Sadly, we have carried the foolishness of revenue allocation erroneously based on land mass because of political factors to our institutions of higher learning.

Universities, to an extent like a church is not based on buildings or land mass, but on people and professionals operating the system.
So, you have Universities with one building and hundreds of off site campuses, and now we even have virtual Universities without physical buildings and certainly no land mass, yes, no measurable land mass.
Nigeria is apparently a country where irrelevant things are positioned to carry more weight than substantial issues.
It's like judging the best student of the year by say how well they dress, not on GPA, not on attendance, and not even on research efforts.

Since Secondary school days I've been hearing this rubbish land mass bragging and hype, yet none of them fit enter better rankings for Africa, talk more global. They can't even catch headlines for anything catchy and innovative without international funding or support.

A department will have 1500 students and 1300 will be on F and they'll be proud to post results and blame EVERYTHING on students being unserious when even the lecture environment and methods of learning are all crude and archaic.

He doesn’t have a say in transfer window but had the power to send Ramdale packing, had the influence to initiate Merino, Calafiori, and sterling’s signing. He is currently being praised by many of our fanbase for Zubi’s signing.

On a positive, this may be the first time I am optimistic going into the transfer window with Beta in charge. I am hoping for a pragmatic approach towards squad development.

I think the most important business right now before the window opens would be to get that Saliba extension because Madrid are clear about their intentions and they are difficult to turn down.

To your point, when the window opens, we have to upgrade our attacking options going into next season. A striker is non-negotiable for me.

You've said my mind. Berta is the silver lining in all of this.

As for me, it will be exhilarating to sign a 9 that dangerous aerially as much as foot. A lot wil change simply because of that aerial skillset.

Guy, we have had possession in all games we lost this season. I blame the players but the buck also rests with the manager for not tweaking things. You saw the Inter Barca game and how we watched one of the sweetest games with instantaneous tweaks away from the usual pattern of play both teams are used to. Alll under 120mins. Alll under 2hrs.

MA has NEVER tweaked stuff when it's not working. The only game he tweaked stuff in the UCL was that 5-1 vs Lisbon. Watch that game and you'll see there was a lot different from the norm we had. Infact possession was 55-45 at some point, one of the lowest this season.


Bottomline is that attack is dented. It needs fixing. Man couldn't fix it or prepare contingency for consequent seasons. Seriously?? And you want to best the masters of UCL? Make he dey play dey go while mediocre and average teams continue to improve and make him small

In 2015, due to circumstances beyond control, i saw jambitee boarding buses to write their exams in Ibadan as early as 5am. That's not a time for these kids to be all over the suburbs, brimming with anxiety.


Lots of crap exists in the system, especially the personnel involved.

Jamb alone is responsible for the 250% hike in interstate movement and something needs to be done about that because it is part of the problem.

And lastly, parents need to do their part. A decade ago, scoring 220 was like a smear among youths so they don't say the score out loud. But today, 180 is heroic. Another irony is students that scoring 240-300 never gained admission but 180-200 finally gave them admission after becoming perennial sitters for jamb. Those high scores become useless. That should not happen.
