Spy360:
Why wasn't Turner used? Unless its injury, I dont see why Arteta should change the personnel. As for Vieira, he is turning to Jack 'not Wilshere' of all Trade, Master of none.

That Ugarte guy should be looked at probably as a backup for Partey this summer. His man marking was very good and he holds the ball well with a bit of technicality.

There are 3 sporting players that arteta should attempt getting.

That Winger that terrorized our LB- edwards
Ugarte and this other guy, shey na ignacio or so.

Those guys have the energy for EPL teams, add technical prowess again.

Paulinho gave our CBs big problems and guy is not even agile like them.

Leyqute:
Lol. Which of your remaining games will include a PK shootout?

You’re out of Carabao cup.
You’re out of FA cup.
You’re out of Europa cup.

Hope say this loss never do some hidden damages for your body so?

So comprehension is such a big deal to you that you can't decode the meaning of henceforth?

iamoyindamola:
How can you blame ramsdale for that goal
Apart from injury I don't see any sense in starting jourghino ahead of partey
Moreover if the likes of odegaard and partey start they he can sub them off

Anyway their is no point crying over spill milk, we have full concentration on the league now

Call a spade it's name abeg. Ramsdale is to blame for the goal. Simple!! It's an English keeper overconfidence. Pickford and Pope do it. But Pick has been reducing his lately.

Arteta is showing his Pep side on European nights. We don't need that in UCL if we qualify. He should be himself. Pep will so much focus on his own strengths, overthink about it and still underrate the strength of the opponents. That's what happened over 2 legs. Guy didn't even tactically prepare to stifle those runs by the Sporting CBs in the middle, unchallenged.

It happened 6times in 1st leg and 4times yesternight.

I'm sorry though, but let's be realistic too

Zinchenko can't be doing what he's doing without a proper cover plan if ucl night resumes. He will be skinned alive by experienced pacy wingers that realize the LB spot is open mostly. For now, it is still sweet. But opponents have tactical managers that are working on exploiting that. Arteta needs to have a different approach asap.

As Trossard missed two chances, i remembered the misses of europa ko stages seasons ago vs Olympiacos. I knew twas a bad omen.

mostob:
Omo...na like this we want take play UCL

The badluck start with that Saliba and Yasu injury. Those Trossard miss is more painful now🌚😔

I believe Teta will try all he can to avoid games going to pk henceforth. It is not a good omen for him atall.

Sporting really played Arsenal.

Eye opener. Smh

Link please

Let's go

zuchyblink:
This list may not be from Peseiro. NFF influenced these call ups

I wonder why many of us here are still yet to come to terms with the fact that the head coach has little say in players to call up. I've been saying it since Rohr days and it is obvious again that Peseiro doesn't know yummy so well to just put him up like that. It's all nff handwriting.

TheSuperNerd:
I agree on Chuks. He can be so much more. That lad, talent wise/game style-wise, is akin to the second coming of Arjen Robben as an African star. He can be more and I hope this season sees him set a standard of consistency that he doesn't fall below ever again.

21 G+A in 35 games (25 starts) is impressive. Very impressive for a right winger.

His best ever before this season was 13 G+A in 20/21 in 40 games (24 starts).

I only pray he keeps it up going forward.

Welcome back friend. 🙌🏾💯

M7even:
They are gradually looking like the African club derby

Like Madrid vs Barca

comodo:
And there is no catching up soon with the way the country is going.

E go tey. That consistency no be here. Especially the kind of manager employed

Samueltemi337:
And we still don't see them in Chan

Ironically. But before any club from npfl can match the unbeaten, they'll need twice of OUK's kind of investment and dedication to the modern style to equal it on the continent.

Jodera:
I think the best time to rest him was during Europa group stage and some league games where we are winning comfortably but now it'll be difficult.

But he needed that rest on Thurs for Nelson and Esr. My prayer is that he doesn't burn out sha

That our group game run was even disturbing. Lol. And annoying. Made it look like there's nothing special about Mik's approach. The ish is when are we going to turn on the ignition for the Europa League?

germaphobe:
resting your best players can help them reload and come out better. even martinelli admitted than the rest against leicester was good for him.

