Ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has been challenged by Governor Aminu Bello Masari – Governor Masari took a swing at Jonathan, asking him to give details of his impact in the Niger Delta – Masari has challenged leaders of the Niger Delta to come clean on how the affairs of the region has been run Former speaker of the house of representatives and Katsina state governor, Aminu Bello Masari has lamented that for 6years, a Niger Delta president failed to develop the region despite huge revenues from oil within the administration. Aminu Masari 09283 Governor Masari says the leaders from the Niger Delta region, failed their people. Although Masari did not name anyone, the reference to a Niger Delta president was apparently made to Goodluck Jonathan, the immediate past president, under whose presidency oil price averaged $ 100 per barrel. In an interview published in the current edition of The Interview, Masari called out Niger Delta leaders, challenging them to “come clean” on how they managed the region’s resources. READ ALSO: Presidency orders the probe of Emir Sanusi and Prof. Soludo? “For six years, we had a Niger Delta president. Let us see what difference he made in six years when he was president,” he said. “When the excess crude account became pocket money, how much of the money went to the Niger Delta?” He asked the federal government to publish how much the region has received since the 13 percent derivation started. According to a statement by Azu Ishiekwene, managing director/editor-in-chief of the magazine, “the interview features Masari firing on all cylinders”. The former speaker of the house of representatives took on Senate President Bukola Saraki, and explained why the third term bid of former President Olusegun Obasanjo failed. For the first time, he spoke at length on ‘budget padding’, and then, he “removed his gloves on his predecessor, Ibrahim Shema”. Asked what he did to ensure accountability of oil money when he was speaker and also a ranking member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Masari said: “The house of representatives has been friendly to the people of the Niger Delta than any other institution in the country.” The magazine’s issue also contains detailed interviews with Chioma Ajunwa and the world’s most famous foodies, the Roca Brothers. In the same vein, Alhaji Masari has lamented that the way resources were lavished by the past PDP administration is the major reason some states in the country cannot pay workers’ salaries regularly. Governor Masari made the disclosure when he received the Katsina state officials of Munazzamatul Fitiyanul Islam on a courtesy visit in Government House Katsina yesterday, July 25. Nigeria has lost over N1.1 trillion in oil revenues in the last five months -This is due to militants’ attacks on oil installations in the oil-rich Niger Delta region – The figure does not include losses in gas revenues resulting from disruptions in gas supplies A report by Daily Trust indicates that Nigeria has lost over N1.1 trillion in oil revenues since the resurgence of militancy in the oil-rich Niger Delta region. The report stated oil installations in the region has been attacked 28 times between February 10, 2016 and end of last month by the rampaging militants. Niger Delta militants have been disrupting oil production in the oil-rich region Niger Delta militants have been disrupting oil production in the oil-rich region This figure does not include losses in gas revenues resulting from disruptions in gas supplies to domestic power and industrial plants as well as export markets. Nigeria is currently struggling to maintain its crude oil production following a spate of militant attacks. Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers continue to disrupt oil production which in turn, affects the Nigerian economy. Nigeria is largely dependent on proceeds from oil to fund the budget but the resurgence of militancy in the Niger Delta region has affected the country’s finances. READ ALSO: Nigerian companies declare losses as recession bites harder The 2016 budget is based on daily crude production of 2.2 million barrels per day but the attacks pushed output down by about a third between April and August 29. Production dropped by 300,000 bpd in April. In May, production went down from 600,000 bpd to 1.5m bpd. In June, it dropped by 700,000 bpd, 700,000 bpd in July and last Thursday output was down to around 1.4m bpd with 800,000 bpd lost. At an average oil price of $ 42.01 and 46.94/barrel and exchange rate of N197/$ in April and May, Nigeria was denied crude oil revenues valued at $ 378m or a Naira equivalent of N75billion and N171billion respectively. The average price of crude oil in June and July were $48.79 and N41.37 per barrel, while the value of the local currency was estimated at N285 and N292 to a dollar. Nigeria was therefore denied crude oil revenue valued at N292billion and N262billion respectively. At about $48.31/barrel and N305 exchange rate, an estimated $112m or N341billionn has been lost in the last 29 days of August. This puts the total crude oil (excluding gas) revenue shortfall between April and August 29 at N1.14trillion. The Niger Delta Avengers attacks have cut Nigeria’s output to the lowest in almost 30 years, threatening the projected N820billion oil revenue proposed in the budget for this year. Also, in the last five months, supply disruptions have significantly affected the country’s