Nairaland General › Re: What's The Most Traumatic And Scariest Event You Have Ever Witnessed? by daveP(m):
The day a building opp our block in Jakande Estate, Ipaja caught fire. A lil girl was asleep inside and probably forgot to switch off the stove. The building fell slowly like a pack of cards, and each scream reminded us all that a girl was in there. The sight of her charred remains was scary. Then fire service for naija don crumble teh teh.

Ishilove:
When the keke I boarded two years ago took a tumble and just kept on dragging on the floor without end...in the middle of the express way. I heard someone screaming manaically, and it was when the keke finally halted after what seemed like forever that I realised I was the person screaming.

That day, I emerged from the wreckage bruised, bloodied and with a sobering realisation that life is very very fragile. It is hanging on a thin thread and can snap in less than a second.
Your descriptive prowess though

they need to collabo with CAF.
there are regional sentiments in african football
Of course, they do collabo. Only that this time, the refs have to absolutely at their best, professional to help their own careers beyond their continent.

At least the pepper sellers accoc speech will be relevant to our daily lives, unlike his speech. grin

I didn't listen to it, and I didn't read it, and I'm glad I didn't waste my time.
i read it thru and passed it. it reeked of nothing effective

I am a serving corp member in Lokoja, Kogi state.
I decided to climb a high mountain close to the popular Mount Patti, where i reside (Zone 8, Lokoja). The view is quite breathtaking. The River Niger is clearly visible, as well majority of the town. Lokoja is quite beautiful but underdeveloped.
I took the pictures with my Fero Android device. Dont mind the quality of the pictures.
lol, issit your 1st time. we wey don turn legend for climbing mt patti tired starting from FUL. Its river lokoja flowing into the niger though. Hate to see that lugard house cos it reminds of evil amalgamation.

Amen o.
Amen.

Hopefully, you can start by teaching me how to recognize off-side goal.
lol. when a player in an offside position actually scores, its an 'offside goal' which eventually wont count cos the player was offside. In the rules of the game, no such thing as offside goal though. its a naija thing. offside is simply offside.

CAF appointed or is it FIFA?
Actually FIFA. If its CAF, it would be a CAF tourney. Only the officials must be continental-based.

Oh lawd. *facepalm* @macauley
This my moniker don hear weehn.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I will first observe how it's being done here. Lol
I actually have vested interest in football. It's just not something I talk about on here.
One of the companies I work for handles Stadium branding for the NPFL and NFF. Like official thing..
So I manage most of the people who do the pitch branding before the main game.
Hopefully from next season, I will be visiting Stadiums regularly as well.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Some of the monikers are familiar, others aren't.
To everyone, I say.. Good Evening.

But we didn't the NFF protest this Botswana ref thing sef? Botswana has a affinity with Zambia. It's like asking a Ghanaian ref to officiate in a game between Nigeria and Egypt.

O pari
Toh, i thought as much, a kenyan ref as alternative however would kill the game as times past when se was involved. Hope we dont have any bookings on key players?