You get it. ESR and RN are there. They understand the style well.

sod09:
Person way him people no they take seriously
Na like mad person them they treat am

Oh. The clown of the 10th Bridge. I see😂

These guys have left our Clubs far behind sha.

fredoooooo:
We love our 10th position, with our champions league trophy ..

Wo werey bose n ranju

You're loving 10th?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Abeg Arsenal fans dey go the Chelsea Thread atall? I wish your club was consistent like you mehhnnnn. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

mostob:
That 2 game break might even slow him down. One thing Arteta is Keen about is the fitness level of all his players. That's why the substitutes usually have a training session after the games.
He should have been substituted in games against Leceister, Bournemouth and Everton but we made it tough for ourselves.

On the contrary. It will make him even better. He will still train but be on the bench. The rest Pep gave Haaland, Kdb, Mahrez, Grealish have paid off. The energy levels of KdB alone increased. Commentators acknowledged that. BurnOut in itself is a slow down worse than this rest idea.

maidaboi:
please give the team small kudos

The team have foreign staff?

Roland17:
You beat me to this observation. He looked fatigued on Thursday.

Abi Arteta dey reason say the guy has rested well enough during the Dubai vacay or what?

You'll know Saka needs rest when he begins to comit fouls and complain at the linesman in a match.

Dunno, but the Fulham game, he can start from bench. Pep rests Haaland and KDB and it works, Even if we don't have same depth.

Better he rests to end a great campaign than risk injury and start faltering.

Jodera:
One of my friends talk say one day Saka go just pull Jersey comot for pitch one day tell Arteta say him no play again...

... And I think he's right.

Sometimes, Arteta needs to just rest Saka to energise him. Also, he badly needs a deputy. They need to buy someone that's ready to play that wing anytime he needs rest in cup competitions

What's even making it pain me more is that the stress us making him to rake up a lil above average performances in europa in last 2 seasons. Infact, the last Europa game i think he was very go was when Pepe was still around. It's that bad. He should be blazing. One might say it's too early to tell but, he should be fresh for Thursday nights.

He needs rest. Arteta should be the wiser one here.

We need the polls back pls.

mostob:
Our recent form at home scares me but with one or two attackers coming back, we should be able to get the job done at the Emirates.

Saka needs 2games break for better efficiency. I dunno if Arteta is seeing this. 21yo boy o.

germaphobe:
nketiah out, trossard out, odegard out. seriously i'm scared, i love veira but can he up his game against a fullham physical team?, will ESR10 drop to 8 or to the wing?, martinelli up front didn't click for me on thursday, i trust saliba and gabriel at the back. it's just the no.8, no.11 and no.9 position that worries me about sunday. i hope two of the three first team players recover ahead of sunday.

ps: no body said nothing about jakub performance yesterday.

As regarding Kiwior, his positioning during the Cks were very poor. But he has passing game and stamina. It's his 1st game and i think he'll grow into the role so Gabby can rest small. But the two CBs and Turner really hearam from Sporting. Plus the defense lacked covering of Partey 8times in 90mins. Scary moment.

Their attack is sharp, but they are not good in defending, hence those nonsense tackles. I expected someone to go for a pk moment.

chrisooblog:
Hi everyone seems Supernerd sadly lost his dad recently. Please anyone close to him do kindly reach out to him. Comfort and condolences to you Supernerd aka doc.

So sorry to hear this. May God grant you the strength to bear this insurmountable loss. RIP to him.

I recall that st Etienne match and the Olympiacos defeat at Emirates in same europa seasons back. Will sporting want to attempt that? They look even better. But we better show them class is different from their gragra.

Roland17:
What Turner is doing today is nothing new because he has been doing this things since preseason and I have been talking about it even before the season started.

At this rate, we need survive till Summer o. I don't want a situation where goalkeeping is our Europa league downfall. I remember our group stage games sha. You are right.

sod09:
Remove martinelli that his yellow they vex me
Odegaard need to play too

Lol. I think its a bad thought to put nelli inbetween two tall, well built CBs imo. No aerial ball will touch his head at that rate, when he's not Osimhen. If play gets worse, i won't be surprised if Odegaard eventually plays.

Something is happening to our cornerkick defending that i don't quite understand. We used to be formidable before. Now, i am having a higher expectations that they'll score us from it that ever before. What's going on?😤😤😤