oil exports as four of the nation’s five largest export streams have been totally suspended. At the moment, Forcados, Qua Iboe, Bonny Light and Brass River are under force majeure, a legal clause that allows companies to cancel or delay deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances. READ ALSO: 10 signs the Nigerian economy is fully in recession The federal government has already informed Nigerians that it will result to borrowing to fund the 2016 budget due to the situation. The government is already in the the process of appointing two lead managers and a financial adviser to organize the issuance of $1 billion of Eurobonds this year. According to the Debt Management Office (DMO), the sale is the first tranche of a $ 4.5 billion Nigeria Global Medium- Term Notes Issuance Programme that runs through 2018. The government is also in talks with the Chinese import-export bank – China Exim Bank for a $ 21 billion loan to finance the budget and develop new infrastructure projects. The situation is even more worrisome for states. Recently, some states had to go home empty after their statutory allocation was all deducted to service their debts. About N32 billion was deducted from states allocations from the Federation Account in April for different loans they incurred. Majority of the states across the country are now struggling with payment of workers salaries and projects execution. The situation has also led to Nigeria losing its status as Africa’s biggest economy. South Africa has overtaken Nigeria as Africa’s biggest economy in dollar terms. Nigeria’s minister of finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun had informed the Nigerian Senate last month that the country is “technically in recession”. READ ALSO: Again, FG warn banks, companies not to lay off staff despite economic crunch Meanwhile, renowned economist and businessman, Mr Atedo Peterside has predicted that the recession currently experienced in Nigeria will last for a long time. And I gave him 6 conditions before we could accede to that request.” Chief Falae told members of the SPD National Executive Council in Abuja that he was ashamed to be linked with the $2.1billion arms scandal. He told the party stalwarts that he would open up on the contentious N100 million that he collected from Chief Tony Anenih, and “silence the blackmailers.” Around the same period, Falae was reportedly booed by the congregation at his local church -St. David’s Cathedral, Ijomu street in Akure during a Sunday service, after his name was mentioned as one of the beneficiaries of the deal. Borno state attorney general Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan says the arrogance and desperation for power of Ali Modu sheriff may have nurtured the insurgency through his actions while in office – The AG asked why Modu Sheriff tendered an apology to the Boko Haram sect on July 5, 2011 Wani sabon Ciyaman jam'iyyar PDP ta kasa Sanata Ali Modu Sheriff The Borno state attorney general and commissioner of Justice, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan, says the arrogance and desperation for power of Borno state former governor, Ali Modu sheriff may have nurtured the insurgency through his actions while in office. He state this while speaking at the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA conference in Port- Harcourt. The AG blamed Sheriff for the death of Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram. “In an interview on Sunday Politics on Channels TV, Ali Modu Sheriff said about two weeks ago, that he had seen Mohammed Yusuf at the Giwa military Barracks in Maiduguri after he was arrested during 2009 crisis. The important question is why was Yusuf moved from the military custody to the police headquarters if not for him to be killed, especially given the fact that Buji Foi was taken to the same police headquarters and killed.” READ ALSO: Controversy: Fulani herdsmen attack, Fani Kayode rains curses, attacks Buhari “What did Sheriff as Chief security officer do to secure Muhammad Yusuf. Why was Muhammad Yusuf not allowed to make open confessions which could have included his claim of being betrayed. “On July 5, 2011, former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff tendered an apology to the Boko Haram sect “for whatever he might have done wrong to them”. Why did he apologize, if he knew he did nothing wrong to the sect.” Noting the killing of 17 members of the group allegedly by security officers while on a funeral procession in 2009, the commissioner said the complacency of Sheriff government on the issue was a moral burden. “The Borno Government under Ali Modu Sheriff completely disregarded that incident. The government did not issue statement to condemn the shooting; the sympathise with the victims; the Government did not conduct any inquiry on the shooting; the government neither visited the shot sect members in the hospital nor did it care to pay for the medication of the 17 injured sect members. “Sheriff was told by different public commentators, including some officials in his administration that his act of disregard for that bloody incident could be viewed by the sect as an affront yet out of arrogance, Sheriff ignored all wise counsel with his government acting as if there was no incident at all. “In an interview on Daily Trust a few days later, leader of the sect, Malam Muhammad Yusuf threatened a reprisal attack alleging that the actions of the Borno State Government