This is from a place of uninformed frustrations which I will let slide. You are obviously reactionary like most Nigerians so I understand.

But I am not like you who gets paid to talk nonsense.

I know my football and have been talking it for years long enough to discern good from bad and I know a sound technical head when I see one. We bleeped up with Finidi when Amuneke was there for the taking.
Nerdie, I don't see any way EA would have impacted this team in all sincerity. He's no messiah. He doesn't bring any vote of confidence in me personally, not even his style.

It is a collective attitude problem. Pound for pound are Rwanda player better than the Nigerian players?
Nigeria was in the lead, on the counter decision making was an issue when they had chances to make it 2-0. Players wanted to go for glory in set of a simple cross. Then set pieces, no one in defense even bothers to track the ball.
God bless you. They play teamplay at the back, as they approach the box 18, individualistic mindset takes over. They don't even look to spot a green shirt positioned well. We allowed these Rwanda guys to look brilliant than they should. They passed the ball better, even in tight places, than us. I saw 4 players switch off and the press was so disjointed. That is lack of team spirit. Our Wingers(Simon and Chuks only) were the shining light tonight. Everyone else should getat

Can i really blame him? The 1st goal maybe for not organizing them before that freekick. If what osho did there is what he calls a block, he should join Tanimu and get out of this squad abeg.

Tactically, we need find a deep playing to relieve Iwobi from such.
We also need to start being confident playing through the middle. This wing play is solo to be the mainstream of our attacking threat.

Boniface

12games 0goals

Im out from being a supporter. I'll take a serious and calm Dessers over him moving forward. As i said earlier, the middle of the pitch is where we ought to focus on. Chuks reopened his goalscoring from there to give the lead. Terrible performance from our full backs using just the last AFCON metrics. Osayi was unconvincing. I was worry about Ekong drifting to cover for him, and that's how they got their winner eventually.

This 2man attack crap that AE loves doing, he better not try it if na him go carry us through this WCQ. It is wack and ineffective.

The value of Iwobi to this team skyrockets once again. The Bashiru y'all hype, see how they played rodeo with him.

I don't understand both Nacho and Chuks on that right wing in last couple of matches they've played. The barest minimum is impossible max for them.

3 players that understand how to attack spaces ate not on the pitch and suddenly, we are lost in creativity and attacking threat? Lol.

See Bashiru sef. Lol.

Iwobi
Lookman
Osimhen

These 3 are the life of our attack. Iffulike disagree.

Boniface
Nacho
These two are disconnected. Boni no sabi track run or press well. Nobody behind him to connect with. See the ball he nodded to throwing in the box instead of chest and shoot. These guys are terrible in the middle of the pitch but everything gats come from wing against them? Smh

3 assists in his last 4 GWG caps agree with your observation.
If only the RWs have sense too. We don't even need Aina to Overlap to cross. Let that RW do likewise like Simon. And Aina can be at the back waiting for a backpass at the edge of the box for a cross as well.

I pray he's fit for the AFCON. I want him there when we win it.

They did same to Jpes and Waldrum and that one vex for them and they began to cry foul. The track is so consistent and they need to stop that. It is silly and provoking. They have shown they got what it takes to clinch the trophy. They need to work on their finishing regardless. Im so happy for the way the two goals came.

The sunfowns switched off too, thinking it was over. Seeing Dlamini sitting on the pitch and devastated pleased me. Mazembe will be a great physical test. Oyono might be tested this time. But our midfielders will show their worth in that game.

Osigwe is a gem. If only pace was her forte. cool

Besides, the defense slept off many times.

5green shirts vs 3 yellow shirts and yet, the numerical advantage came to nothing. Commentator got fed up pf the one-route football we resorted to. And that brings me once again to the way local coaches think.

Only VO is good aerial upfront, winning aerial duels and head passes. Why then risk such when he's not the recipient? If AE wants this job, he better find the perfect trio for the midfield and set up a middle in such a way that makes Iwobi attack ONLY. Naturally, he's a game reader and hence knows when to drift back to cover, defens, play deep. Add some tactical aspect when he drifts to the wing once once like he does at Fulham and we'll get the best of him.

His weaknesses are shooting, ball possession, aerial duels. That's why he releases ball fast if he sees a runner and pauses when he doesn't.

I dey tell you, any small thing lets give the Local Coaches chance and when they meet formidable opponents they fail woefully because the games they have been winning was majorly due to the Players talents and hardwork..

The Players are there but no Proper Coaches.

All them Ann Chiejene, Wemimo and Co just rush go get CAF Coaching Pro License but nothing really to show from their Coaching.. Always dey wait for NFF National Team Job.. If they’re really good it will show in the Clubs they handle in the league.. One of the reasons if I’m to clamor for an Ex-international for the SuperFalcons or any of the age grade team it must be from those who have Coached Abroad..
They think the clubs or other coaches they meet are entitled and resting on their oars.

By now, Nigeria out to be a coaching hub of Africa like how Spain and Germany are to European football. Yet we can't even get them to be inside oven, talkless, hotcake. Hence regular, familiar faces with no youngings in both men and women's.

Super Eagles na Eguavoen we go call.

All of these are not encouraging.

I just have one question. Why is Moses Aduku not close to the sidelines at this CAF WCL? I have noticed this now from the two games played. The camera kept showing the assistant female coach who just sat there for all 90mins+.

There was a time she was caught on camera looking backwards from the bench towards where Aduku is.

Why is Aduku not on the touchline?
Paperwork not complete is the excuse i heard for the first game. Sad sad

If they lose to Mamelodi they’re out…. They better Win or Draw which will be very difficult with Sundown having many Banyana Banyana players in their squad.
They better die on that pitch and gain reputation than concede foolish goals. A draw will be easier to grab if they can hold the ball and pass it around.

What's annoying is the ones that plied abroad are joining to shout this local coach thing.

It is a cool conclusion to say that many of these coaches are super lucky that many of the players are talented so it looks like the coach is doing something until eye clear, just like the u17 last month.

The coaches are too carried away that they forget they need to upgrade to complement the talents on ground for a good outing.

The good takeaway so far is this Edo Queens team is still better than the former reps in this caf wcl.

Now back to coaching. Smh

Reports say contacts have been made with Sane, Kudus and Osimhen.

It will be annoying if Kudus ends up being more expensive than Osimhen. 100m?

For all this season is worth, 2/3 will be a great addition to this team. If we can woo an Odegaard deputy on loan too, e no go bad.

NPFL is not a club. It is a league of clubs. It is on the clubs to wake up and compete.

Take DRC for example. Despite how shitty the country is, TP Mazembe takes its business seriously. For Zambia and Angola it is Zesco(been pants recently) & Petro De Luanda respectively.

Clubs should wake up to their purpose.

Yeah, its on them, but it is up to the league to set the quality of the league regardless of the acumen of individual clubs. We can't continue like this.

These ladies look poised for a semis reach at least.

Edo Queens are cool to watch. Better than Bayelsa queens that year and Rivers Angels years ago. Not as wasteful as those two.

Only the way through balls were easy vs their defense... I hope they have setpieces experts in the XI. It is one thing that's as scarce as diamonds in the nwfl. Work needs to be done on that aspect. But I'll take the firepower i see for now. A good test of the defence may come vs Asfar or Mamelodi and I'll gladly see how that goes. They have 6 players that will come good in Falcons setup, esp Suliat that just left.
