I wish it was about the need for more ruthlessness.


It is about his own setup, expecting apples when he's planting Beans or Millet. A large % of the fanbase screamed when they saw the XI before the game. Yeah we know some players are sick and all that but is that the reason to act like it was way worse than than and had to sacrifice Partey in that manner? He has no biz at RB till tomorrow. I'll rather he finds another makeshift than this RB nonsense. It has never helped this team since he started doing it and that leads me to another problem with him-He will keep trying crap, expecting different results.



I have been crying about a 9 since last season but I'll have to add an attacking midfielder to the mix. Jesus was isolated upfront and creative took a drastic nosedive throughout and man didn't fix it.


It is better he gets more forwards to give better ideas to our entire approach cos we can't continue like this. It is unacceptable. To go far in UCL too, we'll need fresh ideas and legs beyond this regular. We need more shooting as well. Why? Because even with all these holding, wetin be diff?

What are your thoughts about Partey’s contract situation? Should we offer him an extension? Afterall we still have the likes of Jorg in our books. Man is playing out of this world this season. If na by this season, baba has earned it, even if na 2 years but the reality is baba na agba, can he replicate this fitness and conditioning next year?

I don’t think Merino is ready to take full ownership of that role just yet, especially without Partey. I am hoping he is ready next season but I don’t trust it, particularly the speed and physical aspects of the league. Rice isn’t built for that role in our system. We struggle offensively when he sits deep. Coming into this season, I was hoping to see him in attacking zones more but he has been injured quite a bit this season.

I am just worried about the future of that role, post Partey. There is MLS, who is a stud and a natural but I don’t think he should this season. Maybe next season, he can start seeing minutes in that position. I like what Arteta is doing with him this season.

This Partey replacement ish is one we ought to be on since last season though. He's key to Tetaball than we imagine. I believe both Jorg and Partey will make way for younger replacements, but even fans can't currently shout for like for likes available in or out the club.

Personally, I'd love an African to replace him, a younger one. I can't even drop Merino name for such role. Never!!
Both can still do some extra season but not as main XI. I hope we don't abandon his replacement and switch style instead.