which neither condemned the shooting, made inquiry nor empathized with the sect was an indication that the shooting was orchestrated with the aim of eliminating his followers . “A day or so after the interview, Yusuf delivered a sermon in Hausa language, titled, “open letter to President Umaru Musa Yar’adua” and directed his followers to go and arm themselves in preparation of self defense and eventful Jihad in response to the shooting of his 17 followers. “Even while Muhammad Yusuf issued this directive and threat for Jihad, Governor Ali Modu Sheriff still disregarded the possible room to make peace with the sect. “On Tuesday, July 21, 2009, some members of the sect, 9 in number were arrested in possession of 74 empty bomb shells, a large quantity of gun powders, chemicals and other components of making improvised explosive devices. They were arrested in Biu, headquarters of Biu local government area in southern part of Borno State, which is about 180 kilometers away from Maiduguri. “On Friday, July 24, 2009, the nine arrested sect members were paraded at the police headquarters in Maiduguri with their materials for making Improvised explosive devices on display by the police. READ ALSO: Boko Haram: Buhari set to bring back Chibok girls “Commander of the group of 9 sect members, Inusa Ibrahim Sabo told journalists on record that they were in possession of the explosive materials in preparation to defend themselves against Ali Modu Sheriff’s operation flush. He said they were directed by Muhammad Yusuf to arm themselves because they presumed the shooting of their brothers was intentional and they were no longer safe. “That very Friday of July 24, 2009, the first explosion in Maiduguri took place. It was a locally made bomb which exploded at night in the residence of one Hassan Sani Badami from Biu, a follower of the sect trained in making explosive devices. The bomb exploded while it was being prepared by Badami. Another follower of the sect working with Badami sustained severe injuries while Badami’s wife and child were taken to the headquarters of Operation Flush on Dikwa road. “The following day, Muhammad Yusuf in reaction, described Badami’s death as ticket for him into paradise. Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to deal with Niger Delta militants the same way he treated Boko Haram terrorists. Aliko Dangote is said to be very happy with this new development and progress recorded by his company – Sources say the price of rice will crash further after commencement of sales Nigerians’ challenges with the purchase of rice may soon become a thing of the past as Dangote Rice is set to hit the market stalls. According to The Nation, the management of the rice- producing company has commenced the harvest of its first tranche and Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest billionaire, is said to be very happy with the latest development. Sources within the organisation informed the business mogul has expressed satisfaction with the recent development more because it will help ease the pains of Nigerians, who are presently groaning over the N20, 000 per bag cost of the commodity. Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is said to be very excited about this new development. The source said: “We are really excited about the progress so far recorded in this our rice projects. Once we commence the sales of our rice, I can authoritatively tell you that the price of rice will crash in the country as we should have enough, in the next few years to make importation of rice non-attractive again into the country.” Recall that Dangote inaugurated its 8,000-hectare rice out- growers’ scheme in Hadejia, Jigawa state early this year, when he distributed rice seedlings to farmers. The scheme is said to help reduce the level of Nigeria’s imports and potentially provide direct and indirect jobs to about 10, 000 Nigerians. Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) also recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) to invest $1billion (N165 million) on establishment of fully integrated rice production and processing operations across Nigeria. Farmland in Edo, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara, and Niger states totalling 150,000 hectares have been penciled down for the commercial production of rice paddy. Meanwhile, Ganiyu Quadri, the chairman, Alimosho local government in Lagos state has revealed that the price of a bag of rice, which is currently sold for N18,500, will drop to N9000 before December. Speaking after receiving a delegation of Rotary Club of Akowonjo 9110, led by by its district-governor, Patrick Ikheloa, and president, Shola Abidakun, Quadri gave assurance that the agro-business scheme run by the Lagos state government in Kebbi state will put an end to the high cost of foodstuff in the southwest. http://davesblog.over-blog.com/2016/08/hurray-price-of-rice-set-to-crash-further-as-dangote-rice-hits-nigerian-stalls-soon.html |

