You must be really keeping count of the names mentioned on this thread for you to arrive at this conclusion.... Cus I really don't see the correlation between Dennis and Onyeka who obviously play different positions and the demand for new addition in each position based on individual skillet is different...
oh, c'mon Daniel, this is not about positions now. Its about praises for weekly performance. That's the point. Not about positions. Someone used the excuse of coming to Epl just this season, thus me bringing in Onyeka too, to counter that excuse. There, you have it. The correlation!!

Oh, yes i do keep count in a way.

This won't have happened if Nerdie weekly match day analysis on Nigeria players was still ongoing though. I'm sure Dennis would have gotten his mention from there. Outside that its an all time low. Sincerely.

With due respect Sir, Nobody has disrespected Victor Moses. The people shouting disrespect are the ones shoving Victor Moses's disrespect to our faces, painting disrespect where it was not.

if there are posts made on this thread containing disrespect for Victor Moses, i will like to be notified of them.

Is Victor Moses better than what we boast of in wide positions, has been the topic of debate in recent times and this is no where a disrespect, but an honest appraisal of his skills.

Victor Moses thrives well as a wingback in 3-5-2, 3-4-3 tactical setup, but will be less productive as a wing forward in 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 formation, the later is where our present wing forwards clearly beats him.

It will not be right if we continue to push sentiments.
allow me to be hilarious a bit, but VicMo disrespect on this thread heighten at the mention of him getting a potential call up to the GWG. Its disgusting Seeing the disdain and low cheap insult, analysis on his pattern of play cos of recency bias.

Like many even said his 2013 exploits were average at best. Haba!!

I don't want to know what ever he played at Chelsea or inter, etc. All that concerns me is the GWG, and in the colors, he was brilliant when the whole team were dozing, especially in comparison to the current wingers in the team.

If nobody wants his return, no p. But to analyze his games for GWG like he was some uchebo flavour or agbim is too low.

I don't think they have improved that much at leastnor personel wise. The coaching might be the difference but like u said the level of competition wasn't the best either. We will have to see more before we can conclude if the have improved or not. As of now my answer is no because it would be hard for me to say they have a winger better than Anayo Iwuala.
Thought as much.

Besides the infrastructure is an eyesore. They should be renovating, expanding or moving to a new stadium like their Everton, Tottenham did. Its high time. At least they should target something like this(all blue) before the next 3Olympics come.

Before someone comes to overhype OUK. grin

Lemme guess, Anayo will be in Europe by end of WC. Replacement no even ready yet.

NFF debunks Eagles sex party scandal

’Tosin Oluwalowo
24 November 2021

The Nigeria Football Federation has debunked the allegations that some Super Eagles players were involved in a sex party before their 2022 World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde in Lagos on November 16.

The Eagles could only manage a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde, which drew the ire of fans despite being enough to qualify them for the playoffs.

The team’s lacklustre performance has been the major reason for the moves by the NFF to relieve coach Gernot Rohr of his job and appoint a new coach for the team before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations starting in Egypt next January.

News however broke out on social media on Monday that Rohr had wanted to drop three players from the team after they had broken camp rules before the game.

The report however said the coach was prevailed upon by NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, which made him start two of the three players.

The reports revealed the three players who allegedly organised the sex party as Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alanyaspor defender, Chidozie Awaziem and Leganes defender, Kenneth Omeruo.

When our correspondent contacted NFF Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, he denied that anything of such ever happened.

“The NFF has no comment, they can write whatever they want to write because it didn’t happen,” Olajire told The PUNCH.

He alleged that the story was planted to force Omeruo out of the Eagles.

“Omeruo is not happy about the news accusing him of being involved. He feels it’s coming from those who want him out of the Eagles by force,” our source said.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/nff-debunks-eagles-sex-party-scandal/%3famp
Those running our football run it like its some street team in iyana ipaja.

How did they arrive at those comments from Omeruo, yet debunk the sex party by saying 'they can write whatever they can write'?

So Omeruo had a person comment that they felt should be passed across asap but when Balogun complained about bad admin, he was crucified. grin grin grin

This football space needs a total wipe out. Even Luxembourg are not this silly with comments in the heat of denials. Olajire Should do better next time abeg.

In a bid to clear the air, more dust about how things are run refills the cleared air. grin

When you play in Ajax you are only a part of a whole. They play as a whole and so can be very difficult to beat.
Any player will look good in that Ajax set up. In fact, many players who looked good at Ajax came out to realise they still needed a little more learning. In recent years- De Ligt, VdB, Ziyech, de Jong etc.

