear i can use PNP. How do I go about this? Ontario is on my mind but I’m open minded. What provinces are the easiest to obtain Province Nomination from? To answer question one -Max out IELTS -Learn French and write/pass one of the French exams |

Doubleoh7: Better start preparing a room for him cos if there's one thing that is certain with western nations, so long as you're not their citizen, once you've been convicted for a crime, na straight deportation for you after doing the time. Even Switzerland deport people born by foreigners in their country to their parents' country of origin after they are done doing their time People born by foreigners doesn’t mean citizenship unless that child lives there for 18 years or so. Citizenship by birth in Europe is mainly jus sanguinis (by blood ie one of your parents must be a citizen) |