CAN president Rev Supo Ayokunle has attacked John Kerry over his recent visit – The CAN president accused the US administration of supporting the excesses of the APC – Rev Ayokunle also said that the government has laid a siege on Christians kerry-sulatan- United States Secretary of State John Kerry talks with the Sultan of Sokoto during his visit The US secretary of state, John Kerry has come under heavy attack by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), over his recent visit to Nigeria. Mr John Kerry was told off by CAN, who say that his recent visit to Nigeria was discriminatory, personal and divisive. Rev Supo Ayokunle, the President of CAN, alleged that Kerry’s actions during his visit would further the federal government’s plan to continue to persecute the teeming population of Nigerian Christians. During his visit, John Kerry only visited the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, he also met with the 19 northern governors, of whom only three are Christians. Also at the Presidential Villa, where Kerry was hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari, he met with select northern governors, which also led to criticism as to who selected the governors that were allowed to meet with him. According to Vanguard, Rev Ayokunle, told journalists in an interview in Abuja that Kerry disrespected the heterogeneous nature of Nigeria, while nakedly showing favour to northern Nigeria and Muslims to the detriment of the Christian community. Ayokunle said that the attitude and disposition of the Secretary of States and the discrimination he adopted during the visit supports accusations that the President Barack Obama’s administration, alongside Kerry and other strategic US politicians in the Obama’s government openly supported the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2016 general elections, which produced the current leadership of the country. The CAN president also asked John Kerry to “stop interfering in Nigerian affairs”, explaining that as far as he was concerned the visit was a complete flop and exposed Kerry’s negligence of Nigeria’s unity in diversity ideology that has remained the bedrock of the country. READ ALSO: REVEALED! The real reason John Kerry visited Nigeria – Femi Fani-Kayode He said: “Why did he meet with 19 states governors, without southern governors, is Nigeria the north alone, why did you go to the north alone?” There’s a siege on Christians. Kerry, his actions speak volume, his actions, body language were very divisive. “If US Secretary of States is coming for official visit, it’s understandable, but we demand explanation why he was selective. Has the Sultan Palace become another State House? Was Kerry invited by the Sultan? We have 36 States in Nigeria; he only selected northern governors to meet with them. It was a visit to the north, not to Nigeria. It was surely a very divisive visit. With the visit to the north, Kerry’s visit has heightened fear and tension among Christians in Nigeria, if they cannot bring us together, they should not interfere in our affairs.” Ayokunle while speaking on the killing of Christians in northern Nigeria, said that based on government the selective persecution of Christians mostly by the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Nigerian Police, it was obvious the administration was anti- Christians. He said: “Have the DSS arrested the Muslim youths who burnt down a Catholic Church in Niger State because they were worshiping on Friday? What happened to the ECWA Pastor who was killed in his farm in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State? What have happened with Redeemed Preacher who was murdered in Kubwa, Abuja? Look at the recent case in Zamfara State, Christians where burnt alive. What has happened? They will tell you, they are still investigating. Have they been arrested and charged them to court? If the government cannot sit up and protect Christians, tolerance is going to break down, they should do the right thing, they should not provoke Christians. Have we ever seen this government bring anybody to book?” READ ALSO: Fast all in one — UC Browser He tasked President Buhari “to come out clean”, adding that “a government that doesn’t listen is not for the people.” He said that the police were slow in persecuting Muslims, but fast in persecuting Christians. The CAN leader called on the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to intervene urgently in the case of Mr Joe Chinakwe who was arrested for naming his dog ‘Buhari’. He said: “The NBA should take up that case and ascertain whether the man has the right to give any name to a dog. They should come and protect the man’s human rights and set the record why the case is not a criminal offence.” Meanwhile, Femi Fani-Kayode also criticized the visit saying in part: “I wonder if they still believe that Clinton and Obama love ALL Nigerians and not just those that they helped to get into power last year? Think hard and think deep Christian before it is too late and you are overwhelmed. Consider the religious war that took place in Lebanon years ago and that is taking place in Syria today.” http://davesblog.over-blog.com/2016/08/tension-christian-leaders-attack-us-secretary-of-state.html |

