Southgate stayed the job cos the players supported him and wanted him staying, else he'd have resigned. The fans almost forced his hand.

Can't remember the last time the GWG players voiced support for the stay of their manager.

Infact Eze and Nacho and Iwobi in a 4231 formation will crack down any defence, even if im not going to be cool seeing all 3 on the pitch at the same time. That is what we should truly clamor for

Great Moves for Women's football

I do hope to see our young club ladies on the grand stage in 2-3yrs. This will even make Club football become a hotcake in the women's league.

Do i see a situation where the rave becomes bigger than the men's? Probably.

@Emboldened... This right here! Well said Dave.

Exactly why I said Deschamps' only positive is that he picks his squad right. But how to flexibly run with them tactically, this is where he falls short due to his predoimnant conservative approach despite the ultra-insane attacking and creative quality of the French side. And it is this OVERquality in the side that nicely papers over that crack.
If he wants to play possession football, Saliba dey to effect the point from defence. He even has the best squad for Counters. It's a big blessing to have such overquality. But i believe he influences the tactics mostly during the 1st half. That Tchou goal vs England is a flow of his setup.

Our team have suffered from the fix in problem that natural roles are now scarce. If they kon sabi their moves again.... Bigger blessing. France should take this.

What Pele could do with a football with both feet, not even Maradona came close. It is not an exaggeration... it is facts.

Pele was and remains the most complete footballer ever to grace the beautiful game. The perfect mix of Athleticism, Unlimited Technique, Limitlessly Supreme Ball intelligence, Power, Speed, Spatial awareness and more.

His ambipedality on the ball in technique, control and even his goals is the most complete I have ever studied in football history.

He was as powerfully assertive, technically majestic and in total ball control across all in-game phases with his right foot as he was with his left foot.

Maradona wasn't like that. He was majorly left footed.

Messi is also majorly left footed.

CR7 doesn't boast the high-end technical might of Maradona and Messi not to mention Pele himself.

Everything that everyone of these top ballers from Maradona to Messi to Zidane to Ronaldo de lima to Ronaldinho to CR7 to Neymar did with a ball, Pele did it first. Do you know how insane that is?

He didn't have any highlights reel to reference. He invented almost all on the spot. These guys came later and replicated it and didn't even replicate all of Pele's Magic.

If there is anything I would have wanted, it is to have lived during the era of Pele to witness first hand all and more of the magic he dished out then. because the truth is even the clips, Videos and different report accounts dont show all of it.

Watch these clips below and understand....

Respect to the GOAT of GOATs abeg. That you didn't watch him then doesn't erase historical facts.
People also forget the texture of the ball. Mwssi and Ronaldo no fit use that kind ball do most of what they do today. That heavy ball!!

I expected a lot of things but not a day that Pele will be brought so low to justify Messi!!!

If Griezmann was so good why did they let him go at a loss?

I've never said Griezmann is not a good player but hyping his contributions ahead of Mbappe is an agenda that will not fly.
Actually, His contribution to the french team is higher than Mbappe's and Messi's in this very World cup. His crime is not scoring. He's outdone many legends in just one. WC appearance, maradona inclusive, except Goals.

It's no agenda. It's a fact! Considering how Deschamps is using him again, the more the merrier. He is in contention for MVP. He's totally earned it, especially for someone playing deep and still best attacking threat for France again.

All this makes me realize how Deschamps is so underrated by all. He respects the natural roles of his players and deploys them mostly that way. He definitely saw something extra in Griezz that made him get this new role.

What's the origin you heard?
When the rules were still racist, the blacks involved playing the game(Brazil) were cruelly fouled and since it's a black, ref no go blow. High boots, deliberate kicks, name any despicable foul. Once a white man did it against the black, no foul. It was play on. Even medics won't attend to the injured unless the racist ref called for.

That's how they invented Dribbling inspired by dancing that the whites couldn't dance. It became a norm, spreading across Latin America until the rules and the game got better. But it was now in the dna because everyone wanted to dance. So football games on the streets increased as a result-A football nation!!

If Griezmann was a Nigerian player you guys will call him a midfielder..

the way he was dropping deep to help the midfield and defense and also help in build up play and transitioning the attack from midfield and defense shows what the Super Eagles attack and team is lacking.
Griezmann's role in the team is two. He plays his natural role and then slots into the Kante role easily when needed. Like someone said earlier, this is supposed to be what Iheanacho does for the GWG without a Coach needing to shout this from the bench. Pogba even hyped Antoine on his IG moments ago. I'll always cherish his kind of player. Esp for that Clown dance

Okay, perhaps I exaggerated with the number but they should have received at least five. I saw the Moroccan players going for the ankles and calves of the French players. That's unacceptable.

Concerning the referee that officiated the ARG-NED game, that guy always likes to over-do things. If you watch La Liga frequently, you'll know that that guy get 'skon-skon' for head.

Me wey dey house follow chop yellow card.
These are the things they easily get away with In Caf Club competitions. Sadly, West African sides are yet to win that aspect of psychological warfare against this childish North African style, and Caf is not helping either.

What a Time!! A good birthday gift. I pity those saying he will do nothing special in the final because of today's showing. E go surprise everyone. If he doesn't even go for Future World Cups, he's already on the Goat table for WCs.

France are dreadful. The are lethal with less possession. Argentina are dangerous when direct but not that solid with their box. Netherlands game proved that.

France should do what they can. This will make it hard to look down on Mbappe ever again, especially if he brings his A game in this final. He will be GOAT talk for next 3 WC, of which e sure say he go see UCL carry at least 2ice.

Jawad El Yamiq!! What a player. Most accurate Passes for Morocco.

Seeing El Nesyri with just 3 passes all games is the more reason to appreciate what Osimhen does for club and country. Richarlison was also isolated vs Croatia and he contributed far less than expected.

At the heart of that is, " WORK RATE " It really does not matter how tactfully and technically astute you are , all the skills and dribbling will amount to NOTHING without work rate and team COHESION.
Exactly what the 2013 set had. Ideye-Emenike-Moses, etc. Haven't had this on a steady for 2 years at a go since then.