This has been their tradition. How do you think they can sell all their stars and still compete favourably the following season using fresh legs?
Succinctly put. Those guys still have lots to learn truly. But i like the idea that they don't need over talented players to fit the system. That's why i really hail Ten Hag. Na better manager. Can use what's at his disposal to get max results

Oma bleeped up badly by asking Klopp to apologize.
When you use the words “small” or “little” in the context Klopp used it, it is obviously sarcastic or humorous or ironic e.g “I have not gone out today because of one small exam I am preparing for” or “I am just managing my little Range Rover” etc etc.

I suffered second hand embarrassment watching that video. Imagine getting offended by someone for using sarcasm/irony in his second language which turns out to be your own country‘s official language. It just shows that even Klopp that is German and learnt English on the side knows English language better than Oma who is a journalist from a country that has English as its official language.
I watched thar clip and there was nothing, absolutely nothing sarcastic or humorous, at least, from both Klopp or his facial expressions.

Besides, why is it when it comes to Africa, we are quick to want to overlook such? Why?

Even FIFA did one blunder with Edouard mendy recently. This is barely after the balon d'Or exclusion too. Edouard called out FIFA.

Klopp in whatever context usable, was expressing exactly how he feels about Afcon, especially when you have Mane and Salah leaving you for 8weeks. He's never one to hide how he feels.

I support Babatunde fully, and from a professional POV, even if Babatunde overflogged it, an apology to show it wasn't intentional would have sufficed. Klopp didn't.

Its a European thingy anyways. But no one should come and support Klopp abeg.

If na skillset, who dey wey don do am convincingly? Yeah,he might still be somehow, but what will his current skillset not solve? The XI has been quality back to back but still can't get that click, especially in this WCQ. Clinical individual brilliance at least near Salah's is missing in the GWG. Moses fits that. Ejuke doesn't cos it still showboating with the clinical aspect. If anyone doesn't want him, it should be cos he was of the older set and not cos he can't still offer good shows for GWG.

You can't handle Salah by marking him. He's good enough to beat anyone and even if he doesn't he will pull you out of position for the likes of Mane and Jota to wreck havoc. Salah is dealt with through tactics and team play.

Salah's strength is mainly in the movement of TAA. So the way to beat Salah is to restrict TAA. To do so, someone who has pace, stamina or dribbling should position himself at the LW whenever TAA overlaps. Then the entire team should try to find that guy once they win the ball. Lacazette could have been excellent doing that job because of his stamina, another person is Pepe, Martinelli etc. This will restrict TAA's movement and also isolate Salah upfront.

cool
Actually, Gabby really did well vs Salah. But omo, Tierney go hear whiinnnnnn if he played. Especially if he's running back from an attacking position. That's where Martinelli could have made a difference. One gats rough Nelli up to take the ball off him compared to ESR that waa easily useless and dispossessed whenever he luckily saw the ball come to him.

If counter was Arteta's masterplan, then that was a shambolic set up. TAA didn't even a One on one.

I recall that Laca goal from tight angle. If only there was a LW.

Once again, Arteta's tactics is shambolic it cant even cause a smeer on an Opponent's setup.

He should have applied that Crystal Palace vs Liverpool tactic. Everytime test

Not that im expecting a win.

Exactly, and i think its the yeye aspect of Arteta's tactics. It doesn't involve defences watching their backs cos almost 30m from the box, there's no threat worthy to watchout for. Smh.

The result of such us obvious: Arsenal end uo not scoring as they should when they are pressing opponents defence. Arteta should take a clue from Tuchel.

Starting Lokonga was a mistake in my opinion. AMN has better experience in England and against Liverpool and should have started instead. He is even better than Lokonga on that LCM, who does well at RCM where Partey plays. In other words, it should be AMN partnering Partey in Xhaka's absence and not Sambi.

Tavares was over rated after his impressive performances in Tierney's absence. Most people were carried away, but I stated here that Tavares is just being too energetic and confident and that he may not be able to manage his decisions when foraging forward compared to Tierney.

But no qualms, we were never going to beat Liverpool anyways. So it was a good lesson time for the boys.
True. I also don't know if Tierney would have faired better against Salah. Maybe M2M marking but definitely not recovery if he went attacking. But he won't make those silly mistakes Tavares made.

If Partey is going to be absentminded in games like this and start waking up only when we dey lose, make he chop bench abeg. Nobody knew he had such shots in his sleeves until the 4th goal went in. grin