in this piece cautioned the minister while stating that Ezekwesili was a team player in the hardship suffered by Nigerians currently. Oby Ezekwesili, one of the leaders of the BBOG Oby Ezekwesili, one of the leaders of the BBOG But for his antecedence as a consummate media handler, one would have been disappointed that presidential spokesperson, Ahaji Shehu Garba decided to join issues with the convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) and former minister of education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili for saying his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve to be in office. Garba Shehu should have seen through Ezekwesili and arrive at the conclusion that he could have better spent the time used on writing the statement dismissing Ezekwesili for other uses. Without doing any library research anyone can see that this former World Bank Vice President is eager to line her egg nest. She left that supposedly cushy job to take up appointment under the Obasanjo government, returned to the country under Dr Goodluck Jonathan but there was no deal until the unfortunate abduction of the Chibok Girls provided the material to blackmail that government with the formation of BBOG. READ ALSO: Tension as Ezekwesili lashes out at Buhari’s spokesman It took the surfacing of how she misappropriated a total of N458 billion allocated to the country’s educational sector when she served as minister between 2006 and 2007 to silence her. Still along that line of hustling to get on the joy ride she became hyper critical of the Jonathan government while making it look like she was on errand for the opposition. Once the new government emerged without her being named on the cabinet she found a new cause that saw the BBOG promptly revived and used to harass the government of President Buhari. The truth has a way of eventually coming out. Other arrowheads of BBOG have either returned to their full time occupations or find newer ways of making contributions to the nation’s development while still working to ensure the girls are one day released. But not Ezekwesili. Not even the dawning realization to Nigerians that the group could be more complicit in the captivity of the girls can make her behave herself. The former minister has therefore dusted up what is left of her credibility and deployed it to champion the cause of ‘2000 Nigeria Immigration Service recruits’ whom she is making to look like hapless victims. READ ALSO: Doubters: These photos should convince you Chibok girls abduction is not a scam Two quick things: aren’t these the same recruitment that she claimed were made without adherence to due process; is this the same former minister who had no qualms about downsizing for efficiency in line with World Bank dictated global best practices? One needs ask these question because there should be limits to grandstanding even when political manoeuvres are called for. Mine expectation is that Ezekwesili would have by now deployed her clout and access to the Boko Haram intellectual components in pressuring Ahmed Salkida, Ahmed Bolori and Aisha Wakil to facilitate the release of the Chibok girls. That she could immediately be latching onto another cause, albeit for selfish and adulation purposes, signposts how the BBOG outings had always been influence courting exercises for a woman who is unaccustomed to being out the influence circle. She has spoken in a couple interview about how she left nothing behind in government that she wants to return to but this latest development has definitely put the lie to her claims. Not just at this recent sit out, her recent comments on national issues betray a refusal to accept the realities of the time. Ezekwesili mentioned that the impunity that characterized the Jonathan administration has resurfaced under the present government, which leaves one wondering how much responsibility she is willing to accept or if she even has the capacity to recognize that she must accept responsibility because the foundation for impunity was laid and solidified under the government she served and being a minister at that time there is no record that she productively tried to halt that foundation from being laid. Even with such reckless past, the least she can do is to acknowledge progress being made by President Buhari to undo the damage she and her colleagues did in setting off that culture. If she called it impunity now what would she have called it before the incumbent government scaled back on the abomination that Ezekwesili’s People Democratic Party (PDP) government left behind in 16 years. READ ALSO: If Buhari does not do this, Nigeria will be destroyed – Top 15 quotes Ezekwesili spoke of hardship without acknowledging her role in how the policies she actively supported as a minister started off what Nigerians are today experiencing. If she were truly sincere about the plight of the lower income bracket population she should deploy the same tricks her and her buddies at the World Bank use to market unneeded loans to emerging economies to reverse the damage she has done. This is why I think Garba Shehu shouldn’t waste valuable time in responding to this woman. She is in need of rehabilitation as the economy of the world has taken a hit so even a World Bank big wig is not as insulated as one would assume. Instead of countering or trying to correct the misinformation that Ezekwesili is putting out, the presidential spokesperson should recognize it as the desperate cries of a frustrated and sinking woman in need of intervention. So when next Ezekwesili goes on her rant, if Garba Shehu has to write anything it shouldn’t be a response but a compassionate memo to Mr President to find one small appointment for madam, whose co-convener at BBOG, Hadiza Baka Usman already has a national assignment. It is not easy being left out “inside this cold of Abuja”. http://davesblog.over-blog.com/2016/08/how-former-minister-caused-nigerians-hardship.html |
