TheGoodJoe:
I am grateful to God. He was immense. My mind skipped when Ezenwa was on the ground, shaking. So I am okay. But, not happy with our timid display. No one m here is saying it didnt happen@timid display. but glad we all are to soak up all that pressure faster than garri. recall a typical naija team would have fallen and even lost years ago. and afcon champs 4 dat mata!!! we arent spain or brazil yet. glad we all agree we are nt where we used to be. |

TheGoodJoe: Father God in Heaven. We commit our young lads who match out flying the flag of Nigeria. I pray you grant them unity, love and devotion to today's game. Give them the grace to come out Victorious today. We thank you for the amazing victory in Uyo.
May you bless the coach and his crew with the tactical wisdom to shine today and please keep the players injury free.
Thank you for your grace and blessings. Grant us victory today and help us qualify for the World Cup. If i were God, i answered at least 4/5 of your prayers. Be grateful!! |

Joebie: Exactly what I was saying. Replace Exhiejile with Aina. Choke up the midfield. I saw Aina in bench. He was the first from left before the start of the match Wait o, why wasnt he listed among the subs on screen? |

AIG07: Another option is Sone Aluko. But for Azeez, we don't need him. We've seen him play. We don't need him going forward. This three will make our Midfield strong and thick going forward. -Azubuike -Joel Obi -Sone Aluko. I can imagine how our middle will look like on seeing an Aluko come on for a Mikel. The tempo will just be constant, if not even better(taking opponent's fatigue into consideration). cant wait to see how he will awe us. hate to see collapse of the same kind vs france when matuidi injured onazi.(non availability of suitable replacement)again. |

AIG07: another beautiful one over there. Cameroon ain't that strong in the middle. I think I pointed this out during the confed cup. But I was so amazed they won the central midfield battle.
Switching to a 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 formation would have balance things up. But after the goal he chose 4-3-3 with tiring wide men(the two moses). It came to a time I didn't even see S.Moses on the pitch-I even taught he had been sub.
Eh wait was Aina on the bench? Cos me no see am. As for me right now, na result mata. i hope Rohr impoves on the sub mata. as for Aina, i wont wana make him play that match. he wasnt. |

edi287: Speaking of a Mikel replacement, I'm surprised no one is talking about Iwobi. Iwobi will be a super 10 in the future. As long as we have a great destroyer(Ndidi, Onazi) and an energetic CM that can build play, we should be good. Mikel will no doubt be hard to replace sha. Good thing we'll have him around for say another 4-5 years. so on point. but the winger in him though@Iwobi. |

My hapiness is our key figures, save Balogun, are now safe. zambia style of play is wing and aerial. they dont do well central or in counter. so knowing this, im safe to assume a good match, barring injuries. Glad talks about Mikel's replacement have resurfaced. enough of the Agu subbing. Mikel is diff from Mikel ah. Ramon Azeez & Aluko are needed. |

AIG07: I'm not happy with the performances of two people and they are: coach Rohr and Elderson Echiejile. Reason been that...
1. Echiejile was our weakest link in both matches. He does not merit a starting shirt. The saddest part is that he can't improve any longer so we need a replacement asap. He made Moses and Onazi over worked and capped it all by unbalancing the defence. Practically all players came to his rescue.
2. I made a call on our coach's substitution techniques. He seem to be efficient in substitution. Why for God's sake will u sub like for like while leading. If the players on bench ain't good enough then don't invite them again.
I have never supported Ndidi-Onazi combo. Both players are not good passers. Kudos to Shehu, Ekong and Balogun. This three salvaged the draw for us. chop knuckle. Rohr seems not to be able to do subs based m live play. i expected choking up of d wings, thereby forcing cmr to play central; their weak game. |

I gotta tell ya... I admire Rohr's ability to try handle these selection headaches and decisions. Really not easy. Besides I play Virtual soccer games as part of leisure and I face such selection brouhaha but biko it is nothing like the real thing Rohr and other coaches spoilt for choices face.... kudos to coaches. Sure now. Don't do a Gary Neville sha . I agree with you though. |

Icon79: I totally agree with you, Dave. Part of the reason why I wanted Kelechi to replace Ighalo. And even Moses could sit this one out as well, if I were the coach, but we gotta have Mikel tho.
I mean, tomorrow's game is important but not as important as the Zambia game especially if Zambia were to beat Algeria tomorrow.
O pari Yeah I recall Mikel knowing how to play with caution, but Victor and Odion( he can't even play this match due to fitness) Should sit this out. Let Ahmed Musa play to trouble the defenders with caution alongside Simon. |

TheSuperNerd: Enyeama should be back by later this year or in January depending on his progress on that right knee... His twitter clip was a bit encouraging shaa. Showed him working out that knee but he still felt discomfort in his facial expressions. But again when he does return he needs to regain match fitness and sharpness. Hence the need for him to find a new club by January possibly.
As for Ikeme, all I can say is that he should just focus on recovery from this cancer condition. He should keep being positive... Keen Optimism will play a huge role for him. I have seen a few miracles of recoveries from his cases... and his chances of recovery are great but to be fit for Russia 2018? Well that is not certain... for now even.. based on progress.. he is not in the picture but if a miracle fast recovery occurs then we could have a comeback on our hands... but speaking realistically and based on certain parameters... Ikeme is hardly in the picture for Russia.
So that leaves us with just Enyeama.... so your question could be who will be second and third choice?
Rohr's call man... not mine. Really don't want to be in his position. I got stuffs I already handle... lol Lol see you chickening out. selection headaches...... I agree on Carl though...... |

Icon79: This would be my line up, if I were the coach:
Ezenwa
Shehu...Ekong...Balogun...Aina (yes, he can play LB)
Ndidi...Onazi...Mikel
Victor Moses...KC...Etebo (we need his high work rate plus the end products)
But I am almost 100% sure that Rohr would stick with the same line up. Most coaches don't change a winning team.
O pari I prefer key players with cautions to sit this match out. Zambia match seem far more important to me. Maybe only me. |