The EFCC has made move to charge Olu Falae to court – The former minister of finance was accused of receiving N100 million from Sambo Dasuki – He admitted receiving the money but insisted he was unaware it came from arms deal The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken steps to arraign Chief Olu Falae for allegedly receiving N100 million from the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation ahead of the 2015 presidential election. The former secretary to the government of the federation had first been apprehended by the EFCC for receiving the fund in a political agreement with the Peoples Democratic Party through Chief Tony Anenih. It was later revealed that the N100 million came from the office of Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser. Olu Falae says he hasn't been asked by the EFCC to return the N100million Given to him by Tony Anenih Olu Falae says he feels ashamed to be linked to the $2.1 billion arms scandal The Punch reports that the EFCC would formally charge the former minister of finance with conspiracy to indirectly retain the sum of N100m “which he ought to have known formed part of the proceeds of an unlawful act to wit: stealing, thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) (Amendment) Act, 2012, and punishable under Section 15(3) and 4 of the same Act.” Falae had admitted in February that he received the money on behalf of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) but was unaware the money came fro Dasuki. READ ALSO: #Dasukigate: Church Members Humiliate Olu Falae An EFCC source revealed that the 78-year-old politician has been visiting the office of the anti-graft agency but has refused to return the money. “Chief Falae has been reporting to our office every week to answer questions on the N100m he received from the Jonathan campaign organisation. We have told him to refund the money. “But he said he received the money through Anenih and it was meant for campaign. However, investigations revealed that he deposited N60m into SDP’s account while he kept N40m. “We told him that he should return the N40m, but he has not been forthcoming. We have no other option but to charge him to court.” However, Mr. Alfa Mohammed who is the spokesperson of Falae said any attempt to prosecute him would be tantamount to witch-hunt. He claimed the former presidential candidate was usually grilled for eight hours at the EFCC office in Lagos without food or water and the stress of shuttling between Lagos and Ondo was taking its toll on him. He insisted that Falae did not use the fund for personal purpose but for campaign for the re-election of Jonathan. “The PDP wanted us to render a service and they gave us money, which we did by adopting and working for Jonathan. So, what is our business with arms deal? READ ALSO: #Dasukigate: Olu Falae Opens Up On Arms Largesse “We never had contact with Dasuki. If you are given money to cook food for guests at a ceremony and after everyone has eaten, you are informed that the money given to you was stolen from CBN, would you tell all the guests to pay you? “This is nothing but harassment. They want to distract us from the coming Ondo election which we are set to win. The SDP still owes Chief Falae N70m because we asked him to borrow N170m in anticipation that the PDP would pay, but the party gave us only N100m. “The N100m came about three days to the election and chief had been spending money before then. He has fallen ill because of the intense interrogation in the EFCC office. The operatives usually grill him for eight hours without food or water. If they are probing party funds, let them start from the APC.” Fale has insisted that he has no dealing with Dasuki and said he gave the PDP six conditions before accepting the party’s proposal and the N100 million and was unaware it came from money meant for procurement of arms. “I never had any dealings whatsoever with the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki. No relationship at all! “What I know was that Chief Tony Anenih, chairman Board of Trustee of the PDP approached me before the last election (presidential election of Saturday, March 28, 2015) to seek the cooperation of my party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) with his own party in re-electing the former president (Dr Goodluck Jonathan) in what they could call an Inter-Party Cooperation Agreement. And I gave him 6 conditions before we could accede to that request.” http://davesblog.over-blog.com/2016/08/n100m-jonathan-election-fund-efcc-finally-takes-serious-action-against-olu-falae.html |

If I have an investigating mechanism, I know that this accusation is real obviously. “I have access to authority. I have access to Mr. President. Corruption in Nigeria was introduced by Obasanjo.” "Senator Joseph Waku, a former chairman, Senate Committee on Water Resources, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to probe Obasanjo." Senator Joseph Waku, a former chairman, Senate Committee on Water Resources, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to probe Obasanjo. Waku who served as a senator in the fourth republic and is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, noted that without Buhari, the ruling party would lose the 2019 general election. He said the party won the 2015 election because most of the politicians on the platform of the APC rode on Buhari’s honesty to win the 2015 election. The call for Buhari to probe Obasanjo comes just after the former president denied media reports claiming he and a few Nigerians brought President Muhammadu Buhari to power. According to him, no individual or group including himself can lay claim to bringing to power.
